DAYS 1–3 I ARUSHA, TANZANIA/ TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK Arrive in Arusha and travel to Tarangire National Park. Stop at the Noloholo Environmental Center,* headed by National Geographic Explorer Laly Lichtenfeld and run in partnership with the local Maasai people. Then settle into your camp in the heart of Tarangire National Park. DAYS 4–5 I NGORONGORO CRATER Enjoy a picnic breakfast on the floor of UNESCO World Heritage–listed Ngorongoro Crater, the largest non-flooded caldera in the world. DAYS 6–9 I SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK/ ARUSHA Fly to the vast plains of the Serengeti and settle into your tented camp on the savanna. Spend the next three days exploring Serengeti National Park on game drives, and search for crocodiles and hippos on the banks of the Mara River.
