DAYS 1–3 | LAS VEGAS, NEVADA/ DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK/ SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK, CALIFORNIA

Arrive at any time. Go on a scenic drive through the desert to the lowest, hottest, and driest place in North America: Death Valley. Search for animal tracks amid the otherworldly Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. Enjoy an easy hike to a sweeping view over Rainbow Canyon and Panamint Valley. Continue to Sequoia National Park.

DAYS 4–5 | SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK/ KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARK

Join a naturalist on a guided walk in the shadow of Sequoia’s formidable giants—including General Sherman, the largest living single-stem tree on Earth. Learn the history of National Geographic deeding tracts of these giant trees to the National Park Service for safekeeping. Enjoy an evening of guided stargazing, or a nighttime walk to witness nocturnal life. Embark on a drive to one of the U.S. deepest canyons.

DAYS 6–7 | YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

Head north to the south entrance of Yosemite. Climb to the pinnacle of Sentinel Dome for a picnic lunch and 360-degree views of Half Dome, El Capitan, and Yosemite Falls. Continue to Glacier Point for another dramatic vista. Gain an insider’s perspective alongside a naturalist as you hike through the rugged backcountry while hearing about its flora, fauna, and history.

DAYS 8–9 | SAN FRANCISCO

Take the Bay Bridge into San Francisco. Head out on a guided driving tour; step foot on the spectacular Golden Gate Bridge; and stroll past the Painted Ladies Victorian houses. On our last day, depart at any time.
