DAYS 1–4 I SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA/ WOLGAN VALLEY Arrive in Sydney and transfer to your hotel. Take a private tour of the historic Rocks district and the Sydney Opera House. Spend a day sailing Sydney Harbour on a chartered yacht, viewing Watsons Bay; Fort Denison; and the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, the largest steel arch bridge in the world. Travel to the World Heritage–listed Greater Blue Mountains Area and settle into a wildlife reserve nestled among rugged cliffs. DAYS 5–7 I SYDNEY/PORT DOUGLAS Return to Sydney and fly to Cairns. Settle into your bungalow perched on the Coral Sea near Port Douglas. Sail to the outer reef of the Great Barrier Reef for a day of snorkeling and beachcombing with a marine biologist. Then head into the Daintree Rainforest with a member of the Kuku Yalanji tribe to learn about their way of life and their spiritual connection with the forest. DAYS 8–13 I ULURU/MELBOURNE Fly to the outback and venture into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park with a guide. Hike among the domed rocks of Kata Tjuta, and discover the mystique of sacred Uluru. Cap off your adventure in cosmopolitan Melbourne with a city tour and a chance to observe koalas and kangaroos in nearby protected areas.
