Spend a day sailing Sydney Harbour on a chartered yacht, viewing Watsons Bay; Fort Denison; and the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, the largest steel arch bridge in the world. DAYS 5–7 I SYDNEY/PORT DOUGLAS Return to Sydney and fly to Cairns. Settle into your bungalow perched on the Coral Sea near Port Douglas. Sail to the outer reef of the Great Barrier Reef for a day of snorkeling and beachcombing with a marine biologist. Then head into the Daintree Rainforest with a member of the Kuku Yalanji tribe to learn about their way of life and their spiritual connection with the forest. DAYS 8–13 I ULURU/MELBOURNE Fly to the outback and venture into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park with a guide. Hike among the domed rocks of Kata Tjuta, and discover the mystique of sacred Uluru. After dark, meander among the glittering Field of Light art installation and enjoy a special dinner under the stars.
