A LETTER FROM OUR
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FRIENDS, Welcome to the National LGBTQ Task Force’s Winter Party Festival: an event that uniquely combines celebration, community and a great cause. As you know, our tagline, be you, is all about our work to create a world where LGBTQ people can bring their entire selves — without fear of persecution, discrimination and violence; where you can “be you” without any barriers. For six days we create such a world at Winter Party Festival. South Florida is always special to the Task Force — a place where we have a long history of working side-by-side with local leaders and activists to create positive change for all South Floridians. Funds raised through the Festival and its sister event, the National LGBTQ Task Force Gala — Miami, support our work to secure full freedom, justice and equality for LGBTQ people and their families across the nation. To date and in partnership with the GLBT Community Projects Fund of The Miami Foundation, we have donated more than $2.1 million to help support the work of more than 70 organizations serving the LGBTQ community in South Florida.
On behalf of the board and staff of the Task Force, I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to the Winter Party Festival Committee, led by the phenomenal Justin Bell, for their hard work, passion and dedication to creating a world-class event. I also give thanks and appreciation to the generous individuals and companies who’ve made financial contributions to this spectacular event. We couldn’t do what we do without your generous support. Thanks for joining us for the biggest and best Winter Party Festival ever—and thanks for being you. See you on the dance floor!
REA CAREY
Executive Director

A LETTER FROM OUR
FESTIVAL CHAIR GREETINGS! Welcome to the 2016 Winter Party Festival, where for six magical days we celebrate YOU! With over 13,000 guests from around the world, the sheer scale of Winter Party is truly awe-inspiring. Go ahead: clear your head by taking a deep breath of ocean air, and fill your heart as you dance on the warm sands of Miami Beach. We guarantee that you’ll return home happier, wiser, and ready to ignite the world. For those returning this year, welcome back! And for those who are joining us for the first time, you’re in for an amazing week! I would like to thank the City of Miami Beach, Mayor Philip Levine, and all City Commissioners and staff members who go to great lengths to support Winter Party Festival. I would also like to thank all the amazing sponsors who make the event possible, while kindly asking you, our guests, to support them in return for their valuable support of our community. At Winter Party Festival, you’re in good hands thanks to the hard work of hundreds of the friendliest volunteers on the planet. We thank our volunteer Executive Committee members for devoting countless hours of their time and energy to making Winter Party unforgettable.
Above all, we’re here with a purpose. Under the stewardship of the National LGBTQ Task Force, Winter Party Festival is one of the largest non-profit festivals in the world raising funds on behalf of the LGBTQ community. Since 2005, when the Task Force began producing Winter Party and the Task Force Gala – Miami (our sister event), we’ve donated more than $2.1 million to South Florida LGBTQ non-profit organizations, by way of the GLBT Community Projects Fund of The Miami Foundation. Thank you for supporting Winter Party Festival, and welcome to Miami Beach. Let’s make some memories!
Justin M. Bell
Winter Party Festival Chairman

ABOUT THE
TASK FORCE The National LGBTQ Task Force advances full freedom, justice and equality for LGBTQ people. We’re building a future where everyone is free to be themselves in every aspect of their lives. Today, despite all the progress we’ve made to end discrimination, millions of LGBTQ people face barriers in every aspect of their lives: in housing, employment, healthcare, retirement, and basic human rights. These barriers must go. That’s why the Task Force is training and mobilizing millions of activists across our nation to deliver a world where you can be you.
