Roman Arches
Roman Triple Arch Facade with Fluted Ionic Columns Our Roman Arches are available in a number of configurations. The two standard openings are 900mm and 1200mm with a single arch of each comprising a left, right and three middle Voussoirs. A Springer for each size of opening allows for any number of multiple arches and 9/12 Springer (as shown here) enables endless combinations of the two different openings. There is also a choice of Plain or Fluted Columns with a selection of Doric, Ionic or Tuscan bases and capitals. (please see pages 4 & 5)

Romanesque Cloister Windows Our Romanesque Cloister Windows are available in an almost limitless number of configurations. The standard openings are 300mm and 400mm. They start as a single opening as shown to the left and right, but when combined with the corresponding sized springer any number of openings can be achieved. There is also a 300/400mm Springer which allows you to switch from one opening to the other in the same window. Usually the larger opening would be placed in the centre of the run (as shown on pages 8 & 9), but the choice is yours. The heights can also be altered by using different numbers of Jambs.

As well as the combinations of window openings described and illustrated above there is also a choice of Jambs and Window heights. Small jambs can be used together in multiples to form windows of varying height, or they can be mixed with large Jambs as shown on this page.

Renaissance Balustrade & Steps
Michelangelo (1475-1564) designed the double or twin staircases to the Palazzo Senatorio in Rome leading to the Piazza del Campidoglio. These monumental stairways were decorated with perfect stone balustrades. Built atop ancient Roman ruins, this Renaissance architecture signals the rebirth of Roman architectural traditions.
