① Shirt

Teetawat Mounggate

Everything was created for some purpose but what will happen if we use it differently? This piece has inspiration from when the composer flicks the cloth after waking up and it makes a sound. He decides to use his cloth as an instrument and make a theatre performance to show that we can make music from something close to our lives like a t-shirt.

Inspired by one of our members who kept a junk journal as a memoir for her daily life We recreated the journal and we try to reproduce the sound from each pages of our journal which is set to different themes and styles with all sort of junk as our instruments.

PROGRAM

③ Keyboard

Wongsapatt Aiemwattanapong

This performance is a music theater as a result of my daily use of computer keyboards for work, play, and other activities. I'm considering creating music based on The Typewriter piece by Leloy Anderson I'll be playing the QWERTY Keyboard duet with clarinet in my performance My program will cover numerous aspects of office life, such as sitting down to type and having a boss who assigns our job. It will be broken into three sections covering a distinct aspect of office life Morning, noon, and evening hours before getting off work The sound of typing on the keyboard will convey a range of emotions, including leisurely, hasty, irritated. Additionally, there will be a clarinet playing that will reflect the current mood and ambiance of the work

④ Living Organs

This instrument is called “Living Organs,” which shows what happens inside our body and the respiratory system The plastic bags imitate the lungs inside and produce sound with inhaling and exhaling. The PVC tubes are connected to a plastic lung. This instrument experiments with the sound of human breathing and artificial lungs. Furthermore, this imitates movements inside that are related to the performer's breathing

"FOOT""STEP"

This piece was written by a composer who was unable to play an instrument at the time due to a severe hand injury. He realized that losing hand control restricts our ability to play an instrument He thinks about singing, but he wants to find another way to make music Then he decides to create music with his foot as a new instrument. The foot, which can make sound in a variety of ways, is one of the easiest body parts to control. In the end, this composition is finished as one in which you can create sound using any object as a percussion instrument by your feet

What is this!… this strange object? What is it doing here? It radiates this huh? ‘tis strange It shines something emanates from it’s inside it makes me think; it makes me rage. Why is it here… or rather, how is it here? How did it even get here? What must we expect a show? Ha!

The Monolith

Basilisk

In this performance, I explore sibilance and other sounds inspired by snakes through the expansion of the violin. The violin is treated as an organism that breathes, rattles, hisses, and weaves itself through different surfaces, resulting in friction Adhering to my philosophy from previous works, I employ materials that are available in common households. As the player breathes through the straw connected to the F-hole of the violin, the hissing is produced without any conscious action The strings are muted with thin paper, creating subtle sibilances that the player can control with their bow, mimicking the movement of a snake.

Rest Your Eyes

Theeratep Prasopsuk

The aim of this performance is to trigger, in the audience, an instinctive sense of fear; a fight-or-flight response. By taking away the ability to see, audiences must rely on their heightened auditory and olfactory perceptions Through this mist of paranoia, you will find yourself questioning the reality of your surroundings.
