Dear Nature Traveler,
When you’re determined to experience the world’s most entrancing wild destinations, your spirit of adventure will inevitably lead you to Australia.
And no one brings you closer to Australia’s natural wonders than Nat Hab. This enormous island continent teems with wildlife as wondrous and varied as its vast landscapes. Native species abound, from the familiar koala and ferocious Tasmanian devil to the lesser-known wombat, wallaby, echidna and countless others.
Our exclusive itineraries reveal more of Australia’s wild nature. Australia South takes you farthest down under to explore Kangaroo Island, Tasmania and Victoria. Australia North gets you deep into the Outback, from the floodplains of Kakadu to the rugged Kimberley and the vast Red Center, including legendary Uluru. And our Ultimate Australia Safari spans the continent from top to bottom, adding the Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef.
Small groups allow for unprecedented private encounters with local naturalists, expert biologists, conservationists and Indigenous guides. And with fewer people, we can seek out more remote places in nature and stay in intimate ecolodges.
Trips of this magnitude wouldn’t be possible without private chartered flights. Ours do double duty, offering an aerial view of the country’s grand terrain while eliminating days of driving or returning to cities—taking you farther, faster. And naturally, we offset all the carbon emissions generated on your trip.
Interest in our Australia adventures is booming, and rightly so. The country’s whimsical wildlife, famously friendly people, and delectable food and wine deliver an adventure every nature traveler deserves to experience.
I hope to see you out there,
P.S. These small-group adventures are limited to just 12 guests per trip, so please know that space will be limited. Call 800-543-8917 or your travel advisor today to learn more or to check availability.
Australia’s dramatic landscapes and unique wildlife are front and center when you discover its wild reaches with Nat Hab. From the colorful biodiversity of the Great Barrier Reef to the rugged mountains of Tasmania and the contrasting landscapes in between, we comb the continent to immerse you in the grandeur of nature. Between our dawn and dusk excursions to observe endemic animals like marsupials, we explore World Heritage Sites, wildlife sanctuaries, internationally protected wetlands and more. Go behind the scenes on exclusive visits and private tours with scientists, conservationists, Indigenous guides and other experts who shine light on Australia’s many environmental initiatives. Integral to these efforts is our partnership with World Wildlife Fund. Since 2003, Nat Hab and our guests have given more than $45 million to WWF’s efforts to conserve Earth’s most precious and imperiled places.

NORTHERN TERRITORY
A three-week nature extravaganza from Australia’s tropical top to Tasmania down south—including the Great Barrier Reef and Flinders Ranges Outback. Eight national parks, seven private reserves and four World Heritage Sites! New Zealand
Australia is huge. Thousands of miles separate many of our far-flung destinations. Rather than waste time on long drives, we often fly between locations. But commercial air schedules and logistics can eat up precious safari time, so we skip those, chartering planes for certain legs. This means no complicated connections or layovers—you don’t come this far to spend excessive time sitting in airports or vehicles (although the drives we do include are integral to your nature experience). Via the small airports we fly into, you’ll be watching wildlife within an hour of landing! Beyond merely convenient, these flights are stunningly scenic. With a bird’s-eye view of the landscape, you’ll gain a unique appreciation for Australia’s scale and geographic diversity.
When you journey to wild Australia with Nat Hab, you’ll have the advantage of traveling with top naturalist guides to decode the country’s vast and varied nature. Our Expedition Leaders have intimate knowledge of the country’s flora and fauna, and their friendliness and exquisite attention to detail ensures a superlative experience. Their understanding of the country’s natural history extends beyond wildlife to Oz’s otherworldly landscapes, Aboriginal culture and modern conservation efforts. With access to resources from WWF and personal connections to the communities we visit, they individualize your encounter with Australia, anticipating your needs and accommodating your interests. As you traverse the country, they’ll regale you with stories from the bush and traditional folklore. Our philosophy is simple: a nature adventure is only as good as the guide who leads it, so we provide the best.
Unlike many Australia tours, we cap our groups at just 12 guests, ensuring a deeper, more peaceful nature experience. In a small group, you’ll get uninterrupted time with your Expedition Leader where you can ask all your questions and gain greater insight into Australia’s many marvels. Our nimble size allows for exclusive visits with scientists, conservationists and residents who generously share their stories and cultural heritage. Traveling in a small group allows us to visit more remote places and stay in intimate lodges close to wildlife and conservation sanctuaries—sometimes with exclusive occupancy. You’ll also bond more easily with your fellow travelers through your shared experiences, love of nature and commitment to conservation. And with your Expedition Leader and local guides, you’re assured flexibility in activities. Join us to experience the difference a small group makes.
Australia is huge—about the same size as the continental USA. It’s wide, it’s wild, it’s wondrous. And it’s filled with some of the world’s most intriguing creatures, many of which are found nowhere else. Dive deep with us in search of koalas and kangaroos, wombats and wallaroos, pademelon, platypus, cassowary, crocodile, quoll, echidna, goanna, bearded dragon, Tasmanian devil, and many more species whose names are as quirky as their appearance and behavior. If you’re a wildlife fanatic who wants to see it all, we’ve pulled out all the stops to create a truly peerless encounter with the unique and fascinating creatures Down Under. Spanning the continent from top to bottom, our singular itinerary connects Australia’s most iconic nature destinations and diverse ecosystems on a seamless route facilitated by our chartered flights. Add a whole host of private encounters with local naturalists, expert biologists, conservationists and Indigenous guides, and you have the most exclusive, educational and entertaining nature adventure Australia has to offer.
As you explore wild Australia with Nat Hab, you’ll discover that “luxury” takes on an expanded meaning. In this case, the real luxury is being surrounded by nature. But our accommodations are memorable, with their own unique character, including Chambers Wildlife Rainforest Lodge, tucked within the tropical rainforest of the Atherton Tablelands; our eco-resort on Lady Elliot Island offering snorkel-from-the-beach access to the Great Barrier Reef; Rawnsley Park Station, surveying the vast Outback of the Flinders Ranges; and luxury lakeside cabins at Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain Lodge.

Journey to the back of beyond on this singular itinerary that connects three of Australia’s most remote tracts of untouched wilderness via private chartered flights. In the vast Red Center, watch the sun set over the legendary monolith of Uluru (Ayers Rock), and wonder at more stars than you’ve ever seen in your life. With interpretation from Aboriginal guides, delve into the watery wilderness of Kakadu, thick with crocodiles. Fly west to the Kimberley, where the beehive stacks of the Bungle Bungle Range form an otherworldly landscape. In Australia’s far-flung north, the Dreamtime shapes primal terrain where human cultures have been integrated with the land for more than 65,000 years.
Discover the depths of Northern Australia’s Outback from the relaxed comfort of our ecolodge bases and a luxury train. Among travelers who covet spectacular natural scenery, New Zealand is legendary. Our focus is the South Island, a land of topographic extremes, from seaside rain forests and sapphire lakes to ice-crowned peaks, active glaciers and frigid fjords. On a dramatic itinerary that winds from alpine heights to Pacific shores, we are immersed in nature at its showiest. Explore majestic peaks and lush gorges in Fiordland National Park, hike on remote Mou Waho Island in Lake Wanaka, and walk among towering ferns to wild Monro Beach. Within these diverse landscapes, we find rare and intriguing creatures such as the flightless buff weka, yellow-eyed penguins and the famous brown kiwi. We also experience the hospitality New Zealanders are renowned for as we meet sheep farmers, learn about Maori culture, and find a bit of Scottish heritage in the South Pacific.
From secluded ecolodges, search for rare birds on rain forest hikes, paddle a kayak on a mountain lake, and stargaze beneath some of the darkest skies on Earth
On little-visited Stewart Island, a Dark Sky Sanctuary, look for elusive kiwis on a guided night walk, and view breeding seabirds on a private boat excursion
Aboard our privately chartered boat, cruise the glacial-carved fjords of Milford Sound, where waterfalls plummet in silver ribbons from 500 feet above
