Regarding the increasing approach to living in residential complexes, the necessity of paying attention to the design and decision making about these spaces becomes serious. Also, one of the problems that we face it today, is the matter of amount and type of people’s social interaction in the residential places, having increasingly been weakened recently, due to the gradually fading concept of neighborhood. Accordingly, the hypothesis of present study is based on the principle that, the way of organizing elements and blocks in residential complexes –due to its effect on factors like legibility, permeability, flexibility, and domain- can influence the formation of public and semipublic spaces, and consequently affect the social interaction of residents.

Sitting the masses in a more coherent settlement in terms of the proportion of open spaces existing on the ground to the residential masses, I came up with several different settlements and picked one, as the final alternative. These were all followed by the analysis of the existing pattern of distribution in other sorrounding residential complexes.

The design of the typical units was a pararel process to the design of the whole settlement, in which each unit differes in every block, due to the needs of different family types, considered before designing the whole housing units. To find the possible location of each block, a pixelization method was used in order to comeup with the best possible proportion of the open spaces, compared to the housing blocks.
The environmental issue of Tehran is not a new thing. It has become one of the most essential phenomena of the city since the last few decades which also has raised the global attentions. The question is about the steps we have taken to control it.
GREEN SPACE PER CAPITA IN TEHRAN These massive ecological spaces were designed before the new urban developement of district 22 and they do not have an strong connection to the urban fabric.

In today’s world, not only the universities, but also other spaces such as dormitories and cafes are in charge of educating young people. These spaces often provide the possibiliy of social interactions among students, away from the control of their universities. However, to a large extend, collegians nowadays use dorms as a temporary residence to only have rest and eat, I tried to widen the scope of my investigation in order to come up with the idea of more interactional spaces, in order to discover potentials out of a typical building. A community center in touch with the urban life, located inside one of the un-used parks near the university can be a great help, when it comes along with a dormitory.

One of the most notable challenges in terms of finding a suitable site for the proposed building was to find the best possible area that can remain remote from the traffic congestions and at the same time, be connected to the exsiting public transportation routes. This site, with 1800 m2 area, facilitates the students with a great convinience both in their residence and connection to the urban facilities.

The most conspicuous material is the exposed concrete that makes up faรงades. Horizontal louvers are used with three different dimensions. They are attached each with the maximum cantilever from the vertical support to create a woven pattern to comprise a unified faรงade to the public, and shaded walkways with a dynamic play of light for the inhabitants.
In every large city, there exists lots of spatial potentials to develope new spaces in harmony with the needs of modern citizens. The sorroundings of city theater of Tehran, existed at the heart of the most memorable cultural landmarks of the city, has not been experiencing any foundamental changes throughout the past decades, while the need to develope a set of new programs is becoming vitally important. This project aims to come up with spaces to activate some of the potentials of the site.

The connection between the two main focal points, the underground station and the core of the park, come together in two interconnecting spaces that is proposed in this project. This will direct the flow of people and the activities that they can not find a proper place, like street selling and performing, to a more proper space.

The main challenge in the architectural scale was to place the demanded programmes, in a way that would not enterfere with the existing activitie that are taking happen in the site. The Programme was to design a cafe, a box office, a multi-purpose hall and an event space for some national and religious ceremonies. Early hand sketches
The interactions between the existing park, adjacent to the proposed space
As it may seem from my earliest sketches, the necessity of causing the minumum changes to the skyline of the site led me to think about a penetration to the underground, instead of putting objects on top of the plaza, which could appear a noise to the existing plaza.

The elemtns inside the public spaces of the hotel like lobby and cafe, try to connect with the exterior spaces, in order to deliver a sense of continuety between inside and outside. Given the site, there was a limitation to the built area. To analyse different aspects of the sorroundings which could affect the act of massing of our hotel, we divided the site into 3 equal parts. The diagram shows the segmentation in order to analyse the whole site. Q

The initial exercises of the Plugin Systems Studio presented concepts on the mutual relationships between two things, diagrammatically. In this particular exercise I tried to explain these relationships by using lines and dotted lines.

33 The process of the second exercise was opponent to the first one. Here, we were to produce drawings, some based on the studied concepts and some to go beyond them. These relationships were set-up in a way that it could explain a relationship between the grid, which is rigid and invariant, and a freely chosen system with specific rules. My choice for the grid was a checkered surface in which black and white squares would inversely change their position with the overlapping edge of the imposed shape so that it would display a hybrid image of these two systems as well.

Following the second exercise, the third one occurred in a three dimensional space. In this exercise, I defined empty and filled cubes as a grid which could intersect with different surfaces and volumes to generate spaces with different states. The intersecting volumes and surfaces would invert the position of the empty and filled cubes. Hence, “Inversives was the principal keyword throughout my exercises and it displays how inverse behaviors can showcase the synchronization of two shapes or volumes. Finally, we also analyzed the behavior of the context which could influence or be influenced by the system.
Due to the historical value of the site, we decided not to destroy any parts of the landscape. The idea was to extend the pontential of the existing water activities along side the coast into the project. We believed that the characteristics of a theatre adjacent to these activities, must defferentiate programmatically, compared to a theatre located inside the city. So we difined the theater not only as a platform for human performances, but also as a place to percept the performace of the nature.

The concept of a house, as a place that carries memories and preceptional belongings, is a significant factor when it comes to design a residence. The program was to design a house for two families, considering 3 bedrooms for each, and a guest house for one of them. It was also important to find a way that connect the individual houses with each other, both formally and functionally.

The sorroundings of the site clearly shows how the small park has affected the quality of the region. The idea was to extend the linear trees of this landscape to separate the site into two parts, so that both houses could benefit from it.
As it may seem from the plan, the massing of each house unit is affected by the viewpoints, both towards the open spaces inside and outside of the project.
This project is museum of literature located inside the city center of Mashhad. Owing to the fact that persian classical literature has always been enterwined with nature, the concept is to take the advantage of the persian garden paradigm and convert it to the modern languege of landscape design.

Due to the location of the site which is adjacent to one of the most congested streets in Mashhad, I decided to create a sillent zone inside the given site and design a landscape with spatial features of a persian garden. Passing the visitors from a crowded zone to a silent landscape, this museum takes the advantage of the exisitng rows of old trees in order to give the experience of a natural environment to the street passengers who may want to take some time in a more tranquil atmosphere.
