PRESIDENT LYNN CUTTLE Well what a weird year we have had so far…. To start with we had our Editor resign so you have been stuck with newsletters for the last 4 /5 months. As you can tell we have now got a interim EDITOR (Thanks magic magician) who has kindly offered to assemble a real magazine for you (and us) Our magic magician will keep going until our AGM next month and then might even get elected and stay on, so lets be real nice and thank him for stepping up. Secondly, due to circumstance’s we do not have at the moment a RALLY or MOTORKHANA Secretary. The Committee will endeavour to keep you up to date with all event situations as they arise. So next month we are due for our AGM on Friday 10th July. You will find within this Nissan Link a Nomination form that I am requesting that you print off and forward with by snail mail (Australia Post) or by email to Vicki Curry. Her details are on the form. If we don’t get a new committee at our AGM (Due to maybe not being able to have a contact meeting) then the current committee will stay on as an interim committee until we can have a contact meeting. If we get nominations for positions sent to Vicki before 5pm Friday 10th July and there is no voting required then the people nominated will become elected as if we were all in the same room. If a vote is required then the nominations will be closed at 5pm Friday 10th July 2020 and the club members will need to decide at the next meeting and that position will not be declared filled but may stay as is until the voting takes place EG – President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer or Membership. Now onto some fun bits, rumours are about that we might just be able to start competing again soon, this will be great for some and it would be wonderful to have some events to have a series to score on for our presentation awards. I am putting my feelers out for event dates, have any of you heard anything?
** Editors note** Hi guys! Hope you've been well. In this document (for those that have received it via e-mail), you can fill out the E form on the next page. When you do that, it will land in the inbox of our Secretary like magic! For those that received it via snail mail, fill out the following page as normal and send it off to the specified address.

SECRETARY VICKY CURRY Well, here we are in June already. Whilst there has been no action in the motorsport arena for some months now, we are all getting itchy feet waiting for the return to happen. The only motorsport that I have been watching is the Supercars E series. What a great thing to watch. Congratulations to the organizers of these events. On to some serious stuff. In July our club holds our Annual General Meeting where we elect our office bearers for the next 12 months. However, at this stage the venue for our meetings is closed to the public.
As the COVID-19 lock down is the first such event of its type with the far-reaching consequences there are no set parameters for how to cope with things that need to happen by set times. (like AGM) Anyway, as there is still no much happening out there in the motorsport world, my report is brief. Hope to see you all soon
TREASURER GORDON LEDWIDGE Available funds as at 25/05/2020 $26282.32 Just a little update on things happening. Currently working 3 days a week including all day Saturdays which brings its own problems now that things may change as far as motorsport is concerned. Not in a really happy place as this undertaking will affect my scrutineering duties. Looking forward to getting out in the motorsport world. Have managed to make a reasonable start on my SSS. Have a new interior trim, looks great. More parts attached, much needed window belt moulds seem to be really hard to find and could be a drama down the road. It is starting to look like a restored SSS, so enjoying this process. Will have a few ongoing photos in the next issue. See you round the tracks

AUTOCROSS RUSSELL SEABROOK (FROM FACEBOOK) UPDATE from the VCAS Committee. Club reps met last week (via Skype) to discuss the future of the 2020 VCAS Series post COVID-19. At this stage with the current outdoor gathering restrictions limited to 10 people it is not possible to run an autocross still, but there is racing lights on the Horizon. SHSCC will NOT be running their scheduled June double header round, but MADCC are continuing to plan to run their July round. Obviously to enable this MADCC round to happen, it will require legal COVID-19 restrictions to be eased to allow at least 100 people at an event. To enable it to occur there will be additional requirements like social distancing, sanitizing and Motorsport Australia COVID-19 requirements and emailed drivers briefings etc, but there may also be limitations of 1 event attendee per entrant plus essential officials to comply with the event numbers limitations and allow a reasonable field size... - TBD once we actually know. It is also likely the Nov spare date will be taken up - again TBD... If the MADCC round is able to run, it is likely that the 2019 Series trophies will be presented there - but again TBD... Anyway - Stay tuned, keep building your cars, keep social distancing and we will all be back racing soon.. . Once the legal restrictions allow racing, we will announce what will occur... -Nicholas Charrett (2019/20 VCAS Chairman)
