G.E.A.R Get Your G.E.A.R Together
Adventure Guides will be given options to help kids engage the Bible story. (Video, Bible References, story telling, guided questions)
Activate
Help kids dig deeper into that week’s theme with fun activities (crafts, art, music, treats, games, etc) we will give you options.
Reinforce
As kids make their way home, we want them to have the theme reinforced with the help of their family during the week. We will give them take-home activities or references.
Engage
Adventure Guides will be given options to create an energetic atmosphere as the kids gather for their club meeting
Gather
Kids X Club Adventure Guides will be provided all the G.E.A.R they need to lead their club in their weekly adventures.

Pathway to Gather “Let’s Get a Little Crazy” - Music Video
1. Have Music playing as the kids
2. Welcome the kids and introduce yourself as the Adventure Guide!
This week we are going to discover that “The Lamb” is the Messenger of Hope! And that the Lamb is Jesus!
3. Turn to Hope Game Adventure Guide: prior to game should hang the “HOPE” poster on the wall • • • • •
Have kids stand up Say “Turn to the Right” Say “Turn to the Left” Say “Turn to the Middle” Say “Turn to Hope”
Play as many times as you like; you can move HOPE around; you can change the commands as needed. I.E. “Turn toward the Window”

4. Have kids watch and learn the motions to “Count on Jesus”

Engage
Adventure Guides will be given options to help kids engage the Bible story.
1. Have the kids put their hands together in a prayer posture. Pray the following prayer
O Lord, your Bible is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Give us grace to hear your truth in faith and love, and strength to follow on the path you have put before us. Amen! 2. Play “Revelation Sing Along” - a fun way to prepare for October’s Readings from Revelation

4. Guided Questions A. What are some reasons John may have been in prison (sent away)? B. John wrote his letter on a Scroll (describe a scroll). Have you ever received a card in the mail? What did it look like? What was on it? C. This month we will be learning about how God used a man name John to deliver a message from Jesus about hope to people who were having a hard time. To hope for something means we look forward to something good happening.

Scavenger Hunt {find the Lamb}
You will need:

Construction paper Glue and/or tape Scissors Popsicle Sticks String or ribbon Pens/decorative material
A Toy Lamb or Picture of a Lamb

Hide the Lamb somewhere in the kids x club space available. Prepare Sheets of clues Have kids work alone or in pairs
Cut the paper to fit the size of your sticks Glue or tape pieces together. Use markers to write on the paper, inscribing Bible verse or theme Tape a stick to each side of the verse, Roll up the sides and tie a string around to secure. Open the scroll to read the Scripture as Jesus might have experienced it!
