Community College Partnership NCCU and our community college partners are dedicated to providing students with the essential resources they need to achieve their educational goals. In order to facilitate this, we have developed articulation agreements that establish a clear pathway for students who hold an Associate of Applied Science degree to transition into a four-year institution.

Academic Advisor
Crosswalk outlines community college courses and their NCCU equivalent. Providing students with a clear understanding of transferable courses.
Crosswalk also provides students the remaining NCCU courses needed to complete the Criminal Justice, B.S. degree program.
Before admission, students can work with an Academic Advisor to maximize transfer credits and will continue to receive assistance from the same advisor after admission to NCCU.

Cohort Model
Courses are available in 16-week, 8-week, and 4-week formats. We also have a combination of asynchronous and synchronous course options.
Students with an A.A.S. in Criminal Justice can complete their B.S. degree in 2 years by following our accelerated block course schedule.
Students progress through the program as a cohort. Adding benefits such as shared learning experiences, increased motivation, building a professional network, and a sense of community.
Criminal Justice, B.S. NCCU’s B.S. in Criminal Justice major will provide you with an understanding of the criminal justice system, its agencies, personnel, and historical foundation. Through both classroom and field experience, you will be prepared for a responsible position in criminal justice and related agencies.
Our mission is to prepare students to become leaders, outstanding practitioners, scholars, and advocates for social justice in a diverse and global society. Curriculum and practice experiences challenge students to become critical and analytical consumers of information, advocates for social justice, and promote the administration of justice, crime prevention, and crime control in a diverse and global society. The curriculum through both classroom and field experience is designed to provide students with a familiarity of the criminal justice system, the theories underlying criminal behavior, and the research methodology required to analyze current criminal justice issues.

All prospective students must complete the admission process at North Carolina Central University before registering for an online course. Complete Application Complete the Distance Education online application. It should take 15-20 minutes to complete the application. Select “Community College Partnership (CCP)” $50 Non-Refundable Application Fee
Step 3
Order Official Transcripts Order official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended. Visit the college(s) website, Parchment, or National Student Clearinghouse to order official transcripts. All official electronic transcripts should be sent to nccuonlineadmissions@nccu.edu. Upon Acceptance Check the admission portal for updates on your application status. Confirm your intention to enroll by paying a $100 enrollment fee via the admission portal. If needed, apply for financial aid. NCCU’s School Code is 002950.
