Making A Gift

Thank you

Thank you

Donations at all levels will help us to achieve our aim to reach as many girls as possible. Donations can be spread across a number of years and as the GDST is a registered charity, Gift Aid can be claimed, thereby increasing the value of eligible donations at no cost to the individual giving. There are additional benefits available for donations given by higher rate taxpayers.

100% of the donations made to our Bursary Fund will support pupils at Newcastle High School for Girls, as all administration costs are covered by the School and the Girls’ Day School Trust.

Gifts can be used now to support a pupil and we would be very happy to discuss creating a bursary in you or your family’s name.

Making a gift of shares or investments is a simple, tax-efficient way to support our bursary fund. You won’t have to pay any capital gains tax on the shares you donate, and you may be able to claim income tax relief too.

The cost of a bursary £120,000 will fund a girl through the full seven years of Senior School including travel, uniform, curriculumbased trips and activities so that she can make the most of school life.

£34,000 will fund a Sixth Form education for an ambitious pupil, including careers support and access to the GDST Alumnae network of over 70,000 women working in industries globally.

£17,000 will pay for one year’s fees and costs for a bright, determined girl to study at NHSG.
