WHAT IS LEADERSHIP?
A leader is someone who inspires and motivates action to bring about change for the better.
WHO CAN APPLY FOR THE LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME?
Our Junior School Leadership programme gives you the opportunity to take on an important role within school which is suited to your passions and ambitions. There are a number of different qualities and skills involved in being a leader so we would encourage you to apply, even if you are not sure it is for you.
The programme has also been specially designed to help you prepare for similar leadership roles at Senior School.
Within this booklet you will be able to find out further details on each position including key responsibilities.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR A LEADERSHIP
ROLE?
Write a letter of application, of no more than 500 words, explaining why you would like to be considered for the role and hand in to Mrs Barnett.

WHERE DOES YOUR PASSION LIE?
SPORT LEADER
SPORT LEADER— promoting inclusion and opportunity in sport across Junior School. Working with the PE staff to develop the provision in school and on events such as Sports Day.
MUSIC AMBASSADOR— promoting inclusion and opportunity in Music across Junior School. Working with the Music staff on concerts and events.
FORUM REPRESENTATIVE— leading the pupil voice for your form class, through forum meetings.
HOUSE CAPTAIN—leading on the programme of house activities in Junior School and promoting inclusion and participation in house events.
DIGITAL LEADER—leading on the programme of digital development in Junior School and promoting safe use of technology among your peers.
SCIENCE AMBASSADOR— leading on the STEM programme for girls in Junior School and promoting inclusion and participation across Junior School.

• A programme of leadership training throughout the academic year
• A commitment to acting for the benefit of others and as an ambassador for Junior School. Working with JSLT to oversee the leadership programme in Junior School, and lead key committees and forums.
