Reflections on Thanksgiving
We are reminded of God’s unwavering faithfulness to Shechem Children’s Home. The blessings we have received through your prayers, generous donations, and steadfast support are tangible evidence of His provision.
TRANSFORMATION IN PROGRESS
We are thrilled to share that 57% of Shechem’s renovation is now complete! This progress brings us closer to creating a safe, nurturing, and fully equipped space for the children
HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR PROGRESS
• Significant upgrades on the Main House repairs, including new flooring, ceiling finishes, and wall repairs, are ensuring a safe and welcoming environment
• The kitchen is being remodeled, making it more functional and efficient The plans were improved to include 2 additional restrooms
• Plans for a dedicated therapeutic space are underway, which will play a vital role in the children’s recovery journey.
Despite this progress, additional work remains be done To fully complete the project, we need $40,000 the remaining upgrades and furnishings, which include exterior finishes and the site development plan With help, we can bring this vision to life and create a home where the children can heal, grow, and thrive.
Education is a cornerstone of recovery at Shechem and the tutoring program is transforming lives This quarter, our children showed remarkable progress in their studies, boosting not only their academic skills but also their confidence.

VISITORS BRING JOY AND FELLOWSHIP
This quarter, Shechem was blessed by the presence of dedicated partners who brought hope, love, and sense of community to the children
In July, the Owensborro Church of the Nazarene was a beacon of joy Through a generous donation, heartfelt devotions, lively games, and creative arts and crafts, they reminded the children that they are deeply loved and cherished
Continuing their steadfast support, Cornerstone Community Baptist Church enriched the children’s spiritual journey with Sunday School sessions and engaging activities Their thoughtful donations provided much-needed resources, reflecting God’s provision through their hands
These visits were more than activitiesthey were a celebration of God’s love in action, leaving lasting imprints on the children’s hearts
PRAISE REPORT
A donor has committed $5,000 toward purchasing a new vehicle for the home. However, we still need 5–6 more donors to cover the total cost of $25,000.
PRAYER REQUESTS
• Renovation Completion: Pray for financial provision to finalize the renovation and fully equip the home.
• Healing and Growth: Continue to pray for the children’s physical, emotional, and spiritual recovery.
• Transportation Needs: Pray for additional donors to contribute toward the vehicle fund.
