General News New NCAP COVID-Testing Resource NCAP unveils our COVID-19 Testing Toolkit. This resource is set up as four modules: 1) general testing information
2) diagnostic testing information
3) antibody serology testing information 4) documentation and billing information.
This toolkit was created to assist NC pharmacists who are interested in getting involved in the provision of COVID-19 testing. NCAP used a work group of pharmacists involved in testing, and a Masters of Public Health and Doctor of Pharmacy student team from Campbell University to create this comprehensive resource. As we all know, new information is emerging every week regarding COVID-19 testing, we have a process in place to periodically update the toolkit as new information becomes available. We also have plans to create a Q/A
portal for members to ask questions about COVID testing, and we plan to offer a webinar in July to accompany the toolkit but will use a panel approach to address more of the ‘art’ of testing vs. ‘the science’ of testing. Stay tuned for more information about these additions. To access the toolkit click here.

NCAP Annual Awards We all work with amazing pharmacists and technicians. If you work with someone who you believe is exemplary, then take a few minutes to review the description of the awards and nominate that individual, if he or she has the characteristics and contributions for a specific award. Who knows maybe you are working with our next Technician-of-the-Year, or our Bowl of Hygeia recipient, or perhaps our next Distinguished Young Pharmacist awardee. To view a list of the awards and criteria, as well as nominate an individual, click here and email your nomination to angie@ncpharmacists.org by July 12th.
