CREST is a nationally recognised scheme for student-led enquiry-based project work in STEM subjects. You choose your own subject and methodology for a hands-on investigation on whatever sparks your interest. There are 4 types of project: Practical Investigation, Design and Build, Research, and Communication. You will need to attend Research Skills sessions to aid your investigation. CREST awards allow you to conduct real research, contributing something new to a field of study and will help you to become an independent and reflective learner. If that wasn’t enough, you can enter your project into the Big Bang and Teen Tech Competitions, where you can showcase your project and have the chance of winning cash prizes or business and industry sponsored awards.
