Thank you for joining us as we take bold steps toward a brighter future together.
“Animals give so much to mankind, it’s only fitting that we give back something to them.” — Randall B. Terry
$16M Endowment Pledge The R.B. Terry Charitable Foundation made a transformational five-year, $16 million pledge to the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. This gift was completed in 2018 and has been used to establish endowments in three areas that are vital to the future of the college.
$8M DVM Scholarship Endowment
$5M Professorship Endowment
$16M $3M Research Endowment
“The scholarship alleviates financial stress and allows me to focus more on academic work and student service organizations.” — Kate Thompson, ’19
$8M DVM Scholarship Endowment The R.B. Terry Charitable Foundation pledge was first used to provide $8 million toward DVM Scholarship Endowments to support our veterinary students. $5 million of these funds were used to match a major gift, $5 million, from Ross and Michelle Annable to create the $10 million Annable Scholars Endowment. The remaining $3 million of the pledge has been used to establish the Terry Scholars Endowment. Thanks to the R.B. Terry Charitable Foundation’s gift, 30 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine candidates to date have already received financial support. This allows them to lend their time and talent to their communities and serve animals and animal owners with compassion.
