Waste Reduction Newsletter

Volume 17, Double Issue

pRRRdy Please... On behalf of the Peace River Regional District (PRRD), the Northern Environmental Action Team (NEAT) has launched the “pRRRdy Please…” residential recycling survey. This short survey is open between July 12th and August 18th.

The survey is designed to gather information on recycling participation in the region from both rural and urban residents. This newsletter contains information to assist you in diverting these resources before they reach our regional landfills. The PRRD and the Stewards of British Columbia provide services locally to recover materials, big and small. For a list of these stewards and the materials they accept, please refer to page 3 of this publication.

In addition to the information provided in this newsletter, there are additional ways of finding where to recycle your items. Prrrdy.com provides a database called “Where Can I Recycle.” You are able to select your item and get a list of locations it can be taken to. Additionally, a green line is available to you for all of your waste reduction questions. Call 1-888-689-6328, and we will respond to your request as quickly as possible.

Residents may complete the survey from Friday July 12th through Sunday August 18th 2013. Upon completion, they may enter to win 1 of 4 $50 gift certificates to a grocery or hardware store of their choice. To fill out the survey and enter to win, go to www.neat.ca or
