Nebile Gorenoglu Gorenoglun@wit.edu (617) 602- 0613 Intern Architect April 20, 2019 Dear Hiring Manager, I am graduating in April of this year with a B.S. in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology. I found your posting on your website and I am interested in the Intern Architect position. I am very excited to submit an application for your consideration as I admire Design Distill approach to design and its application of sustainable and innovative design principles on the variety of projects types. It is my goal to be able to part of the team-based environment at Design Distill. . During my previous internship at Bloom Architecture in Boston, I held a variety of roles. I made 3D models and graphics, schematic plans, and picked up redlines on construction documents. I was responsible for preparing construction documents utilizing Revit and AutoCAD and I built 3D models and graphics utilizing SketchUp and Rhino to practice conceptual design. I worked both in renovation for exterior and interior design for residential, commercial, institutional, and retail projects. I learned how to use resources effectively, developed my understanding of project documentation requirements, and read and analyzed drawings thoroughly. I have considerable work experience with professional companies and nonprofit groups such as architectural offices, an on-site construction management group, an interior design office and community service groups in Boston, New York, and Turkey. In each of these internships, I fulfilled my responsibilities and learned how to collaborate with many kinds of teams.
These experiences taught me the important steps that I can take to put my enthusiasm, focus, and strong organizational and design skills to the best use. My enthusiasm will inform my commitment toward any responsibilities I might be assigned. I bring experience in working in a team, computer and organizational skills, and problem-solving strategies to your design team. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you about the possibility of being an Intern Architect position with Design Distill design teams, and the chance to take on new responsibilities in the pursuit of contributing to your diverse projects.
Best regards, Nebile Gorenoglu
