Prospects of Global Growth and Opportunities for South Asia

Well known economist Dr. Junaid Ahmad delivered a lecture on ‘Prospects of Global Growth and Opportunities for South Asia,’ emphasizing on ways to address challenges in front of South Asian countries for achieving growth. The program was chaired by, Mr. Niranjan Rajadhyakshya, Executive Editor, Mint and Founding Member, PIC. Analyzing 50 years of data, Dr. Ahmad found that India’s growth has been stable and continuous over the years which he cited was a good sign. For further growth, he suggested improvements in service delivery through Public-Private Partnerships, increasing participation of women in labour force and efficient management of water and other natural resources.
