Indian politician, psephologist, Mr. Yogendra Yadav spoke of how Indians have democratized the idea of democracy while delivering a lecture on ‘Defending India’s Swadharama- 2019 and Beyond.’ The programme was chaired by Dr. Suhas Palshikar, Professor of Political Science and Political Commentator.

Shri. Yogendra Yadav commenced his lecture by underlining that the topic ‘India’s Swadharma’ is not about the 5000-year-old history of India, but it comprises of the last 70 years of democracy, diversity and development which jointly helps the nation to move forward. He explained these concepts and noted that Indians have democratized the idea of democracy. He said that diversity is acceptance of radically different ways of being and development is the idea of including the last person ensuring no one is left behind.
