A Round Table Conference on Reforms in Agriculture in Maharashtra, organised by Pune International Centre (PIC) and Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE) saw participation of state-wide experts from the fields of agriculture, water management and technology. They brainstormed on ways to enhance agricultural growth in Maharashtra through institutional and policy reforms. The conference was convened by Mr. Anil Supanekar, Trustee PIC and chaired by Mr. Umesh Sarangi IAS (Retd.).

Round Table on ‘Governance and Effectiveness of NGOs – The Way Ahead’

A round table was held on the draft PIC policy paper titled ‘Governance and Effectiveness of NGOs –The Way Ahead.’ The paper gave a comprehensive overview of India’s NGO sector and a set of policy recommendations for elevating its efficiency and positive contribution to India’s development goals. It was organised by Pune International Centre (PIC) in association with TATA Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). Various academicians, NGOs, CSRs, enablers and consultation agencies took part in the discussion. The session was chaired by Mr. S. Ramadorai, Former Vice-Chairman, TCS & Member, PIC and Mr. Madhukar Kotwal, lead author of the policy paper presented the paper.
