Mktavi River, Tbilisi, Georgia Sem 5 - Luxury Heritage Hotel

Georgia is located in the mountainous South Caucasus region of Eurasia, straddling Western Asia and Eastern Europe between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. Since the aim of this project was to create a Sustainable Heritage Hotel, the obvious choice was to regard the surroundings of the site itself. Tbilisi is placed is a valley in between the mountain ranges of Georgia.

The river, Mtkvari, flows through the centre of Tbilisi. Hence, my design through the plan displays the converging of the two mountain ranges which in turn creates a valley. The river flowing through the centre is depicted by the longitudinal pool that extends to the riverfront as to provide a view of the beautiful landscape in Georgia.
