Certified Professional in Erosion & Sediment Control Review Course & Exam Information A CPESC designation establishes and expands your credibility as an ESC practitioner. It sets you apart as a certified professional who can provide expertise to design and evaluate erosion and sediment control plans, to influence public policy and land-use planning decisions and to educate others in sound approaches for preventing off-site impacts from land development activities. CPESC

 High School Diploma plus 7 years exp., Associates Degree plus 5 years experience  Bachelor of Science (B.S.), MS, PHD Degree plus 3 years experience In ESC  Degree in engineering (agricultural, civil, or environmental), geology, soil science, natural resource science or management, landscape architecture, or a related field is acceptable. CPESC-IT

 For those interested in obtaining CPESC (not yet qualified in terms of the number of years of experience)

Review: (8 PDH’s) Provides general information on the following aspects:  Site Planning and Management  Rules and Regulations  Erosion Predication  Runoff Management  Soil Stabilization (Erosion Control)  Sediment Control

Exam: (to be booked online for a later date)

 Part I: Fundamentals of ESC & Rules and Regulations (Multiple Choice)  Part II: Application of Erosion & Sediment Control Principles  CPESC: Part I & II Full Exam (5hrs)  CPESC-IT: Part 1 Exam (3hrs)  Already a CPESC-IT: Part II Exam (3hrs)  Download CPESC Application form.  Must have pre-approval to be eligible to write exam
