Be part of an exciting new pilot project about saving energy Home Energy Monitoring Pilot Project The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador will be conducting a year-long pilot project funded by the Office of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency and implemented by Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro under the takeCHARGE program. This project will evaluate the effect that the provision of real-time energy consumption information has on electricity use.
We are currently seeking 750 households in the province to participate in the study. As a participant, each household will fall into one of the three following groups: i.
250 households will be provided with a real-time electricity demand feedback device and will receive public awareness and education materials on energy conservation
ii.
250 households will be provided with a device but not the public awareness and education materials
iii.
250 households will receive only public awareness and education materials on energy conservation
