The girls are pretty, the beer is free, and there are bottles of rum growing on every tree! When owners Vince and Kelly LaMattina opened Fiddlers Green Irish Pub and Eatery the summer of 2013, they created a dream pub for the Trinity area. Vince and Kelly have several friends from Dublin and Kelly is of Irish decent, so authentic Irish food and surroundings are important to them. They knew when they opened Fiddlers Green they

wanted to create an atmosphere where patrons could not only get a great meal at a fair price, but also enjoy drinks, live music and old fashioned Irish hospitality. The starters, or appetizers, at Fiddlers Green have a fantastic Irish twist to them that make you want to eat more than just one. Sausage Rolls are traditional Irish pork sausages that are rolled in puff pastry and served with a side of mustard. Their Guinness Fries are potato fries that are topped with homemade Guinness rich gravy (oh my!) and melted mozzarella cheese. Foster Homes Needed: Be a Champion for a Kid…Be a Foster Parent Imagine being taken away from your home, not knowing where you will go, leaving behind your favorite things. Imagine this through the eyes of a child. There are more than 3,500 dependent children in Pinellas and Pasco counties in need due to child abuse, neglect or abandonment. Many need to live in a temporary foster homes, and much help is needed to meet the growing need. When you open your heart and home to foster children, you open the possibilities for them...you foster hope. What does it take? You need to be at least 21 years old, have appropriate housing and pass a background screening. You will need to complete a home study and 24 hours of special training called Professional Parenting. You must have adequate space and be able to provide for your family now—although you will receive financial assistance to help care for the child, you cannot rely on this to pay your bills. To be a foster parent, you can be single or married—

Did you know that about 500 students in 14 schools in western Pasco County receive sacks of food every Friday so that they will have enough to eat on the weekends? Donations from last year’s Hunger Walk provided grants for feeding many of these students through Pack-a-Sack. This first walk of 400 walkers made $50,000 which was split between children and Pasco’s 200 elderly that were on a waiting list for hot meals. The 2015 goal is to double that amount and split between Pasco Packa-Sack Food 4 Kids and Metropolitan Ministries' feeding program. Can I report my employees’ W-2s to Social Security electronically? Yes, and we encourage you to do just that at www.socialsecurity.gov/bso. Filing your W-2s electronically is free, fast, and secure! Plus there’s an added bonus: when you file electronically, you receive an extra month to file because electronically filed W-2s aren’t due until March 31. You’ll also receive an electronic receipt. By Julie Kanehl You don’t really need an invitation, because everyone is welcome at Hope United Methodist Church, but we thought we’d send out an official invitation just in case you didn’t know that there is a phenomenal church, filled with love, a passion for God and of course, hope, right here in Trinity! If you are looking for a church that will welcome you, walk with you on this crazy journey called life, and strengthen your faith and love for Jesus Christ, then you should come this Sunday to Hope United Methodist Church, located at 2200 Little Road, just across the street from J.W. Mitchell High School. You already know Hope United Methodist Church! You do! You’ve probably stopped by their amazing pumpkin patch during October, or maybe even taken your family to “Experience Bethlehem” at Christmastime! That’s Hope United Methodist Church

(or Hope UMC for short), and they’ve been a staple in our community for many years. Welcome to your Home Church! Pastor Kelly W. Smith, known simply as Pastor Kelly, is the much-loved leader of Hope UMC, and his goal is to glorify God and provide three major areas of ministry to his congregation. The first is in welcoming everyone who has a yearning to know Jesus Christ, and while the path isn’t always easy, that you and your family are always welcome to come to church, and to the many social and educational events that are free and available to you and your family at Hope UMC. Secondly, he wants to help people to grow in their faith, and help them to know that Jesus is by their side every step of the way. Lastly, a large focus of the ministry at Hope UMC is on serving others. Christy Murdoch, The Children’s Ministry Leader said, “Our goal is to serve people, and we want to wear out

the walls here at this church by being the hands and feet of Christ and by serving others.” Pastor Kelly says, “Hope United Methodist Church would like to travel that road with you and have you join us as we assist one another in pursuing a mature faith in Jesus Christ.” This month, you might have seen your friends post on Facebook, their pledge to participate in “31 Days of Gratitude,” where members are encouraged to share one thing each day that they are truly grateful for. A grateful heart is an open and joyful heart, and so Pastor Kelly will be talking about gratitude in the January sermons. Grow in your Faith! There’s always something going on at Hope UMC, above and beyond the services each Sunday. In fact, there’s a small group for everyone, even you! From parenting groups to women’s or couple’s studies, from devotional studies on Methodism and experiencing God, to men’s groups, youth groups

and a group just for teens. In fact, strengthening families by instilling a strong bible-based program for children is hugely important at Hope UMC, which is why they have so many great programs aimed at helping children learn their faith. Every Wednesday night there’s a great program for kids called WiNK (Wednesday Night Kids). This awesome program, which starts with a dinner at 6 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m. for children from third to fifth grade, and is filled with fun, crafts, devotionals and fellowship. Sunday nights, the youth group for youth from sixth through twelfth grades, which is called Refuge, meets from 5:30–8 p.m., for a chance to grow their faith, have some fun and renew their spirits. Middle and high school can be a very trying time, and Refuge acts as just that –– a safe place filled with friends who share a love for Jesus Christ. Their popular “Experience Bethlehem,” is a living nativity scene that takes you on a journey back in time. For just the price of your “taxes” to enter (canned food for

the homeless), Hope UMC is able to collect over two tons of food each year, all of which is been donated to local food pantries. “Experience Bethlehem” serves the community in another way as well-of course, a spiritual way, because sometimes the Bible stories can seem so distant. But when you hear the shepherd cry out and the angels appear, or see the sweet baby in the manger, it truly brings the spirit of Christmas into your heart. Reaching more than 5,000 residents each year, “Experience Bethlehem” is bound to reach more in the years to come. So if you missed it last month, put it on your calendar for this December. Not only will your heart be filled with joy, but you’ll be serving your community as well. Hope UMC also serves our local community by supporting Volunteer Way, Salvation Army, the Cold Weather Shelter, and by providing food for homeless and at-risk children in conjunction with The Joining Hands Kids’ Camp. Additionally, Hope UMC also supports international mission trips to Honduras, Costa Rica and bi-annually to their sister-church in Cuba. These mission trips allow the church and its members to provide resources for those people whose needs are far greater than their own. It’s Never Too Early to Sign Up for Vacation Bible School & Summer Camp at Hope UMC! One of the most popular programs at Hope UMC is their Vacation Bible School (VBS) and Summer Camps. This year’s VBS theme is Cokesbury’s “G-Force,” which will discuss “God’s Love in Action”! VBS begins June 22–26, from 9 a.m.–noon and promises to be a fun and fulfilling experience for children between pottytrained three-year-olds to fifth graders who are just about to jump into the magical world of middle school. This

week is jam-packed with social and educational experiences that will enrich and encourage your children’s lives, all the while strengthening their faith in Jesus and learning to glorify God. Christy says, “Our Vacation Bible School is really popular! Last year we had a line for registration that stretched from my office all the way to the front door! We had 340 kids in our VBS last year! Hope UMC’s Summer Day Camp has also been a huge hit for kids and families alike. Available for school-aged children every week for 6 weeks from June 27 – August 7, from 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m., (with additional extended hours available), Summer Camp at Hope UMC is the place for your children to make friends and learn about Jesus’ love for them. There’s also a preschool day camp that will be available from June 29 – August 7 from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. on Monday – Friday. Speaking of preschoolers, Hope United Methodist Church is home to Hope N Play, a Christian preschool program that is available to children and families of all faiths and religious denominations. Hope N Play offers a two-year-old class, a three-year-old class for potty-trained little ones, and a VPK class for the four-year-olds, which will help them be more than ready for kindergarten!
