Family Fun with Horses at Suncoast Stables Suncoast Stables, located at 1108 Altamont Lane in Odessa has a fun, family-friendly event planned for Saturday, February 20th. Stable owner Krystle Lee invites the community to come out and meet the horses. The fun begins at 5 p.m. with a barn tour, but that is just the beginning of an evening of fun and horsing around! There will also be a horseback riding demonstration, a grooming station demonstration and a chance to win a 4-pack of free riding lessons. And what better way to wrap up an evening of horseplay than a free, kid-friendly horse movie watched on a blanket under the stars? This event is free but bring some cash because there will be food and drinks for purchase, as well as face painting for the kids. Proceeds will benefit Suncoast Stables’ Youth Club and Saving Grace for Equines, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization focused on the rescue of American Saddlebred horses. Krystle grew up around horses and enjoyed competing as a juvenile and amateur in the American Saddlebred arena, so the rescue of this breed is one she is happy to help

support. The driving force and passion behind Saving Grace for Equines is Joy Rodak. Saving Grace for Equines Joy Rodak has shown American saddlebred horses for 20 years, and has headed up Saving Grace for Equines in Ocala, Florida since October 2013, when she bought six American saddlebred horses to save them from a meat broker. While it is illegal to slaughter horses for meat in the United States, they are still shipped to Canada and Mexico and processed for human consumption. Saving Grace for Equines has rescued numerous horses experiencing inhumane treatment and conditions, including starvation, abuse, unsafe habitats, and some of those are bound for slaughter for human consumption. “These are very nice horses that can still serve a purpose,” says Joy. “It’s not a lot, but we are doing our part along with the other saddlebred rescues in the country.” Many times the original seller often has no idea what can befall their horse and Joys says most of the owners are unknowing participants.

Rescued horses usually have some physical issues and are often malnourished. Saving Grace for Equines works on their nutrition for three or four months before they are ready for adoption. Saving Grace for Equines relies on donations and sponsorships to operate. Log on to savinggraceforequines.org for information. She has been very active with the American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events long before her own diagnosis of breast cancer in 2011, because her mother was a breast cancer survivor until the disease finally took her life in 1995. Since her own diagnosis and recovery, she has become the local emcee for the Susan G. Komen events. Additionally Linda supports the Face of Courage non-profit as well as the My Hope Chest that funds reconstruction for women who do not have insurance. And every year she donates proceeds from A Shoot for a Cure to the Florida Hospital Foundation to fund mammograms for women without insurance. In the U.S. in 2015 there were an estimated 231,840 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 60,290 new cases of in situ breast cancer among women resulting in 40,290 breast cancer deaths. Although breast cancer in men is rare, it does happen. In 2015, there were an estimated 2350 new cases among men in the U.S. resulting in 440 deaths.

Michigan Transplant Transforms Wedding Events at Crescent Oaks & Wentworth Golf Clubs

Alissa Klinger and her family relocated from Cheboygan, Michigan to New Port Richey this summer. With extensive experience in events and restaurant management and a real love for Wedding Planning, Alissa found a position as Events Director at Ace Golf, two family-owned golf clubs including Wentworth and Crescent Oaks Golf Clubs. Alissa’s passion for weddings has led to a surge in wedding events at the two popular East Lake area Golf Clubs. “I chose Wentworth and Crescent Oaks because of their two very different, beautiful reception venues. Also, as local, family-owned businesses, I have a lot more latitude to be creative and provide exceptional service,” says Klinger. Membership is not required to hold a wedding or event at either club, and the cost compares favorably with hotel and other venues. Wentworth offers a stately, upscale English Manor Clubhouse and Veranda. Crescent Oaks is a larger, Mediterraneanstyle banquet facility with sweeping views of the golf and a new outdoor event pavilion. Alissa helps brides plan their weddings with her calm demeanor, creativity, and attention to detail. “I was raised in a house-

Every dinner party was an exercise in planning and every holiday became an event where my mother’s creativity and desire to please others made for a spectacular gathering.” Alissa took her first Country Club Management position right out of college at an exclusive Golf Club in Northern Michigan. It was here that she started her journey in creating one-of-a-kind functions, creating lifelong memories. She later joined a resort restaurant and grew their non-existent catering business to a very busy wedding destination. Those considering a wedding or other event are invited to meet with Alissa for a tour and to exchange ideas. She is at Crescent Oaks Golf Club at 3300 Crescent Oaks Boulevard in Tarpon Springs, off East Lake Road a mile north of Tarpon (Keystone) Avenue. Alissa can be reached at 727-9374653 x31. Forget cramped, monotonous apartments that all look the same, Watermark understands and respects their residents and, in creating new neighborhoods for them, have listened to what people prefer. We’re talking about apartments that have plenty of natural light, architectural and design elements that redefine what assisted living looks like, and upgrades to impress. The grounds are going to be immaculately kept, with lobbies, sitting areas and dining areas that give off the impression of living in a resort. It will feel that way too, as residents don’t need to worry about cleaning, maintenance, grounds keeping or security. The staff also takes care of the housekeeping, laundry, linens and more. All utilities are included as well, except for phone, Internet and cable, which can be added easily and affordably. The staff at The Watermark at Trinity takes care of it all; with the goal of letting the residents simply enjoy their retirement! Have I mentioned the food yet? Because the food at The Watermark at Trinity is bound to draw people in all by itself. No more cooking, no more dishes, The Watermark at Trinity has hired Chef Joshua Marlowe to create menus that are not only healthy, but beautiful and delicious as well. They even offer room service! Speaking of service, when you become a resident at The Watermark at Trinity, you now receive access to a

trained staff that is available if you should need it, around the clock. With the staff acting as a liaison to your personal physician, you and your family can rest assured knowing that you are in good hands if the need for medical attention arises. While other assisted living centers around the globe create a rigid schedule to follow, Watermark has a totally different approach to assisted living. For example, in many places breakfast is served at a specific time and that’s it. Watermark believes that the community should adhere to your personal schedule and not the other way around. That means, if you like to enjoy your breakfast at 9:45 instead of 7:30 or vice versa, that can easily be arranged. It’s the simple things, sometimes, that make you feel at home. The Watermark at Trinity staff wants to do more than make you feel at home, they want you to relax and let them do the work. Don’t you deserve it? Offering regularly scheduled transportation, residents have access to places all over town, and The Watermark at Trinity staff is excited about all of the fantastic events that they are going to be putting on the calendar each month. Residents will have access to all kinds of exciting activities and classes. In fact, another unique program that Watermark has created is their Watermark University. Watermark University offers classes in just about anything you can imagine, from jewelry making to ballroom dancing, and from computer classes to classes where you can learn how to speak another language like Spanish or even sign language! The best part about Watermark University is that they understand that their residents have a wealth of knowledge to share, and many residents enjoy teaching classes about subjects

that they know a lot about! Jennifer Naster is the Sales Director who helps people find their new home at The Watermark at Trinity. With many years of experience working for Watermark, Jennifer said, “One of our residents at another community taught a Watermark University class on seashells. She was an expert on shells and taught everyone about how shells are used in everything from décor to medicine. It was really interesting.” She added, “People love the opportunity to share what they know!” The Watermark at Trinity Redefines Memory Care For the many people who suffer from memory loss, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, it’s truly important to provide a homelike environment that helps them feel happy, safe, secure and well provided for. The Watermark at Trinity has an entire floor dedicated to Memory Care, and programs that help each resident live happy, fulfilled lives. Have you ever heard of Nayas? The word, “Naya” is an ancient Sanskrit word that means guide or person of wisdom, and The Watermark at Trinity will have many qualified Nayas on hand to act as guides for the Memory Care residents, guiding them through praise and approval. Watermark Retirement Communities partners with the National Council of Dementia Practitioners to train their Nayas. People with dementia are often confused, and Watermark has experts on hand to make sure that you or your loved one is well taken care of at all times, focusing on what each resident can do, instead of what has become difficult to do. Just like with residents in Assisted Living, the food provided to residents in Memory Care is outstanding, nutritious and expertly prepared. Watermark has even come up with a completely unique way to provide nutritious meals to people who have a difficult time eating independently because of cognitive or neuromuscular challenges. This is their Thrive Dining Program. In fact, they’ve revolutionized the way people with cognitive or

physical disabilities eat by creating their own version of “Grind Dining™”, which basically takes a healthy, nutritious meal, ground into handheld one or two-bite appetizer portions. It’s simple, it’s easy and it’s a fantastic solution to helping those who would have a much harder time eating nutritiously otherwise. This program gives confidence to those individuals who need it most, and is unique to Watermark. Residents of Memory Care are active! That calendar is packed with fun activities that include many opportunities that are tailor-made for each person to receive some type of physical exercise. Watermark also uses music, art and dance to help people tap into their creative energy. Art is a wonderful way for people to communicate as well. Offering unique programs and amenities for the residents in Memory Care, such as a Personal Pantry Program, which allows families to supply their favorite snacks and foods, to providing outings that are typically unheard of in memory care environments, The Watermark at Trinity promises to help each resident make the very most of every day. If you or someone you love is interested in moving to a place that takes away the hassles and the chores, while providing a beautiful, safe, and exciting community to be part of, choose The Watermark at Trinity to call home. The Watermark at Trinity is being built at 1960 Blue Fox Way, Trinity, Florida 34655. The New SAT And ACT Exams Well, the old SAT Exam is now history and students start taking the new SAT Exam on Saturday, March 5th. The new ACT Exam began this past September. Both are now more difficult than before. The New SAT has five test sections: Writing and Language, Reading, Math without Calculator, Math with Calculator, and Essay. The maximum score 1600, with a maximum of 800 for the combination of Writing and Language and Reading, and 800 for the combination of the two math sections. The Essay is scored separately. Writing and Language is similar to the old exam with more critical thinking required. With my proprietary, 35 page that is a “grammar course in a nutshell”, my students normally dramatically improve their scoring in this area because most have not had grammar since the second grade guide. Reading is now only mediumlength passages with related questions. There are no formal “fill in the blanks” for vocabulary and no short

passages. But the vocabulary in the passages used is “high-level”, and the thought processes to find the right answers are more like those found in AP Language and Composition. With my special “vocabulary learning” section, my students usually double or triple the speed at which they can learn new words, and have fun doing it. Math: Most of my students to tell me that the Math without Calculator section is harder than Math with Calculator. Both sections now include solid geometry and trigonometry. The average length of a math question is six lines, with some having twelve lines (by comparison, the average number of lines in amath question on the old exam was two lines). So students must be far better at interpreting word problems and converting them into mathematical formulas and figures. My proprietary “quick solve” approach and examples help my students quickly determine the type of math question, best solution strategy, translation into a needed formula and/or figure,

and then detailed steps to get the right answer. Essay: Every student should take the “optional” Essay because most colleges require it. Rather than use the traditional “bottom up with incremental improvement” approach of most schools, I use a “top down” approach using an outstanding essay, deconstructing it with comments so a student can see the principles and details of how it is put together and why it is outstanding, and then the student applies this to another essay assignment. The result is very rapid improvement. The New ACT: Not to be outdone by the SAT, the ACT Exam also changed this year by adding a more difficult Essay that gives a statement and then three perspectives. The student must analyze the statement, develop a position, and show how that position relates to the three perspectives with detailed examples. We use the same “deconstruct, learn, and reconstruct” approach with a proprietary format I have developed as a professional writer.

More students are now focusing on the ACT Exam because it is equally acceptable to colleges as the SAT, is a known quantity for scoring and correlations to later performance, and colleges do not require additional SAT Subject Tests (usually two) when a student submits the ACT Exam results. I also tutor a “combination” course that has great savings compared to taking the ACT and SAT Prep Classes separately. More Information: Please feel free to contact me about the SAT Prep Class, ACT Prep Class, or my SAT/ACT Combination Class that saves 15 class hours from taking them separately, at 727-253-0639 or wwa0811@mykolab.com. All my students and parents receive my supplement, “Negotiating with Colleges”, that has helped many parents save $1,000 to $10,000 a year in college costs. Dr. Wayne Adams is one of the leading SAT and ACT tutors in the country. His students normally improve 150 – 250 points on the new SAT superscore, and 4 – 7 points on

People for Haiti – The Work Continues Six Years After Disaster

People for Haiti is a non-profit organization founded six years age by two local doctors January 12, 2010 marked the date that Haiti was devastated by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake, leaving 220,000 people dead and 300,000 injured with little hope for medical aid. The world watched and grieved with Haiti, and one group in Tampa Bay joined in the efforts to bring aid to Haiti. Six years later, People For Haiti (PFH), a Tampa Bay Area based

non-profit medical mission is still making a difference in Haiti. On January 12th, 2016, in honor of the earthquake anniversary, People For Haiti launched a fundraiser to help continue mission trips. The average cost of patient care is just $5 per person. PFH is asking that people visit the website (www.peopleforhaiti.com) or the People For Haiti Facebook

page to help the organization to continue to bring aid to the Haiti. Created on January 28, 2010 by two local doctors from the Tampa Bay area, PFH has completed 31 mission trips with volunteers from the medical profession, as well as ordinary citizens with the common goal to help the Haitian people. During these mission trips, the doctors and nurses volun-

teering with PFH has administered free medical care to over 33,000 Haitian citizens, and have performed hundreds of free surgeries and saved countless lives. PFH receives donated goods and medicine on a regular basis that they hand carry to Haiti. In April of this 2015, PFH treated a baby named Myson, who was in critical condition due to a congenital heart

condition. Our President of Clinic Operations, Christine Hashim, took the baby to four different hospitals in Port Au Prince. He was finally sent to have surgery in Grand Cayman. We are pleased to report that he made it through the surgery and is thriving and getting stronger every day! This year, EKO Devices donated a state of the art digital stethoscope to use on their patients. This allows doctors to virtually diagnose patients. They can take vital signs, upload them, and send them over to specialists in the United States for a consultation. A goal of People For Haiti is to set up virtual kiosks so that PFH staff can communicate with Haitian medical personnel when they are not in Haiti. This is a first step toward that goal and is a wonderful tool for them. About People For Haiti: People For Haiti is a Tampa based non-profit organization that administers free health care to the Haitian people on a regular basis. Its founders, Dr. Leo Vieira and his wife Guiga Vieira, and Dr. Robert Ferreira felt helpless when they heard the unfathomable news that January day in 2010. Despite many obstacles, the two doctors

found their way to Haiti, while Guiga initiated grassroots support from home. Their hearts were united and within them arose a dream. Today, People for Haiti travels to Haiti 4-5 times a year on medical and surgical mission trips. The organization is now led by Tammy Denbo, Christine Hashim and Dr. Lonnie Klein. Tammy Denbo is former Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleader and an attorney at law. Tammy was so inspired by her mission trips with PFH, that she went back to school to get a medical education and she recently graduated as a paramedic. Now, she feels she can be of more assistance on her trips to Haiti. She loves that former Buccaneers cheerleaders continue to join her in Haiti. Christine Hashim, a nurse anesthetist and nurse practitioner from New Port Richey, presides over all of the clinical operations for the group including providing 24-hour call access for medical problems. Lonnie Klein, MD serves as the board’s Medical Director. Lonnie is a Tampa Bay urologist who has been on several mission trips. PFH volunteers come from all walks of life. Doctors, nurses, lawyers, news reporters, housewives, students,

East Lake Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles

teachers, professional cheerleaders and more join PFH on mission trips. The volunteers pay for their own travel and board. There are no paid employees and 100% of donations to People For Haiti go towards medicine and medical supplies for mission trips. Though the earthquake happened six years ago, PFH missionaries are continually given vivid reminders of this tragedy. Its ghosts lurk in every corner, the thousands of gravestones a stark reminder. In six years time, roads have been rebuilt, buildings are slowly being resurrected, and

life continues to go on. But, there is still a long way to go, and people are still suffering immensely and unnecessarily. PFH’s hope is that the Haitian people will one day be able to offer quality healthcare to their people on their own. Until that time, the organization is going there to offer aid, teach and support in any way possible. PFH’s goal is to train and equip the people of Haiti to one day, stand on their own feet again. Until then, People For Haiti hopes to offer them strength through renewed health.

PATIENT ADVOCATE SERVICES, INC. Strives to Help Patients with Health Insurance and Medical Billing Problems Patient Advocate Services, Inc. (PASi), a 501(c)(3) non-profit located in New Port Richey, was founded by Kim Petro McCrum after experiencing many of the problems common to patients dealing with the health care systems. The nonprofit was formed to improve the experience of patients overwhelmed by illness and medical bills. The US has a very complicated medical billing system - with 68,000 different codes that are both complicated and time consuming for anyone trying to understand the complexities. Eighty percent of medical bills that are generated by medical providers contain errors, according to Medical Billing Advocates of America and 60 percent of all bankruptcies are due to medical bills, according to NerdWallet, and out of that 60 percent, 70 percent have health insurance. The US healthcare system, according to the World Health Organization, ranks 37th in quality of healthcare, but ranks in at number two for having one of the most expensive healthcare systems.

24

PASi strives to provide assistance to patients of all ages, their families and caregivers, in managing their medical bills and providing referrals to patients who need specialized advice or assistance. Even though the Affordable Care Act has attempted to address some of the deficiencies in the healthcare system, it has fallen short of correcting many of the problems that frustrate patients and continue to force others into bankruptcy. PASi Introduces Wellness Program A Mayo Clinic study showed that 70 percent of Americans take at least one prescription drug on a regular basis, while 50 percent take two or more. In addition to PASi’s primary goal of helping patients with medical billing problems and referrals, it also strives to promote good health and a healthy lifestyle. To this end, PASi recently introduced a member-based wellness program. Membership in the PASi Wellness Program entitles members to take advantage of a variety of holistic and/or alternative treatments. There

is a perfect opportunity coming up to find out more in person: PASi invites you to its Wellness Program Meet & Greet on February 24th at 6:30 p.m., which is being held at Trinity Ultimate Fitness, located at 11108 Challenger Avenue in Odessa, FL. PASi’s desire to help individuals improve their health by participating in the Wellness Program stems from the hope that by improving health, we can all rely less on the healthcare system. Working tirelessly to accomplish the goals of PASi is President Kim Petro McCrum, along with the newly elected Board, Vice-President Dayna Stiteler, Treasurer Charlene Finerty, Secretary Sandra Petro Hart, and Directors-at-Large, Chet Pietras and Renee Mays. The team at PASi strives to promote and improve the Wellness Program, along with the other services offered. Working to utilize their varied areas of expertise – including accounting, nursing, insurance and business – the PASi team helps patients understand complex and often confusing medical invoices, Explanation of Benefit forms, reimbursement forms and other docu-

ments, so that PASi can provide the best advice and referrals to help patients, families and caregivers when contacting medical providers, facilities and hospitals. PASi helps patients with problems such as billing errors, overcharging, double charges, and services billed but not provided, as well as where and how to obtain specialized services depending on individual need. Homebound Heroes: Helping Our Veterans, One Home at a Time! By Matthew Selby It’s not everyday you meet someone who has a selfless mission to help others in need with no desire to line his own pockets. We’ve all become increasingly aware of so called charities that although may do some good, do so at the expense of making their owners and operators rich in the process. Roy “Bucky” Shell isn’t built that way. He saw too many of his friends come back from serving our country overseas only to be stuck battling a neverending inner war. After careful consideration upon what Bucky wanted to do for our Veterans, he came up with an idea. He decided to start Homebound Heroes, a privately funded, non-profit organization that provides mortgage-free homes to returning War Veterans. “Homebound Heroes is something I’m very proud of,” says Bucky. “It’s only in the beginning stages, but it has a huge potential. My goal is to eventually get it to a point where we can help hundreds of Veterans; we just need to get the word out. We are

26

dedicated to providing mortgage-free homes to returning War Veterans who have served our country. A majority of our returning heroes suffer from multiple levels of PTSD and have found it very difficult to make the transition back to a civilian lifestyle. Homebound Heroes was created to help relieve the pressure as they make one of the biggest investments of their lives. By providing a house for these brave veterans we can help them adapt to their next mission of succeeding in America and turning their new house into a home.” PTSD is an overwhelmingly big

problem for a large percentage of our veterans. It’s crippling for many, leaving them a shell of their former selves. Our heroes need help! Fed up with the lack of help our servicemen and women were receiving, Bucky decided to do something about it. Bucky was especially upset with organizations who claim to be “all in for Vets” but really are just all in for their salary. This is not the case with Homebound Heroes. Homebound Heroes is committed to ensuring that over 90% of all received donations goes directly towards providing mortgage-free housing for our Veterans. Homebound Heroes is currently working on providing two local Veterans with a mortgage-free home – Michael Yancey, a Veteran of the Army

National Guard and Marine Bobby Malina. Michael Yancey Michael joined the Army National Guard in July of 2003 then went to basic training and advanced individual training. In the summer of 2005 his unit was put on alert that they were going to be deploying to Iraq. During his first tour he took on many responsibilities. From defending Abu Ghraib prison and taking control of all detainees inside the facility to PSD (personal security detail) to convoy security. After returning home just a couple days before Christmas 2006 Michael started doing his weekend drill with his unit, which he contin-

ued for the next few years. Then, in early summer 2009 he was informed that the 53rd Infantry combat brigade was going to be deploying again and needed volunteers. “I made the decision to volunteer and by early 2010 I was on a plane headed overseas again,” says Michael. “Our mission was fob security at camp Patriot Kuwait. We were in charge of convoy security for all ammunition and explosives coming from our military boats going to the ammunition holding area.” “I saw many things that have changed my perception on life,” says Michael. “I am thankful for my understanding wife and my beautiful daughter. Joining the military was one of the best decisions I have made. It gave me a new sense of confidence and pride.”

Bobby Malina Growing up in Palm Harbor, Bobby has been an athlete his entire life. All County his senior year for football, Bobby was voted on the Pinellas County All Star Team. Bobby had scholarship offers to play college football, but in March of 2003, just a few months before graduation, the United States of America declared war on Iraq. After that he didn’t feel college was a top priority anymore and the following weekend he went to the recruiting station and stood outside for a few minutes and thought, “The Marines say they’re the best of the best; let’s do this.” Bobby went to boot camp in October 2003 and was meritoriously promoted to PFC (private first class; E-2, the rank above private) for superior work before graduation in January 2004. In his military career, Bobby

deployed three times and has been on 200+ convoys, 200+ security patrols (mounted/dismounted), and has escorted EODs to many weapon caches. On his 2nd tour to Iraq his vehicle was blown up by IED’s twice on Oct. 8, 2005 and Oct. 17, 2005. Bobby is very lucky to be alive. After returning home his 3rd time Bobby got out of the Marines. In that time the VA diagnosed him with PTSD and TBI (traumatic Brain Injury) from the explosions. “I didn’t think I needed to seek help until after a blackout where my brother told me I was going house to house in my neighborhood trying to clear them, calling for air strikes, and talking to people that weren’t there,” says Bobby. “Luckily I have a very understanding wife who tries to understand what I have been through. We just take it one day at a time and try not to dwell on the things that don’t go our way. I’m just happy I’m still alive and have the chance to see my son grow up.”

“Pets “N” More” Continued from page 1 holistic dog food in Pinellas County, and we’ve taken extra steps to hire people who are knowledgeable about our many different animals.” Together with their sons, Ryan and Eric, the Murphy family is excited to open a local business. Already a part of the community, Pets “N” More sponsors East Lake and Oldsmar Little League teams, as well as supporting the local high school football teams, including Countryside and East Lake. Steve says, “We are involved in our community, and want to be your neighborhood pet store.” Pets “N” More Knows More About Pets! Taking more than a year to turn their dream into a reality, Steve and Raine took every effort to make into a fun and safe environment for their animals and their customers. They even went the extra mile, using their experience in the field of air conditioning, to completely update their air conditioning system by putting in new units as well as a special air filtration system to reduce odors and bacteria

in the air. It’s clear that they really took every effort to make sure that the air in the store would be comfortable, clean and safe for all of the animals and their families. Customer Debby Ordes said, “Very nice store! Friendly staff, helpful and fun to see all the different animals …priced fairly and in clean safe environments. Cool to take the kids there!” Their aquatic section is truly a delight, with a custom waterfall to house their aquatic plants, and another that is home to the entertaining archer fish. People come in to wander around and look at the many varieties of fish, from beta fish to glow fish and the many kinds in between. Steve explains, “When it came to protecting the fish, we created custom, individual tank systems to insure the safety of the fish. While most stores have 1 or 2 tank systems, we have 10 tank systems with 110 tanks!” There are more than a few feathered friends at Pets “N” More, in fact, for many people, the store provides a rare opportunity to get up close and personal to some really exotic birds! At the time this article was written, they had a lesser bare-eyed cockatoo

that was really beautiful. Raine said, “Our lesser bare-eyed cockatoo is such a sweetheart. One of the sweetest, and most loving birds I've ever handled.” They also had a yellow-naped Amazon parrot, cockatiels and more. Another customer, Ryan Moore, said, “First visit was so good that I’m back again. Great product selection, good prices, and amazing customer service! Definitely beats the big box stores in every way possible.” In addition to birds and fish, Pets “N” More also has a variety of other pets to choose, from bunnies to hamsters, turtles to ferrets, dogs to cats! We’re talking iguanas, snakes, chameleons, geckos, pigs, hamsters, and adding more variety all the time. No matter your pet preference, you can meet all their needs at Pets “N” More!
