FOSTER HOMES NEEDED: Be a Champion for a Kid! There are more than 3,500 dependent children in Pinellas and Pasco counties in need due to child abuse, neglect or abandonment. Many will need to live in a temporary foster home, and much help is needed to meet the growing need. When you open your heart and home to foster children, you open possibilities for them...you foster hope. To be a foster parent, you need to be at least 21, have appropriate housing and pass a background screening. You can be single or married, have a family or be an empty-nester. You’ll need to complete a home study and 24 hours of special training called Professional Parenting. You must have adequate space and be able to provide for your family now; although you will receive financial assistance to help care for the child, you cannot rely on this to pay your bills. For information on foster parenting, please call the Eckerd Recruitment Line at 1-866-233-0790.

Looking for a Realtor Who Gets Results? Choose Denise Denver! By Julie Kanehl A good Realtor is one who is on the case 24/7, knows the market, knows when the newest listings go live, and excels at navigating the gray areas that make real estate the complex and ever-changing business that it is. Denise Denver is a Realtor with RE/MAX Marketing Specialists, and has been working in our local area for almost 10 years. Denise is a fantastic communicator and excels at knowing the local market and providing excellent customer service to her clients. Denise says, “My job is a 24hour-a-day lifestyle, and being a Realtor you’re like a life line to people who are in transition.” It’s true, when you’re looking to sell or buy a home, it can be a trying time, but the good news is that the market is picking up tremendously. In fact, now is an excellent time to sell your home, as it is considered a seller’s market! Basically, that means that there are more buyers looking for homes in our area than there are houses to be sold! With the market

this strong, it means that when someone decides to sell, there may be multiple families interested in the property – keeping the asking price higher than it would be in a buyer’s market. This is a Great Time To Sell! Denise says, “Trinity and New Port Richey areas are very hot, and this is a great time to put your house on the market!” She adds, “Right now there aren’t a lot of properties on the market for buyers, so I have buyers who are actually waiting for people to put their houses on the market!” That means, when priced right, your house could sell very quickly! This is an exciting time if you’re looking to sell, and that’s why it’s important to partner with a professional, experienced Realtor like Denise Denver. She can guide you through the biggest question of all, which is choosing the right price. Pricing your house right from the get-go is the most important thing you can do as a seller. Denise can pull the “comps” and compare your home’s value to other homes that have sold recently, taking

into consideration your unique property and the special things that you may have that others don’t. For example, if your home has a pool, it may be worth more. Or if you have recently replaced your roof, your air conditioner or your appliances, those things may stand out to a buyer and give your home the advantage. Denise will take the time to sit with you and evaluate your home’s individual value and help to translate that value by listing it on MLS, the real estate online system that all realtors pull from. Additionally, once a buyer is interested, Denise can help to make sure that they are a financially qualified RE/MAX Realtor Denise Denver buyer, and protect your assets by helping the process to go smoothly, from choosing a price Denise Can Help You Find the and listing the property, to signing the Right Home! closing paperwork. there are a lot of options. Trinity and the surrounding North Pinellas and Southwestern Pasco area is a fantastic place to live, with a growing economy and great schools. With neighborhoods built to suit nearly every budget, it’s no wonder why people are moving here. With parks, restaurants and a new mall being built nearby, this area has it all! As a buyer, though, it can be a bit confusing trying to decipher which neighborhood and which house is best for your family. Denise knows the area well, and is familiar with the individual neighborhoods around town, which can help you narrow down your preferences and give you an edge when making an offer. Additionally, Denise can guide you through the process of making an offer by, once again, comparing the house that you’re interested in to
others in the same area that have sold recently. Her goal as your buying agent is to help you get the house you want for the price that you want. Her expertise in this field is really helpful and can save you money, time and stress in the process, and frankly, that’s priceless. If you’re looking for a Realtor who will be by your side every step of the way, whether you’re selling your home, buying a new one in the area, or both, give Denise Denver a call! Denise Denver is a Real Estate Agent at RE/MAX Marketing Specialists, located at 7801 Mitchell Boulevard in Trinity. Denise can be reached directly at 727-452-8608, and meetings can be made by appointment.

Kids R Kids Academy of Trinity Opening in April By Dara Tucker Trinity will soon be the next home to the national franchise, Kids R Kids Academy. Anitha Thomas is the owner of Kids R Kids Academy in Wesley Chapel and is excited to open Trinity’s brand new state-of-the-art facility. Anitha says that she looked for two years to find the perfect property in Trinity that would allow students to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The 17,000-square-foot facility sits on two acres of property at 11081 Trinity Boulevard in Trinity. From infants as young as six weeks old to school-aged children who need before and after school care and summer camps, Kids R Kids of Trinity has a program to fit your family’s childcare needs. Owner Anitha Thomas comes from a family of educators, and taught Engineering Physics at the collegiate level before she opened Kids R Kids in Wesley Chapel ten years ago. When you first come to Kids R Kids you’ll notice Anitha takes safety seriously. Each parent is supplied with a small fob that allows him or her secure ac-

cess to the building, similar to a keyless hotel card. After a fob is used to enter the building the parent uses a touch screen at the counter to sign their child in and out of Kids R Kids. There is always a director at the front desk, and there also is a security camera in the lobby. The glass walls in the preschool allow the classrooms to be visible to each other and help the children transition to their next developmentally appropriate learning area easier. Each classroom has two cameras that online stream through a secure website that parents can sign up on to view their child during the day. The school is designed to hold 290 children and Anitha keeps each age group at a lower teacher/student ratio than the state requires, which allows for better teacher interaction with the children. Each class has one lead teacher (who has a CDA, A.A. degree, or bachelors degree, and five or more years experience) and one or more assistants (who have completed DCF training and have a minimum of one year childcare experience). The Trinity location will have at least thirty-six

and Kids R Kids Academy, where they too can enjoy the new facility. Anitha’s love of technology and the natural setting of the Trinity location can be seen in the design of the new preschool with the unique STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) lab, media center and outdoor nature area. The STEAM lab will be run by a full-time, qualified teacher who will provide children an opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, arts and math outside of their classroom setting. The media center will focus on technology; allowing students to
have interactive learning opportunities such as creating videos the staff will share with parents. The outdoor nature area includes an outdoor classroom, a garden area for seasonal plants, garden boxes and raised water and sand areas. In addition to the outdoor nature area, there is a fully shaded play area for infants, two- and three-year-olds, three- and four-yearolds, and a play area for children four and older. Having different play areas for different ages ensures children are playing on age-appropriate, safe equipment. Daily children visit both the outdoor nature area and the play area,

allowing them to really enjoy the natural beauty of Trinity’s Kids R Kids’ location. The outdoor water park area will be completed by summer, and is sure to be a favorite spot for the kids! Another unique aspect of Kids R Kids Academy is the full size cafeteria that holds nearly fifty students at a time. They have a full sized kitchen that is run by a certified chef who creates well-balanced, nutritional meals for the children. A hot breakfast, hot lunch and snack are all included in the price of your child’s tuition. This is a great convenience for parents, and helps make the transition to an ele-
mentary cafeteria easier for children. Anitha says that communication is an important aspect of Kids R Kids Academy. “Teachers assess students and the results are provided to parents. In the fall the reports will be available on line, so if parents are too busy at pick up or drop off to communicate with teachers about their child’s growth they can look on line when it’s convenient for them. There are eight to nine different aspects, or categories, on the report, depending on the child’s age.” With a successful Kids R Kids Academy branch in Wesley Chapel, Anitha is excited to be offering Trinity a state-of-the-art facility for the families in the area. The location allows students to have authentic learning experiences both inside and outside with a nurturing staff. If you’re interested in registering your child for Kids R Kids Academy at 11081 Trinity Blvd. in New Port Richey, including before and after school care and summer camp, contact Anitha Thomas at 727-376-5437. It really isn’t funny though, when one finds that walking is difficult or even impossible, either due to aging or following an injury. Whether you need a quality scooter to rent for a few weeks while you recover, for a few days for a visiting family member, or you want to purchase a quality scooter or power wheelchair that fits your body and your needs, you are sure to find the best selection and the best pricing at Top Mobility Scooters, Inc. in Hudson.

Why Do Strong Students Not Score Well on the SAT and ACT Tests? “I just don’t understand it. My student has an excellent GPA and good class standing, yet cannot score nearly what I expected on the PSAT, SAT, or ACT. Dr. Adams, can you help us?” This time of year, I receive many phone calls like this from parents of juniors after they have received the next round of score reports. And it is always a question when parents receive test score results which are a surprise. My answer is always, “Yes,” which translates into my normally improving the student’s SAT superscore by 200 – 350 points, or their ACT composite by 4 – 7 points. Why is there this inconsistency between a student’s capabilities and scoring? During the past five years, I have found three key reasons that students do not achieve their best scores on these exams. First, they are not properly prepared – most often just reading a book or going through a prep course by a part-time teacher who
normally uses “outdated” tutoring methods and materials. Second, as important, the students have not been properly prepared mentally for the exam including the underlying motivation to do their best – which often leads to “high test anxiety” and the inability to think at their best during the exam. Third, regular high school classes do not prepare students to write the type of essays needed, to handle the needed grammar, to read quickly – usually around 200 words a minute, and to know and to use the needed math skills which are quite different from what is taught. What are some recent examples of your students in this category? This past exam cycle, I had two students who fit into this category. Student #1 had a 3.4 GPA at a good public high school and a superscore on the PSAT Exam of 142. After completing my SAT Prep Class, he scored a 1650 on a full SAT Exam. Student #2 had a 4.3 GPA with an academic ranking of #2 in an IB
program at a private school. She had a superscore of 145 (1450 adjusted) on her PSAT, and the same range for her very recent SAT Exam. After completing my SAT Prep Class, she scored over 2000 on her SAT. What makes the difference? The keys for these improvements were building confidence, learning new ways to find correct answers, following my detailed essay guide, learning my revolutionary way to score in math through “Quick Solve,” and a balance between skill-development, concentrated practice, and not making “silly mistakes.” It is very gratifying to see everything “click” for a student with their finally being able to “score their best.” I think part of achieving these results year after year is the definition of “success” that every student learns in my class. Success on the SAT or the ACT is defined as, “When a student walks out of the exam, that student says, ‘I have done my best given my priorities and my time available to prepare.”
Another important part is being able to quickly recognize where the student is with their academic foundation and test-taking abilities. All of my students are special in their own ways. A great part of my role is to quickly understand a student’s personality, preparation level, and how that student can best proceed. This usually takes about twenty minutes in our first tutoring class because I have seen so many combinations during the past five years of tutoring and can spot the key characteristics very quickly. When should these needs be addressed? Many parents want tutoring during the school year, which works well although most students are very limited in the time they have to study outside of our classes. Others prefer tutoring over the summer, where students can really focus on building their knowledge or skills – although this type of student also needs to review prior to taking the exam(s) in the fall. For summer students, I do have an optional “two class final review” to refresh their memories and test-taking skills if needed.

Largest Ice & Sports Complex in the Southeastern US Breaks Ground in Wesley Chapel and Announces Florida Hospital As Major Partner Florida’s largest ice rink facility and sports complex officially broke ground off Interstate 75 at the State Road 56 interchange in Wesley Chapel on February 24. The 150,000-square-foot sports facility will include four full-sized rinks, including one Olympic-sized hockey rink. In addition to the four ice pads, including a removable pad that can double as a multi-purpose floor for basketball and even graduations, the $20-million dollar facility will also be home to a sports-themed family restaurant. Developer Gordie Zimmermann of ZMitch, LLC who unveiled the plan last year for Pasco’s Tourist Development Council, says the facility will open its doors to the community this year. He also says, once completed this fall, it will be the largest ice sports facility in the southeastern USA. “The development of hockey and ice sports has leaped to the next level in Florida. In addition to the success of the Tampa Bay Lightning,

our partners at Z Mitch saw an opportunity to help fill a void. Limited ice availability throughout the region has stalled future growth and now we have an opportunity to provide a world class program where our youth can develop to the highest levels without leaving the state to fulfill their dreams,” said Zimmermann, Managing Partner Z Mitch LLC. Zimmermann, who used to be the General Manager of the Brandon ice facility, is excited to announce Florida Hospital is a partner in the ice and sports complex. Florida Hospital will be a major sponsor of the facility and will provide educational programs on sports performance and injury prevention. In addition, Florida Hospital will provide athletic training, sports performance programs in the facility and much more. “Florida Hospital is committed to supporting our community in Wesley Chapel and throughout Tampa Bay. The ice and sports complex is a natural fit for us because of

our dedication to wellness and our sports medicine and athletic performance programs,” said Denyse BalesChubb, President and CEO of Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel. Florida Hospital is also the presenting sponsor of the 2014-2015 and 2015-16 Tampa Bay Lightning seasons, as well as the team’s official

health and wellness partner and the official health care provider of the Tampa Bay Storm. The two organizations will work together on creating new programs to be hosted at the new facility, which will have a huge impact on the growth of youth and adult hockey. “As an organization, the Tampa

Bay Lightning is committed to growing awareness of, and participation in, our great sport at every level,” said Jay Feaster, Executive Director of Community Hockey Development. “Having another facility with multiple sheets of ice in our market will enable more people to play hockey, and will allow us to increase on-ice programming through our Lightning Made brand. We look forward to working with the ice complex in growing the game of hockey across the Tampa Bay region.” The two-story complex will not only feature hockey and figure skating, but will also host curling and other winter sports. One of the rinks would be located in the 20,000square-foot multi-purpose space that could be converted for indoor sports, such as tennis, basketball, volleyball and arena football. It could also host large corporate meetings and even high school graduations. The facility expects to host more than 1.5 million people per year, with an estimated 40% of those coming from outside the Tampa Bay area. Developers expect the ice complex to bring more than 50 jobs to the area. The facility is also expected to drive busi-
ness, especially for nearby hotels, hosting regional and national tournaments. For more information about the ice and sports complex and upcoming events, please visit: www.WesleyChapelIceCenter.com. Trinity New Life Church Supports Tim Tebow Foundation’s “Night to Shine” Prom
It was their night to shine and that they did. On February 13th 2015 Trinity New Life Church in Odessa was a part of the Tim Tebow Foundation’s “Night to Shine” prom event in celebration of the foundation’s fifth year anniversary. The “Night to Shine” prom was celebrated by more than 7,000 guests with special needs, at locations throughout 26

states and three countries. Guests were treated to a magical night of dinner, dancing, and friendships. Locally, Trinity New Life Church in Odessa hosted the event and with help from more than 100 volunteers, the 85 guests arrived to cheering paparazzi as they walked the red carpet. Once inside, each guest was greeted by their own personal buddy, and was

given flowers, a crown or tiara, a limo ride, professional photos and a photo booth. Even before the event many guests took advantage of the free professional hair and makeup services offered. Then, they danced the night away! Laughter and smiles became contagious immediately. In addition to the many volunteers, many businesses throughout the

Trinity area also donated their services. Christo’s Family Restaurant, DG Photography, Make-up by Kristy Lynn, The Hair Lounge, Olympus Limo, and Sugardarlings all eagerly jumped on board to make this event a night to remember. A dog therapy group called “Canines for Christ” also made a special appearance. Pastor Clayton Bell wholeheart-

edly embraced the opportunity to host the “Night to Shine” at Trinity New Life Church. “We don’t want to be just located in a community, we want to be a part of that community,” explained Bell. “Here in Pasco County, we have a huge population of those with special needs and we don’t want to ignore what’s going on in our own community. We want to dive in to be a blessing and bring life, encouragement, and faith to them as well.” Event coordinator Kala Hamilton, says, “It wasn’t just an act of love from the community, it was a blessing for the community. We brought in
120 volunteers and many of these people didn’t realize how amazing and inspiring the special needs community is. Many are just now being touched by how special this population can be and now it’s just going to spread like wildfire.” One volunteer stated, “If it truly takes a village to raise a child, then maybe it also takes a village to throw a prom worthy of such special guests. Not only did they shine, their overwhelming appreciation and joy was so contagious that I knew I was experiencing something special. It is something I will never forget.”

Paw Print Hearts is a Beacon of Hope for Local Dogs and Cats By Marcy Sanford Since May 2014, Paw Print Hearts has saved more than 300 dogs and 80 cats from being euthanized. Gigi Gauthier founded Paw Print Hearts after volunteering at the Hillsborough County Animal Shelter (HCAS), now the Pet Resource Center. She says, “While I was volunteering at HCAS, I saw many young and healthy animals being killed because there was no space left for them. After some research, I realized that there were some states where the animal shelters had space and had people who wanted to adopt dogs and cats.” Now Gigi receives phone calls from shelter volunteers when there is a dog or cat that is scheduled to be euthanized. After the call, she and the rest of the Paw Print Hearts’ volunteers spring into action to help save the animal. Gigi says that they have sent dogs and cats to Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Connecticut, but have found a shelter in Pennsylvania that truly is a life savior for Florida’s orphaned dogs and cats. “The director at the shelter is originally from Lakeland, Florida, and

Since founding PawPrint Hearts Animal Rescue in May 2014, Gigi Gauthier has helped save the lives of over 300 dogs and 80 cats from being euthanized. By finding them new loving homes, these dogs are given a second chance at life and the opportunity to find a forever home! he is able to find homes for all the pets we send him,” says Gigi. “The challenge is getting the animals there.” Gigi says that Paw Print Hearts relies on volunteers to make the 32-hour round trip to Pennsylvania with a load full of furry cargo.

Gigi adds, “About 2 or 3 times a month, we rent a van and one of our volunteers will drive the dogs and cats to Pennsylvania. We can usually get 25 dogs in one van with 2 cats sitting up front with the driver.” In addition to transporting lucky

rescues to a new life up north, Paw Print Hearts also finds home for dogs and cats locally and helps to rehabilitate dogs or cats that the shelter has deemed unadoptable. Gigi says, “We are not going to turn an animal away because the shelter says they have health or be-

havioral issues. Most health issues are easily fixed and we have wonderful veterinarians who help us out. Many times behavior issues are due to the fact that the animal has been taken away from the only home it has ever know and stuck in a crate. They are scared and not sure what is happening to them. Usually, with a little work, their true, loving personality comes out.” Paw Print Hearts counts on its volunteers to foster the animals, or in some cases boards them at local facilities. Gigi estimates that it costs approximately $200 per dog to rescue them from death but she thinks each one is worth it. “We want to be able to help as many dogs as possible and it has been wonderful that the donations we’ve received to date have
helped us rescue as many as we have,” says Gigi. “Any donation helps and every dollar of the donation goes to helping the animals.” She adds, “My mission is to rescue. My dream is that someday I won’t have to.” Donations can be made to their PayPal account: pawprinthearts@gmail.com. Checks can be made to Paw Print Hearts, 13046 Race Track Rd. Ste 145, Tampa, Fl 33626. For more information about Paw Print Hearts, to make a donation, volunteer, or rescue a dog or cat, visit their Facebook page www.Facebook.com/PawPrintHearts.

“Presbyterian Church” Continued from page 1 than the “church by the soccer fields.” It’s a hub of activity for families and friends. From programs for the littlest ones, to groups for retirees – for example the Godly Old Men breakfast and devotions group – there’s something for everyone. The people who attend TPCoSS come from all backgrounds, ages and demographics. One thing’s for sure, they really have a lot of fun learning about God, making friends, and giving back to their community. Pastor Philip Hollins has been at TPCoSS since 2006, and his friendly, approachable demeanor puts everyone at ease. His way with words and his dedication to his church have helped TPCoSS to become a growing familybased church. Together with the many valued employees and volunteers at their church, they put together an amazing year-round calendar of funfilled activities for members. David Henderson said, “This is a great church with a truly wonderful pastor. He is very friendly and outgoing.”

What Are You Doing This Sunday? Come to Worship at TPCoSS! If you’re looking for a traditional, family-based church where you will feel at home, come to TPCoSS! Offering two services every Sunday, Trinity Presbyterian Church of Seven Springs aims to meet you wherever you are in your journey. Their 8:30 a.m. service is lovingly referred to as The Gathering, and that’s a great name to exemplify what it is! It’s an intimate, smaller gathering of people who enjoy an hour of worship, sharing and thanksgiving. Here people offer up prayers for the people they love, gather to thank God for their blessings, and receive Holy Communion each week. At The Gathering, worshipers leave refreshed, hopeful and ready to take on the week ahead. The 10 a.m. Family Service takes a more traditional approach and often features their two choirs, the Chancel Choir (vocal) and the Trinity Ringers (handbells). Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month at this service. Traditional, comforting and inspiring, the Family Service is really ideal for everyone. If your idea of church is hymns and warmth, comfort and joy, while learn-

ing about Christ, then you’ll love coming to church at TPCoSS! Children are especially doted on at TPCoSS; in fact, the children are even given an activity bag when they come into the Family Service. This is a great time for them to worship with their families, say the Lord’s Prayer and begin a lifetime of closeness with God. Then, after about fifteen minutes and a special sermon aimed at their level of understanding, the children are released to go participate in Children’s Worship. There, they have fun with other children their age and learn

about the topic of the week. After the Family Service, children are invited to Sunday School, where they learn together and play! Sunday afternoon at TPCoSS is filled to the brim with family programming. From 4-6 p.m. kids of all ages gather to worship, serve others in the community and ultimately play! This Easter, All Are Welcome at the Trinity Presbyterian Church of Seven Springs! This year Holy Week will be filled with activities for the entire family,
Trinity Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles
beginning with an Easter Celebration that’s open to the entire community on Sunday, March 29th from 2–4 p.m. There will be food, games, and fun for everyone; and the best part is it’s completely free! Throughout the rest of Holy Week, there will be many opportunities for prayer and fellowship, culminating with three Easter services being offered on Easter Sunday. The first, a sunrise service, will be offered outside under the portico for those early risers, followed by their regular 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. services. Pastor Philip says, “Our Easter Celebration is a lot of fun and is open to the community. There will be Easter-egg hunts and we will tell the Easter story to the children.” Gathering & Serving Others at Church, In the Community, and Even Globally Trinity Presbyterian Church of Seven Springs has a huge heart for giving. Whether it’s serving those in need at their church, or crossing barriers and reaching out to those who need it in our community and beyond, TPCoSS is a wonderful place to begin if you’re looking for a way
to get involved and make a difference. If you’d like to participate in their Prayer Shawl Ministry or get involved with their summer mission to the Beth-El Farm Workers Mission (just south of Tampa, in Wimauma, Florida), there are many ways to help the children and families of the migrant farm workers there! From volunteering at the church by giving your time, or by donating to wonderful causes, there are plenty of ways to be the good in the world. There are too many groups to mention, but many people choose to meet at Trinity Presbyterian Church of Seven Springs. For example, on Thursday mornings, women of all ages meet up for “Java & Jesus,” while younger men like to meet up before work at 6 a.m. for “ManUp!” There also are bible studies during the week and activity groups like “Trinity Travelers” for adults who want to go out for day trips and
Trinity Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles
simply have a good time. There are groups for young parents, and there are groups for retirees! I bet there’s a group of friends waiting for you too! Come and Play! From Sunday School to Vacation Bible School, This is the Place for Kids! With Easter here, it’s a great reminder that summer vacation is right around the corner! This is a fantastic time to register your children for the vacation bible school at TPCoSS! This summer, the entire campus will be completely transformed to reflect the mountain-climbing theme called “Everest.” This program will focus on helping children conquer challenges with God’s mighty power. Each day will include music games,
bible stories and snacks. What makes this program unique is that it will be offered in the evenings from 6-8:30 p.m.! Whatever it is you’re looking for in a church, you’re sure to find it at TPCoSS. Whether you’re a young family, or your children have families of their own, all are welcome at Trinity Presbyterian of Seven Springs. Trinity Presbyterian Church of Seven Springs is located at 8928 Cypress Lakes Blvd. in New Port Richey. Worship Services are at 8:30 and 10 a.m. For more information, please call 727-372-7203, or visit www.tpcoss.org online. “Like” TPCoSS on Facebook for church news and events.

He’s been trained and certified in the safe and effective use of I.V. Sedation for dental procedures, and he also is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Best of all, Dr. Monticciolo invested in additional monitoring equipment for his sedation patients called Capnography, and to be sure that the Florida weather would not cause any power outages during important procedures, he’s added a 70 KW commercial generator to the New

Port Richey location. That means you’re safe to relax, breathe easy and smile! “Happy Is Back!” I’m sure you’ve seen the signs all around Tampa Bay that exclaim that “Happy is Back!” That’s because Dr. Monticciolo recently opened up his brand new office in New Port Richey, located at 5139 Little Road, across the street from Starbucks and McDonald’s. For years, Dr. Monticciolo had a busy practice nearby, and at one point he sold that practice, and opened up a new one in Tampa at 8327 W. Hillsborough Avenue. Once he got that one up and running he knew that he wanted to return to New Port Richey, and to the many patients here who missed him. His new office is a 6,500-squarefoot facility that includes 17 private dental suites; an on-site denture and partial lab; a full porcelain lab; a preop sedation room; state-of-the-art equipment in dentistry including lasers for implants and gum procedures; entertainment options galore for patients including personal televisions, DVD capability and wireless blue-tooth headphones. There is even a sedation

Patients at Monticciolo Family & Sedation Dentistry receive top-notch dental care from an exceptional team Dentistry that stands out and keeps patients coming back time and time again. Patient Angela Hutcheson-Smith exclaimed, “[He’s the] best dentist ever. I have followed Dr. Monticciolo to his new offices for the past 10+ years, even though he is an hour’s drive from my home!” More than a Fancy Slogan, Dr. Monticciolo is an Award Winning Dentist with Heart While many people have heard of the name Monticciolo, seen the fancy marketing campaigns and even heard
his name praised by friends and family, what most people don’t know about Dr. Monticciolo is that he’s a downto-earth family man who has an almost-unbelievable drive to learn more, and do more, for his patients and for his community. A graduate of the University Of Detroit’s School Of Dentistry, Dr. Monticciolo began earning accolades very early and was selected to the Honors Clinical Program right out of school. Some of his accomplishments and awards earned in dental school include: Dental Class President, earning the Francis B. Vedder Society Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics

Award, Alpha Sigma Nu from the National Jesuit Honor Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon from the National Dental Honor Society. As if that weren’t enough, Dr. Monticciolo earned his Law Degree in 2013, all while practicing dentistry full time and volunteering additional time in the dental field. His passion extends far beyond the realm of education and into the communities where he lives and works. Seeing so many people from all walks of life that could not afford the dental care they needed prompted him to begin a charity called Dentistry from the Heart in 2001. Beginning as a Valentine’s Day gift to the community, he offered free dental care one February day to hundreds of people who lined up outside the door. Since then, this charity has become a worldwide phenomenon that has stretched to include more than 250 events in all 50 states, as well as other countries around the world. Last month, hundreds of people lined up once again outside his practice and received free dental care through this life-changing charity. In 2012, Dr. Monticciolo started “Dental Care Delivered,” a mobile dental service that provides care to residents of long-term assisted living facilities and nursing homes along the west coast of Florida. Many of these patients desperately need dental care and would suffer greatly without it. Dr. Monticciolo and his team of associates and volunteers have really made a difference to the people in our com-

One patient recently wrote this compliment on Monticciolo Family and Sedation Dentistry’s facebook page: “May everyone involved in the free dentistry services for the last 14 years be repaid tenfold for their consideration to humanity.” Dr. Monticciolo’s latest adventure involves putting his passion for helping others onto paper. He recently wrote a chapter in a book on the power of giving back that’s sure to be a bestseller.
