You Deserve to See the World Through NEWsom EYES! By Alexis Selby Arguably one of the most significant of the five senses, vision is often something we take for granted, that is, until our eyes no longer work the way they used to. ception. At first, impairment in vision might not seem so noticeable, but as time progresses slowly your vision deteriorates until one day you find yourself waking up and when you open your eyes it’s as if you are underwater; everything is blurry and you can barely see your own reflection. As a leading professional in the field of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Redmon is a graduate of the USF Medical School, and also did his general surgery residency there. He continued his training at Ohio State University where he completed his Plastic Surgery Residency and joined the faculty. Coming back to Florida in 1984, he has been in practice 31 years and has seen over 30,000 patients. This is remarkable; especially considering the quality of service each patient is given on an individual basis. Taking an "old-school" ap-

proach, Dr. Redmon's patient-centered focus means that you will never be rushed into making a decision. "We don't have quotas," says Dr. Redmon's wife Kathy. From the initial consultation to the post operative follow up, Dr. Redmon and his staff go above and beyond to ensure each patient receives the individualized attention they deserve! Dr. Redmon's honesty is another quality that is greatly appreciated by his patients. It is a significant reason why many of his referrals come from past patients who are thrilled with their experience and more than happy See “Dr. Redmon” on page 28.

Fifty Shades of White Fashioned after the wildly successful Le Diner En Blanc, the Temple Terrace Arts Council presents an elegant evening under the stars at the breathtakingly beautiful Woodmont Park, 415 Woodmont Avenue, Temple Terrace, April 18, from 7-11 p.m. Art en Blanc, the third annual evolution of the French picnic invented by Francois Pasquier in 1988,

will be a potpourri of all things artistic and enchanting. Guests are required to adorn themselves in shades of white from brilliant to ecru, in casual or costume style, from head to toe. Unusual awards for attire and table art encourage attendees to tap into their creative genius or collaborate with friends to deliver an unforgettable night of visual delights.

True to the original En Blanc notion, guests dine on picnic fare of their own design using their personal collection of utensils, dinnerware, and vessels. The Arts Council provides chairs, tables, linens (yes, they are white!), and entertainment. Guests who do not wish to spend their precious time in the kitchen may choose from three delicious menu selections that give a wink and a nod to our French cousins in Louisiana, by contacting the Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club. Entertainment for the evening includes the Dennis Pupello Jazz Ensemble, Terry Klaaren (whose en plain air painting will be presented for purchase), a wine auction, controlled paparazzi, dancing in the moonlight, and a few secret surprises. Tables of 8=$275, Individuals=$35. The proceeds from this fundraising event are directed to the mission of the Temple Terrace Arts Council, a 501 (c) 3, not for profit organization. Budget Blinds of Greater Tampa – Satisfying All Your Window Covering Needs By Pam Sica What a pleasure it was to meet Elaine and Jim Trotter, owners of the Budget Blinds franchise conveniently located at 1208 W. Fletcher Avenue between Rome Avenue and North Boulevard. Their showroom is easy to spot, as they are set just behind newlyopened Marco’s Pizza, which recently

8

APRIL 2015

leased their building on the street side of Trotter Terrace. Elaine explained that in 2008, their Budget Blinds showroom was originally situated in Land O’ Lakes, where the two of them started to live their dream of escaping corporate America by owning their own business and giving back to the community. After a few years of honing their craft, they developed a thriving business and finally outgrew their facilities. Having found the North Tampa location to be much more capable of serving their growing clientele within Pasco County, Springhill and Brooksville et al and a large part of Hillsborough County, they moved to their

new location on W. Fletcher Avenue in 2012. What a boon for our area, as they have expanded from three to fourteen employees since then! And now, I understand, they are in the process of opening a second location in the Riverview area within the next few months to optimize their presence in the southern portions of Hillsborough County as well. By the way, there’s still 3500 square feet available in the center of the Trotter Terrace complex should you want to pursue your own entrepreneurial dreams and are looking to start a small business in the area! Talk to Jim and Elaine– they are pros! There are four consultants on staff who can help you to envision the possibilities for your home. First, they can address your specific needs in the well-appointed showroom and/or secondly, they are poised to assess your space on site, taking into account the following criteria: Fashion and style, Heat, Solar, Privacy and Glare control. Elaine quickly noted, “We have a solu-

Jim & Elaine Trotter tion for every window and a style for every budget, as well.” Once a novelty, it seems that motorization has become a lifestyle here in Florida, ergo, programmable window coverings are also available to address any proximity or security issues that you may have. So if you have a window treatment dilemma, you will certainly want to give Budget Blinds of Greater Tampa a call at (813)968-5050. Remember, window coverings are often considered an investment in your home. For instance, did you know that shutters will actually add to the appraisal value of your property? Being under the Budget Blinds umbrella, the franchise owners have substantial buying power with forty

different vendors. As a result, they are able to offer you great options, prices and warranties not seen anywhere else in the industry! Just ask them about their 5-year “No Questions Asked” Warranty Program for their PureVu® and Norman® shutters. You’ll see that it’s quite impressive. Here’s the amazing thing, though… The second part of the Trotters’ dream has been undertaken in a big way. They lend their support to our local Habitat for Humanity by donating blinds, as well as to Metropolitan Ministries by being a drop off site for food and toys. Elaine saw my eyes grow bigger while I was taking copious notes. She then summed things up rather well by saying, “We’ve been embraced by our local neighborhood and feel it is important to give back to our community.” But that’s just the beginning… Under the larger umbrella of Budget Blinds, a division of Home Franchise Concepts (HFC), they are helping our returning veterans by partnering with Homes for Our Troops. They (and other franchisees) are donating $1 for every window covered, which over a 3-year period, will provide window coverings across the country in every HFOT home. Homes for Our

Troops is a privately funded nonprofit organization that builds specially adapted, mortgage-free homes for the most severely injured Veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan post 9/11. Most of these Veterans are multiple amputees, paraplegic, quadriplegic or have suffered severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). The homes built for these Veterans will help to restore the freedom and independence that they sacrificed while serving our nation, thus enabling them to focus on family, recovery and rebuilding their lives. Wow! There even ways you can personally help, if you are so inclined… just ask and Elaine, Jim or any of their staff to fill you in on the details. This initiative follows Corporate Budget Blinds’ existing commitment to offer veteran-friendly franchise op-

portunities, as well. “Everyone needs a safe haven to feel comfortable,” Elaine noted. Budget Blinds of Greater Tampa has the express desire and the expertise to help make that a reality for your home or business. It’s no wonder that they have a steady stream of returning customers and referrals to delight anew. There are even commercial applications like Burger King, Tijuana Flats and apartment complexes like Citrus Run, near Sheldon Road) in the mix.

Suffice it to say that the Trotters and their staff are equipped to handle all your window covering needs. Let them assist you the next time you want to maximize the possibilities within your home or business, “whatever the dilemma.” Hope to see you there soon! Budget Blinds of Greater Tampa is located 1208 W. Fletcher Ave. in Tampa. For more info please call (813) 968 – 5050 or visit BudgetBlinds.com/NorthTampa.

Great Clips is Cut Above Rest By Deborah Bostock-Kelley You don’t need to ask the employees of Great Clips if they like what they do for a living; the proof is found on the faces of their satisfied customers. “It’s quick. They do a great job and it’s not that expensive. They make me look good,” quipped customer Alan Bell, “And I’m really not giving them much to work with.” It’s this type of friendly banter and customer relationship that separates Great Clips from the rest of the wallet-friendly hair cutting shops. Ally Phlipot and Sarah Kahn, stylists at the Palms of Carrollwood location, located on the corner of Fletcher and North Dale Mabry, agreed that ‘meeting and talking to new people’ was what they enjoyed best about their job. “It’s never the same – you’re always meeting someone new,” added stylist Lindsey Willis. A longtime resident of Tampa, owner Lea Orchard got in the ground floor in Tampa Bay of a now nation-

12

APRIL 2015

wide franchise and opened her first Great Clips location in 2001. She was the first to bring the Great Clips franchise to her community. It wasn’t always easy. Over a decade ago, Great Clips did not yet have any local renowned name recognition or the 60 Tampa Bay locations, 3,700 nationwide locations in the U.S and Canada that it does today. “At first, people thought we sold hair clips,” said Lea. Orchard recently opened her fourth and newest location on the corner of State Road 54 and Livingston next to Panera Bread in Central Pasco. “What is great about this business is it is a small business; I have the Great Clips name, but it’s my business and I have to build it up,” added Lea. Despite county signage regulations making it difficult to advertise the location of this Great Clips shop, in its 8 months since opening, this State Road 54 and Livingston location has almost as much volume as her flagship store in Carrollwood. Lea is proud that she is a hundred

percent hands-on with her business. Whether it’s frequent visits to each of her four Great Clips locations, hiring her staff, or mastering the art of guerilla marketing, this single mother of four balances business and family with determination and grace. “I won’t keep anybody that I wouldn’t let cut my hair,” she said, as she explained the process for selecting the talented stylists that have become her second family in her four shops. The stylists stay up to date on the newest trends in hair, including the “pompadour” and prohibition under cut for men and inverted and textured bobs, tousled beach waves, and bangs

for the ladies. “We keep notes in the computer of every person’s haircut every time they come in,” said Lea. “We check the notes. Consultation is huge. We ask them if ‘this is what we did last time. What do you want to do today?’ ” If a haircut request is out of the ordinary or is something that has everyone scratching their heads, Lea is happy to allow technology to come to the rescue. The stylists can pull out their SmartPhones, find the perfect photo online to confirm with the customer the style they are seeking before putting a scissor or electric razor to their head.

Carrollwood Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles

Great Clips owner Lea Orchard Technology has also helped reduce any wait time at the shop. Guests can check-in on their computers or SmartPhones and add their name to the wait list, ensuring little to no wait when they arrive. “Our online check-in is amazing,” said Lea. “You can look online and see what the wait is at a particular store. If there’s a 20-minute wait, you sign in right then and 20 minutes later you come in. No matter who came in here after you signed in online, you are in front of them. You get called first before the people who didn’t check in online.”

SmartPhone technology is welcomed at Great Clips - whether you want to pull up a picture of your desired haircut to show your stylist or would like to save time and check in before your arrival. Being a member of several networking groups like CABA, where she was 2012 president, Lea said one of the best things about being involved in the day-to-day operations is that people talk to her about their experiences in her shops. She said, “I have a lot of – basically secret shoppers – but I don’t send them; they just come.” She says that her shops are familyoriented. Seventy percent of her cus-

tomers are men and families. The women tend to come after their husband or child has had a haircut. While they can spend hundreds of dollars on coloring, the women have discovered the benefit of saving money by coming to Great Clips for an outstanding $14 haircut. Lea’s Great Clips stores also provide a $2 discount to military, firefighters and police. “We do what we do best – hair-

cuts,” said Lea. “Everybody needs a haircut and we offer affordable quality haircuts that can fit into your schedule. Great Clips is near and dear to my heart and I’m trying to build it to be a family business. I’d like my kids to take them over some day. I want to build the business and then have it be a legacy.” Lea Orchard offers four convenient Great Clips locations: Carrollwood – located on the corner of Fletcher and Dale Mabry in the Palms of Carrollwood at 13129 B N Dale Mabry Hwy; (813) 969-2960. Lutz – located on the corner of Lutz Lake Fern and Dale Mabry in Lutz Lake Crossing at 19231 N Dale Mabry Hwy; (813) 909-4125 Citrus Park- located on the corner of Sheldon and Gunn in the Shoppes of Citrus Park at 7851 Gunn Hwy; (813) 920-1100 Pasco County – located on the corner of State Rd. 54 and Livingston in the Shoppes at Grand Cypress at 23388 State Rd. 54, Unit 106; (813) 949-5999. Opening soon, is also a fifth location in Riverview. Hours for all locations are Monday through Friday 9am to 9pm, Saturday 9am – 6pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm.

The Tampa Kids Market Inspiring Young Entrepreneurs to Explore Business and Commerce By Kim Thomas The Tampa Kids Market gives kids ages 8–17 the opportunity to learn commerce in an open market setting. Kids’ are creative, energetic, and many of them are ready to start their own businesses before fear of failure ever has the chance to quell their entrepreneurial spirit. Recently, I wrote a business feature for RN & Associates for the East Lake Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles, a sister publication to Carrollwood Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles. The thing that is intriguing about RN & Associates is that these two Financial Advisors, Philip Nelson and Ram Ramcharran, focus on teaching the children and young adults of wealthy clients how to manage their inherited wealth (we should all be so fortunate, I know!), but more than that, they encourage them to create their own wealth. With families of their own, they feel that kids can learn important business concepts early. I enjoyed a story Ram shared of his

9-year-old son planning a lemonade stand and puzzling over finding “a price point that will be acceptable to the general public.” Kids don’t have to be born rich to learn these concepts though, and right here in Tampa Bay, we have the Tampa Kids Market, where young minds are figuring out price points, signage, inventory costs and much more! The Tampa Kids Market was created by a couple of “mompreneurs” who realized that there are many talented, young “kidpreneurs” in the Tampa Bay area who would benefit by having a place where they could sell their wares and learn to manage their own small businesses. Tampa Bay moms and business partners Andrea Bowe and Regina Hord are the owners of FIT4MOM Tampa Bay (a Mommy & Me fitness franchise) who started the Tampa Kids Market, which they also manage. The Tampa Kids Market provides a place where kids ages 8 to 17 can create, sell and learn to manage their small business in a

farmers’ market setting. It features both kid vendors and businesses that sell family-related products and/or provide children’s services, as well as community resources and free activities for kids. The Tampa Kids Market rotates at several of the Tampa Bay Markets

Interested in Being a Kid Vendor? Rules do apply and there are a couple of important things to keep in mind if you’d like to be a vendor. Kid Vendors must be between ages 8–17 and can offer a variety of products and services. There is NO FEE for Kid Vendors to participate in the Tampa Kids Market, but they must complete an online application and also have a current Parental/Kid Participation Agreement on file for 2015. The Tampa Kids Market tries not to have

two of the same type products and it does not accept adult vendors who sell food. Kid vendors are allowed to make and sell food products but they must be pre-approved including their full ingredients list. Keeping to the fresh market concept, all food items must be made from scratch and contain no artificial ingredients or dyes – no “boxed” food, kiddos! Creativity is abloom at the Tampa Kids Market and all ideas are encouraged but must be pre-approved. Kids can work together as a school group, a local fundraiser, with friends, siblings, or alone. Some examples of products and services offered by Kid Vendors are: DJ’s/musicians/bands, jewelry, Make and Take crafts, dog treats, baked goods, toys, garden grown vegetables and fruits, costumes, face painting, balloon animals, original art work, fundraisers, jams/jellies, magnets, paper weights, upcycled/repurposed items – really, let your imagination soar!

Carrollwood Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles

Once you’ve completed the application process (details at TampaKidsMarket.com), you are only confirmed for a market when Tampa Kids Market sends you an approval email and you have returned your Participation Agreement. Then, Kid Vendors are selected by a rotation of first-time kid vendors to allow as many children to participate as possible. Children of market vendors/exhibitors are not given priority and will be put in the rotation as well if they require a separate market stall from their parents. If you would like your child to participate in every market, you do have the option to reserve and pay for an adult handmade vendor space for a reduced fee of $35 per market. Kid Vendors who cancel with less than 3 business days notice will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee. What You’ll Need If selected as a vendor, kids are required to have their own market setup that includes table, table cloth, maximum of two chairs, a sign that says what they are selling with the price(s) listed, money for change, and a minimum 10-x-8-ft. tent or large outdoor umbrella for shade. Space is limited and more rules apply. See full list and

“Market Day Requirements” at TampaKidsMarket.com. Parents may assist their children when necessary (purchasing supplies, getting organized, using the oven, driving); however, parents are not allowed to make items for the children to sell OR sell their own handmade items at a Kid Vendor booth. Parents who make items to sell must apply as a business. Businesses owned and operated by adults that want to participate as a vendor at the Tampa Kids Market must adhere to the Kids Market guidelines, rules and regulations, which can be found on the website. Sponsorships & Volunteers Needed Become a sponsor or volunteer at Tampa Kids Market. Businesses, churches/non-profit organizations and even families can get involved! If you’d like to help sponsor the Tampa Kids Market, you may email TampaKidsMarket@gmail.com and they will contact you to find out more about how you’d like to get involved and send you a sponsorship proposal or volunteer packet. Sponsors also may give out products, services or provide volunteers at Tampa Kids Market events. (TampaKidsMarket.com)

Hunter Newsom, MD utilizes the most advanced medical laser technology in the world; even better, they have an office and surgery center located right here in Carrollwood! Following in the footsteps of his father, who is also an ophthalmologist, Dr. Newsom has had a passion for the field for as long as he can remember. “I have always had an interest in ophthalmology,” says Dr. Newsom. “I’ve always liked working with my hands. Even if I won the lottery and never had to work again I would still do what I do. I love what I do and the gratification from giving people their

Featuring three generations, Dr. T. Hunter Newsom (R) is acccompanied by his daughter Madison (Middle) and father Dr. William Newsom (L). vision back is something I don’t want to live without. It’s really a unique, special thing!” Starting with a staff of five, within a year of opening his first location in Sebring, Florida in 2001, Dr. Newsom, had already began building his own surgery center as a way to implement the new technology in Cataract and LASIK surgery that he, himself, had helped to develop. Opening his own surgery center not only allowed him to help more people, it also gave

him the platform to do more research, which in turn caused his practice to grow at a substantial rate; he is about to hit a significant milestone – 100,000 patients since opening his practice 14 years ago! Dr. Newsom says, “When I first opened my practice, it started off as a very intimate family business. My children would often come to work with me; we had a room above the office where they would play during the day. Although we have expanded we are

still a family practice.” And, as such, they still abide by the same standards and dedication to quality customer service that was implemented day one. “We are really dedicated to making our patients feel comfortable,” adds Dr. Newsom. “The more comfortable they are, the easier my job is.” Hoping to one day continue the family legacy, Dr. Newsom’s oldest daughter Madison, already knows what she wants to do when she grows up – she wants to be just like her dad! During the summer, and whenever she has the free time, she can be found alongside her dad shadowing him and helping whenever possible. Dr. Newsom’s wife, Stacy is also very involved in the business and has been by her husband’s side from the very beginning.

When looking for an eye surgeon, experience and accreditations are everything, so if you want the best of the best, look no further than Newsom Eye! Developing much of the technology that is used in his practice, Dr. Newsom truly is a leader in the field and is among the best and brightest in the world. His noteworthy accomplishments include:

- Inventor of the Newsom Bladeless Laser Cataract Surgery Technique adapting the IntraLase Femtosecond Laser for use in Cataract Surgery. -First surgeon in the world to implant Aphakic Artisan™ intraocular lenses in a patient with megalocornea. -First surgeon in the US to implant FDA approved bilateral Aphakic Artisan™ intraocular lenses. -One of only two surgeons nationally recognized for “Surgical Excellence” in cataract and implant surgery awarded by the American College of Eye Surgeons. -One of the first surgeons in the US to surgically implant both the Visian™ and Verisyse™ phakic iontraocular lenses.

There are many things to consider when choosing an ophthalmologist. In addition to accreditations and experience– which Dr. Newsom clearly has – technology is another important aspect. At Newsom Eye, Dr. Newsom and his colleagues use only the cutting edge and newest laser technology available, allowing them to provide the most outstanding surgical results. It is also important to note that their surgical center is AAAHC approved, which is significant in that it shows their continued dedication to maintaining the highest national standard in sterility and safety. LASIK patient Jennifer Miller, MD writes, “As a physician, I depend on seeing clearly every day to effectively perform my job. For years I have been afraid to trust anyone with the surgical correction of my eyes. When I learned about Dr. Newsom and his state of the art facility and latest technology, I knew at last I had found someone I could entrust with my vision. The entire experience was

positive – from the pre-operative exam, the day of procedure, and the post-operative follow up. By the next day, I was restored to perfect vision and felt great. I put my confidence in the best and I am glad I did. Thank you Dr. Newsom.” Newsom Eye currently has three locations to better serve their patients – Sebring, Carrollwood, and the newest expansion in South Tampa. Dr. Newsom is also in the process of opening a 40,000 square foot clinic and surgery center in Sebring where FDA studies will be performed. The Citrus Park Rockies Make History at Citrus Park! By Alexis Selby It’s all about girl power and sisterhood for the Citrus Park Rockies, the first ever all girls t-ball team at Citrus Park. Making history, this all girls team has been working hard to prove that their team has what it takes to compete with co-ed and all-boys teams in the league. Ranging in age from 5 – 7 years old, these girls sure have heart and prove that girls can play ball too! It was the vision of mother Danielle Diaz and other parents in the area that brought this team to life. Wanting to give their daughters the same bonding experience that many of their sons got to experience by playing on an all-boys team, these parents banded together to start an all-girls team. “We started the Citrus Park Rockies with the hopes of having these girls grow together as a team throughout the years, giving them the opportunity to form that camaraderie that all- boys teams get to experience,” says Danielle. “We want our daughters to grow up and be well-rounded and know all different types of sports and not just

ballet and gymnastics. Being a part of a team is a completely different experience,” adds one mom. For many of these girls, this is their first time playing a team sport, but you would never be able to tell – the way they work together as a team is really

impressive and they have already began to show such immense progress. On the other hand, there are quite a few girls on the team who have been around the ball field their entire lives and have already played a few seasons on a coed team. They have graciously

welcomed the new girls and made them feel right at home on the field. “Half of the girls have older brothers so they are accustomed to being at the park and many have played on other coed teams,” says Danielle. “Now, it’s their turn to shine!” After talking to many of the girls, it was clear to see that they were really happy with the opportunity. Comments ranged from “It’s really fun” and “It’s better because we get to play with all girls and no boys,” to “We get to meet new friends and play with friends from school.” Joining a team is a great way for young girls to build their confidence, and when it comes to the Colorado Rockies they are all about positive reinforcement and proving that girls are just as good as boys when it comes to playing ball! “The coaches are so good with them,” says one mom. “The reinforcement and positivity is amazing. They are all about encouragement.” Danielle adds, “It’s important to teach these girls from a young age the importance of teamwork and for them to get out there and play against the boys to help build their confidence

and egos.” With purple tie-dye socks, and can-do attitudes, the Colorado Rockies are here to prove that this season, it’s all about the girls! Watch out, because they’re here to win! By next fall the Citrus Park Rockies are planning to expand the all girls t-ball and softball program and are looking for girls ages 6 to 16 to play. “Dr. Redmon” Continued from page 1 to refer their friends and family. They have taken care of three generations of family members in their office. "My patients trust that I will tell them the truth," says Dr. Redmon. "I enjoy talking with my patients and discussing with them what they want to accomplish. Many patients don't know what to expect. Some have an idea based upon what they have read on the internet. I get to know my patients and help to point them in the direction that is the best option for them. I work with them to achieve the best solution to their problem; the one that will give the best result. One reason we do not use computer imaging is because what you can show on a computer screen is not necessarily reproducible in the operating room. Every patient is different and needs a customized approach. I am very thorough at discussing what is going to happen and what to expect at surgery. With their own unique touch, and many times sharing their own personal experiences, the staff at Dr. Redmon's office is very personable and caring and will welcome you in and

"We have a lot of patients who come back for new procedures because they feel comfortable," says Kathy. "Our office is very warm and our patients enjoy the atmosphere. Our patients love the staff!" Patient J.S. writes, "If you're looking for a great plastic surgeon, Dr. Redmon, without a doubt, should be

your first choice. I have had two procedures - a facelift and an abdominoplasty - and both had fabulous results. Dr. Redmon is professional, yet friendly and caring. I had to go for cardiac clearance prior to my surgery, and the cardiologist indicated that Dr. Redmon had 'some of the best hands' in his field. His staff is also very friendly and professional. manent eyeliner for me, and I have been very pleased. I give Dr. Redmon and his staff an A+." When it comes to plastic surgery, Dr. Redmon has made a name for himself. One of the youngest graduates to receive his certification in plastic surgery, Dr. Redmon's work ethic and dedication to excellence is perfectly complemented by his precision and passion for plastic surgery. His thirst for knowledge and excellence has remained strong to this day, which is why it will come as no surprise that for over 8 years he has been named one of the top plastic surgeons by Tampa Bay Metro Magazine. If you are having plastic surgery, especially on your face, you want to have a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, which is different than someone Board Certified in another area who is doing Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Redmon’s passion for plastic surgery is the driving force behind his practice and the reason why after over three decades he is just as excited to be in the operating room. “Operating is fun,” he says. “Everyday is different and each patient is unique.
