Capital Millwork Continually Brings in New Products to Beautifully Update Your Home Link, and Jessica Elder, who has an extensive background in millwork. The great thing about Capital Millwork, is that they can work within your budget to help you find the products that will look great and set your home apart from the standard builders-grade installations that it most like had when you moved in. There are so many options when choosing Capital Millwork. But – get this – it is super thick and resilient and can be installed right over existing tile! If you’ve ever had to live through remodeling and the mess and expense of removing tile, then you understand my excitement over this product. firm. Raised outside of Cleveland, Ohio, Scott received his degree from Penn State in Management and Economics and has been in the financial industry since 1988. Scott and his family live locally, and as a father, Scott understands the importance of creating a financial budget that’s both realistic and proactive for the future. Friendly and easy to talk to, Scott’s favorite question is, “Have you planned for your retirement?” Scott says, “People put off dealing with their finances when it should be near the top of their priority list.” He says, “People always say that they want to, but they’re busy or they say they’ll get to it, but that won’t help you long term.” What keeps people from talking about planning for their retirement? Is it a fear of the future or perhaps a lack of understanding in how their budget works? Generally, it’s simply thinking that financial planning is simple and that they can do it themselves, or that they will deal with it when the time

comes. In a way, Scott is like a lot like a fitness coach who can help set realistic goals for your financial future. By setting reachable goals that make sense, and by making some changes in your current spending habits, some smart investments and perhaps changing some other habits that aren’t helping you in your goal, your future can look remarkably more attractive! That said, if you don’t meet with your coach, you may continue on a less ideal path! The beauty of working with someone like Scott is that he’s an independent financial professional, which means that he’s not under any obligation to try and use a particular product or service, which means he has access to a myriad of financial products and services, allowing clients to completely customize their investment portfolios. Having what’s called a “diversified platform” in the industry simply means that you’re not limited! Friendly and easy to talk to, Scott takes pride in having a strong relation-

RED “Writing” Hood Play These Brooker Creek Elementary five and six year olds may look young and small but don't let that fool you! Mrs. Crim’s kindergarten class can read, write, memorize, sing, and even act! They now can officially add musical theater to their resumes! In March, they presented a theatrical production of RED, Little Red “Writing” Hood written by Jane Tesh with music composed by Joni Klein-Higger. This full-scale production included complete 3D scenery, intricate costumes, solos and group singing, memorized scripts, loads of humor, and Tony winning acting! These
kindergarteners pulled off this impossible mission under the guidance of producers Mrs. Crim and student teacher, Mrs. Lintz. In this production, RED decides to be creative and rewrite traditional fairy tales. Although initially RED relieves the fairy tale characters from obstacles they face, this appeasement is
shortlived. The characters find themselves in more complicated situations, and their stories even become intertwined at times. Luckily, the FBI, otherwise known as the Fairy Tale Believers, was able to step in and save the day!
This production was truly an entertaining experience for all who participated or had the pleasure of enjoying from the audience. A special thank you goes out to all of the parents and families who helped make the RED “Writing” Hood Play an unforgettable and magical success!

Kids R Kids Academy of Trinity Opening in April By Dara Tucker Trinity will soon be the next home to the national franchise, Kids R Kids Academy. Anitha Thomas is the owner of Kids R Kids Academy in Wesley Chapel and is excited to open Trinity’s brand new state-of-the-art facility. Anitha says that she looked for two years to find the perfect property in Trinity that would allow students to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The 17,000-square-foot facility sits on two acres of property at 11081 Trinity Boulevard in Trinity. From infants as young as six weeks old to school-aged children who need before and after school care and summer camps, Kids R Kids of Trinity has a program to fit your family’s childcare needs. Owner Anitha Thomas comes from a family of educators, and taught Engineering Physics at the collegiate level before she opened Kids R Kids in Wesley Chapel ten years ago. When you first come to Kids R Kids you’ll notice Anitha takes safety seriously. Each parent is supplied with a small fob that allows him or her secure access to the building, similar to a keyless hotel card. After a fob is used to

enter the building the parent uses a touch screen at the counter to sign their child in and out of Kids R Kids. There is always a director at the front desk, and there also is a security camera in the lobby. The glass walls in the preschool allow the classrooms to be visible to each other and help the children transition to their next developmentally appropriate learning area easier. Each classroom has two cameras that online stream through a secure website that parents can sign up on to view their child during the day. The school is designed to hold 290 children and Anitha keeps each age group at a lower teacher/student ratio than the state requires, which allows for better teacher interaction with the children. Each class has one lead teacher (who has a CDA, A.A. degree, or bachelors degree, and five or more years experience) and one or more assistants (who have completed DCF training and have a minimum of one year childcare experience). The Trinity location will have at least thirty-six employees to meet the children’s needs. Kids R Kids has its own SACS approved 42-week progressive curriculum, along with a 10-week Summer

In addition to the outdoor nature area, there is a fully shaded play area for infants, two- and three-year-olds, three- and four-yearolds, and a play area for children four and older. Having different play areas for different ages ensures children are

The outdoor water park area will be completed by summer, and is sure to be a favorite spot for the kids! Another unique aspect of Kids R Kids Academy is the full size cafeteria that holds nearly fifty students at a time. They have a full sized kitchen that is run by a certified chef who creates well-balanced, nutritional meals for the children. up or drop off to communicate with teachers about their child’s growth they can look on line when it’s convenient for them. There are eight to nine different aspects, or categories, on the report, depending on the child’s age.” With a successful Kids R Kids Academy branch in Wesley Chapel, Anitha is excited to be offering Trinity a state-of-the-art facility for the families in the area. The location allows students to have authentic learning experiences both inside and outside with a nurturing staff. If you’re interested in registering your child for Kids R Kids Academy at 11081 Trinity Blvd. in New Port Richey, including before and after school care and summer camp, contact Anitha Thomas at 727-376-5437. Owner Stefan Dobrev
By Marcy Sanford Stefan Dobrev has been improving people’s lives through dance for decades. A Bulgarian National Dance Champion, Stefan began dancing when he was seven years old and at fifteen, he knew that he wanted to open his own studio one day. “I competed in dance competitions all across Europe,” says Stefan. “The first time I saw a professional dance studio in Norway, I knew that I wanted to have

my own studio one day where I could teach people the joy of dancing.” Stefan’s dream has come true now with the opening of the elegant Dance Excellence Ballroom, located at 3730 Tampa Road in Oldsmar. If you are interested in learning how to dance socially or yearn to compete on the dance floor, the expert dance instructors at Dance Excellence Ballroom will have you cha cha-ing and waltzing like a pro in no time. At Dance Excellence Ballroom, you have

the opportunity to learn both International and American Style Ballroom dances, including Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, Samba, Tango, Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Swing, and Salsa. With the widest selection available in the Tampa Bay area, you can sign up for a private dance lesson or choose a group class. “When someone learns how to dance, it improves their lives in so many different ways,” says Stefan. “Not only is it great exercise, physically and mentally, but ballroom dancing also teaches you how to

communicate with a partner and shows you techniques on how to work together. Dancing also builds your self-esteem and confidence. When you come to ballroom dancing classes you create new social contacts and meet new people. Once you know how to dance, no one can take that from you and it is something you can enjoy throughout the rest of your life. We help people improve their lives and enjoy life to the fullest at Dance Excellence Ballroom.” Stefan’s route to studio ownership

was not an easy one. When he first moved to the U.S. he didn’t know any English and had to work many jobs just to make ends meet. He says, “I would take any job I could find. I was living in a tiny apartment with only a table, two chairs and a mattress. I had the chance to go back to Bulgaria but I made up my mind that I wanted to pursue my dream.” Eventually Stefan found his way to a dance studio in St. Petersburg and began teaching students there. Along the way he learned English fluently and was the top teacher in the Southeast region for six years and he was the National top teacher for three years in a row. Stefan has established Dance Excellence Ballroom to cater to each student’s individual needs. All of the teachers are nationally certified and licensed and Dance Excellence Ballroom offers you the flexibility to learn in an environment that works best for you. Stefan says, “We want our students to feel comfortable at Dance Excellence Ballroom and to love coming to their lessons. All of the teachers here care about their clients and love dancing.” Stefan and the other teachers at Dance Excellence Ballroom also compete throughout the year and par-
ticipate in continuing education classes every six months. This helps them stay up-to-date about new dance trends and teaching methods. Dance Excellence Ballroom offers both private and group lessons. Private lessons can be tailored to your specific goals and needs. In the group lessons, you’ll still get individualized attention and instruction from professional dance teachers, but you’ll also learn how to dance in a group. At Dance Excellence, you can take lessons with a partner or on your own – the choice is yours! “Ballroom dancing is for everyone,” says Stefan. “You don’t have to be a superstar – but you can be if you want to. We take time to talk to our students so we know their goals. Our goal is to provide excellent service and dance lessons at all times. We want to help people learn how to dance and

enjoy life.” In addition to social dancing, Dance Excellence Ballroom can help you train for competitive dancing or can teach you a dance for a special occasion like a wedding or anniversary. “We love working with couples to help them learn dances for special occasions,” says Stefan. “They can bring us the song they want to dance to and we will create a choreographed dance just for them. It can be as simple or as elaborate as they want. We can even have group lessons for an entire wedding party to help them learn a dance or dances. Our private dance parties are a great place for the couple to practice their dance in front of a group before the big day.” “We’ve found that people come to Dance Excellence Ballroom for many different reasons,” adds Stefan. “Some come here because dancing is a
form of stress relief for them; some want to learn a new hobby; and many couples come to give them something to do together and treat it as a date night. Whatever the reason our students choose to come, we are happy to improve their lives through ballroom dancing.” Dance Excellence Ballroom is located in the Oldsmar Plaza at 3730 Tampa Road, Suite 7. They are open Monday – Friday, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more information about group or private lessons or dance parties, visit online at www.DanceExcellenceBallroom.com or call (813) 814-0099.

going on behind the walls? Jeff’s your guy! Deserving of the name Property Doctors, Jeff loves to get in there and “diagnose” the space, making sure that what’s already there is healthy and done right! From there he “prescribes” if you will, the best way to move forward. Most importantly, Jeff understands the delicate balance between vision and budget, and can help to guide clients throughout the process, considering cost and design. Additionally, Libba is one of those design gurus who knows where to place the furniture, hang the pictures and create a space, where the rest of us tend to stick with the status quo. Often sought out for her expertise in the field of Feng Shui, Libba is fun and easy to work with. Her peaceful energy and passion for design makes decorating exciting. Feng Shui isn’t a crazy new technique, but an ancient approach to living your best life. It’s pretty easy to understand; for example, many people feel that when their desk is cluttered, they have a hard time getting to work. Feng Shui simply helps you use the

In each service provided, the work done was outstanding. Jeff pays very close attention to detail and completed each job to our 100% satisfaction. The feeling I have is that Jeff did each job as if he was working in his own home. He is very highly rec-

A dish that is special to Chef Victor, as it is from Northern China where his father's people are from, is the Zha Jiang Mian or “Fried Sauce Noodles (Northern China). A lot of exceptional dishes are from this province, which is well known for noodle dishes because rice is not grown in this area. Zha Jiang Mian is a
rib-sticking noodle dish that has been compared to the Italian spaghetti bolognese. Consisting of thick fresh noodles topped with a mixture of chopped pork, it features an intensely aromatic sauce that’s salty, sweet, and loaded with umami flavor. Fresh crunchy cucumbers finish this amazing dish. The menu truly has a choice for everyone. Zen Forrest welcomes customers with vegetarian, vegan, glutenfree and special dietary restrictions.

Chef Victor Wang divine. I’ll mention a few of delicious selections that await you from the KTown Kitchen at Zen Forrest. Go Chu Chop (Korea) – Frenched bone-in pork chop marinated in Go Chu, peppers, garlic, ginger, and onion, then pan seared and served with Ki Chi, steamed rice and pickled Asian vegetables – is one to try! . The Bokkum Bap (Korea) is Kim Chi and shredded pork or chicken fried rice, Chef Victor says it is “A dish sure to satisfy your crav-
ings for garlicky and snappy flavors.” Bibimbap (mixed rice bowl) is a large vibrant bowl of fresh avocado, pickled cucumber, pickled carrots, pickled daikon, sesame’d sprouts, seasoned spinach, steamed rice and your choice of meat topped with a fried egg and bibimbap sauce and a choice of beef, Bulgogi, Gochu chicken, or Ahi tuna. The K-Town Tacos –well, put it this way, when large populations of Koreans and Mexicans live in close proximity, like in California, Korean tacos are what happens! Choose this dish and enjoy a mixed taco plate of two beef Bulgogi and 2 Gochu chicken tacos topped with crunchy slaw served with Korean rice and beans. Love pho? Try the Zen Solongtang (Korean Pho). Solongtang is the Korean counterpart to Vietnamese Pho. A big bowl of local organic beef bone broth simmered until rich and creamy then blended with special spices and scallions with specks of ground beef, Korean rice gnocchi noodles served red or white. The K-Town Kitchen experience also includes dessert; Chapssul is a Korean sweet potato and rice donut lightly sweetened with cinnamon sugar. In addition to lunch and dinner Zen Forrest also offers catering (both

“Calendar” Continued from page 5 Countryside Christian Center Starts Make Them Matter Program For over 30 years Countryside Christian Center (CCC) has been improving the lives of people right here in the Tampa Bay area and around the world. Their newest project is one they envision helping them go further than ever to enrich the community, regardless of religious affiliation. “Our community matters. What we do with the opportunities placed in front of us matters” says Senior Pastor Glenn Davis. The opportunity currently placed in front of them? The Make Them Matter project; an ambitious undertaking to renovate the existing youth facility into a place that will be used not only for CCC programs, but for the entire community. “We believe in investing in the next generation. It’s been a priority to us since our beginning. Renovating our facility into our new youth and community center will expand our opportunity to make a lasting impact in our area. We want to be a place where everyone belongs and is valued, a place where genuine community exists. A place where people of

all ages can do life together.” Realizing this vision requires the help and generosity of not just the members of CCC but all those who believe in making the bay area an even better place to live. The financial goal to complete renovations is $3 million with a little over $800,000 being raised so far. “We see not just a {youth} center but a community center— a rec center. A place for banquets and weddings and sports…where a future school could have a home gymnasium…where kids can be tutored after school…where adults could learn life skills. A place where people would look back and say “being here was the best time of my life.” Learn more about the program at www.makethemmatter.com. CCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Countryside Christian Center: Countryside Christian Center believes the most important call in life is to Love God and Love Others. Their goal is to reach the Tampa Bay community and the world with love, hope, healing and salvation. CCC is located at 1850 North McMullen Booth Rd in Clearwater with services Sunday at 9:15am and 11:15am (childcare available). “Pam Williams” Continued from page 1 business, we had the opportunity to choose the brands that we wanted to represent, and choose the best brands with the best warranties. Also, we are one of the few Hunter Douglas authorized dealers around, and we offer every product that they carry, every book.” Arlene Davis was so happy with her experience with Williams Window Treatments, that she actually contacted Dunedin’s Chamber of Commerce to say, “This company has gone out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. They are a family run business and they treat their customers with courtesy and respect. They are delightfully different from the massmarket companies, and I would heartily recommend them to anyone interested in window treatments.” Stop By To See The Brand New Decorators Showroom! Choosing the right window treatment goes far beyond simply choosing a color. Today, the options range from simple blinds and classic shutters to modern shades. You can even save

money in the long run, because some of the most state-of-the-art options are made of energy-efficient materials. Others are designed to be effortlessly changed by remote or even with an app on your smart phone. Whether you like classic, ornate or modern touches, window treatments are an excellent investment into the life of your home. Pam says, “Our new, larger showroom is in the same building as before, but around the corner, and it features some of our major brands, including Hunter Douglas, and showcase some of our motorized options.” Always on top of the latest home design and décor trends, Pam enjoys helping her clients find the right window treatment for their home. Pam says, “What makes us unique is our approach. We’re family owned and operated. While I work with my clients one-on-one, my husband Rob and my son, Steve, do the installations.” She adds, “I run into my clients at the grocery store, and all over town, see for us, working with clients is more than making a sale. It’s more like creating a friendship. As a result, we have a large amount of repeat business and referrals.” While other stores will charge a

She says, “We make sure that everything fits, we install everything ourselves and we don’t use any subcontractors.
