Pool Shark is on the Job Keeping Your Pool Perfect! By Katie Thomas Owning a home with a pool has its benefits – a cool dip on a hot summer day, an evening relaxing poolside, and hosting parties around a sparkling pool that adds to the ambiance – there are endless possibilities for fun and entertainment when you own a beautiful, well-kept pool. One of the only downfalls of having a pool, in most people’s opinion, is maintenance. This year, choose to spend less of your free time working on your pool and more time enjoying it – call Pool Shark. Pool Shark Service, Inc. is the premier pool maintenance company that services customers in Trinity, Odessa and beyond, utilizing the newest innovative technologies to keep your pool safe and sparkling clean all year. Pool Shark Service does the work, so you can do the relaxing. Now what’s better than that? Jason Coment began Pool Shark Service after realizing the community had a need for knowledgeable, advanced and experienced pool technicians that offered more than standard

pool care. As a family run and operated business, Pool Shark has a trusted and trained team that provides the highest level of customer service and industry knowledge to clients. Jason guides his team and offers comprehensive solutions for those who want more from their pool company, and with more than a decade of combined experience in pool maintenance, the Pool Shark team works with you to create a personalized maintenance plan that fits your needs and exceeds your expectations. Conventional Chemicals––Used for over 100 years as the primary method for pool companies, chlorine is an option through Pool Shark, but is rarely recommended due to drawbacks. The client’s use of pool is limited each week due to a 24-48 hour wait period after chemicals have been added to pool. Salt Chlorine Generators––This service hit the market within the past ten years and is gaining popularity. With a salt chlorine generator the amount of chlorine needed to maintain chemical balance is much less, which means the client can use the pool whenever, unless there is a special issue that needs to be addressed. Pool Shark offers free salt chlorine generators for clients wishing to increase their pool usage and reduce high levels of chlorine found in conventional pools, and yes, free! Pool Shark will fill you in on the details. Healthy Chemistry––This service is the first of its kind in the USA and is hypoallergenic! Pool Shark will remove chlorine completely from the pool and use a combination of UV, Oxygen and Ozone when needed to sanitize the pool. Pool Shark uses the same technology that is used to purify bottled water and ensures it is the highest quality water possible. Pool Shark offers free UV sterilizers and all equipment needed for this service. You no longer have to settle for harsh chlorine chemicals. With the help of Pool Shark, your pool can be maintained easily in a safe, healthy and pristine matter. Every time a new customer signs up and mentions a Pool Shark customer’s name as referring them, that existing customer is given a $10 credit on their account, not just once, but every month as long as both remain active customers with Pool Shark. Now that’s a great referral program! David from Tampa says, “I had metal stains on a pool surface that was thirteen years old. Jason of Pool Shark came repeatedly over two weeks using acid treatments to remove the yellow stains. He was very polite, always on time and kept his commitments. I was so impressed, I recommended his services to several friends He saved me $3,000 cost in resurfacing, plus he set up a salt chlorination system, eliminating the need to lug jugs of hypochlorite solution weekly.” Jodi says, “Pool Shark was the most informed on natural hygiene methods for my pool and spa.” Another satisfied customer Heather says, “Great pool service provider- professional, knowledgeable and friendly. After trying numerous others with unsatisfactory results, I would highly recommend Pool Shark.” More than your average dip and skim pool service, Pool Shark never just skims the surface; this company goes the depth to provide the service you deserve. F Street Homes began when an Investment Banker Derrick Rushnell decided to work with his brother Devon Rushnell, a civil engineer with years of experience in geotechnical and environmental studies. The brothers worked to create a home building company that would is as much about making the experience a fun one, as it is about building a high quality home. Derrick said, “We can do our own developing, as well as building, based on our years of experience in a variety

of fields. Our backgrounds have given us the best of both worlds.” They work together with David Donnelly, who has more than 30 years of experience as a vice president of sales for well-known builders like Lennar, Torrey and Inland Homes. “Buyers who work with us get the best of all worlds,” says David. “They get the best of experience in both building and developing.” F Street Homes considers itself a niche-player in the world of building, choosing to build quality homes in small communities, and giving their
customers an impressive array of features built into the price of their homes, including features that might be considered an “extras” somewhere else, like granite countertops, backsplashes, 42-inch, wood-constructed kitchen cabinets and more. Sarah Bordin, a New Home Consultant with F Street Homes, says, “I’m excited to be representing a family company in the sense that they’ve put a lot of integrity and quality into their homes. This is a unique style of homes, they are not cookie-cutter, and they have nice architectural details.”
The Longleaf Community is an ideal family location, filled with activities, community events, and even a town hall! The sweet main street is Town Avenue, complete with a pizzeria and a coffee shop. Right next door to the coffee shop, F Street Homes has rented a space to meet with people who are interested in building their new F Street Home in Longleaf, while the model home is being built. For now, future-residents who would like to visit a model, can visit the model in the Hayes Park Community in Oldsmar. Sarah says, “The homes we are building in Longleaf are unique in that they are cottage-style, detached single family homes, in a limited maintenance environment.” Adding, “Longleaf is a CDD community [Community Development District], which gives it a sense of community that other neighborhoods don’t have.” Fall in Love with Your New F Street Home! F Street Homes offers three “Florida cottage style” floor plans, each of which are two-story and have the southern charm of a home that might have been built in South Carolina circa 1955, with architectural details that hint at nostalgia. These new two-story homes will be like most of the others in Longleaf that have

garages behind the house, which gives the community that white-picket-fence feel. The three gorgeous floor plans to choose from all start with an F! The Fara Blanco, Freedom and Florida floor plans are each uniquely designed to fit into the Longleaf community, while being unique to your particular preferences. Each of the three homes has 3 bedrooms, 2 ½ bathrooms, a 2-car garage, and an open floor plan. Ranging in size from 1445 to 1617 square feet, each of these homes comes filled to the brim with extra features that will make you proud. Starting at $239,900, $245,900 and $255,900, you can afford to build the home that you’ve been fantasizing about with F Street Homes. Once you choose your floor plan, you will meet with one of F Street’s designers, who will make choosing the details of your home a fabulously fun experience! Realtor Vincent Scartz Knows & Loves Tampa Bay’s Golf Communities By Katie Thomas Realtor Vincent Scartz has just the right touch of professionalism, passion and sales drive to help you purchase or sell your home. As a Coldwell Banker agent, Vincent has an extensive reference list of professionals both locally and nationally, making the job of selling your home that much simpler. Vince’s specialty is listing homes and working for sellers because he believes in getting people the price they want for their home. Of course, if you are looking, Vince also can help you find your next home. Vince’s professionalism, knowledge and experience is matched with an intuitive nature, and since 2011, he has focused on the Tampa Bay Area’s beautiful golf communities, helping clients to find the right price at which to sell their home, then working to get that price. “I have always loved selling golf homes, because the game is one of my passions,” explains Vince. “Golf

course communities have a lifestyle and relaxed atmosphere that is unmatched. One of the reasons my family and I located to the Trinity area is because we have some of the most beautiful courses around. Working as an agent selling homes in golf-based communities was a perfect fit. My family and I couldn’t be happier with the move we made here. The schools are great, shopping is central, the beaches are beautiful and the golf is as good as it gets.” Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Vince grew up and spent much of his earlier years at Scioto Country Club, which is the same course that pro-golfer Jack Nicklaus grew up playing on. Vince’s passion for working within the golf communities of Trinity, East Lake and Countryside has deep roots in from his earlier career as a Golf Pro in Columbus. He loves the game, the community and the comradeship that comes along with golf, which is why after an injury as a PGA professional, Vince decided

to open a Real Estate office that would allow him to showcase golf community homes. Vince says, “Many of my friends have moved down from Ohio to live in the Trinity area. These personal clients of mine live and breathe golf, so selling your golf-community home isn’t just work for me, it’s a way to stay connected to what I love best!” Since the beginning of his career in real estate, Vince has focused his profession on selling golf course homes. He understands the design of a course, along with the homes that are a part of that course and golf community. “When listing a home, I pull out all the stops. I send direct fliers out to potential buyers. I reach out to my own personal clients and friends for references. Golf communities are close knit and people who love golf stay connected, which makes my job of finding the right buyer for your home exciting. When working with clients, Vince takes all the necessary steps to ensure they understand the process of buying, selling and/or closing on a home. He takes the personal time with each client to find out

what it is they are looking for and he never skimps on the details. He always follows up with potential buyers, which as many people know is one of the best practices an agent can do while selling. One client wrote, “Vincent had my home under contract within 24 hours after multiple offers and ‘bidding war.’ Had no idea it would happen this fast even though Vincent warned me it would. Needing place to live QUICK, Vincent set his team out to find me the perfect town home to downsize into. Closed on home I was selling at 11 am then closed on home I was buying at 3 pm. Nerve wracking until the end but Vincent got it done. My father said to trust him and I did... THANK YOU VINCENT!” Another satisfied client, Mr. Rodriguez, says, “My Realtor from New York referred Vincent to me when I was having trouble finding a local Realtor I could deal with – I must admit I am hard to deal with at times. Unlike my two previous Realtors, Vincent answered his phone pleasantly and courteous every time I called no matter the time or my mood. Received multiple offers after price ad-
justment and ended up with more than I ever expected. I would refer Vincent to anybody that’s thinking of selling their home.” Vince began working with Coldwell Banker in Trinity in 2011. He knew that choosing a company that was well recognized and professional would make a big difference in his career. Vince says, “Coldwell Banker is one of the most recognizable brands in the world with 96% brand recognition.” People trust Coldwell Banker because since 1906, the company has helped people buy their dream homes for the American-dream-come-true. Dealing with local, national and international customers makes Coldwell Banker one of the biggest companies for Real Estate around, yet they still manage to keep their original values for honest business with the best interest of both buyers and sellers in mind. Integrity is big to Vince, which is one of the reasons he enjoys working for Coldwell Banker in Trinity. Golf legend Gary Player once said, “A good golfer has the determination to win and the patience to wait for the breaks.” Well, like a good golfer, Vincent Scartz, your
local golf-community-focused Realtor, has a very similar outlook towards his own profession. He has the patience it takes to help you get the price for your home and he possesses the determination to close on a deal. Having a Realtor like Vince on your side of the tee is for the best, whether in Real Estate or on the 18th hole. Local Cancer Survivor Fights Back through Relay For Life Movement Trinity, Florida (March 15th, 2016 ). – More than 1.6 million people will be diagnosed with cancer this year, according to the American Cancer Society. For Sharon Tanner of Trinity, FL, that statistic became personal when she heard the words “you have cancer.” Sharon Tanner was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of 2012. The following year she attended her first Relay For Life event and knew that she had to give back to the American Cancer Society, so that her granddaughters and other women and men would never hear the words, “you have breast cancer” again. Sharon says, “my work with Relay For Life of Trinity is so rewarding! It is an honor to be friends and coworkers with such dedicated people. Together we can all make a difference in the fight against cancer!” The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2014, there were nearly 14.5 million cancer survivors in the US. Thousands of cancer survivors

participate in American Cancer Society Relay For Life events each year. They, and their caregivers, take the first lap of every event as community members cheer them on and celebrate the progress that has been made against cancer. The Relay For Life movement unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all. Relay For Life events are community gatherings where teams and individuals camp out at a school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Teams raise funds in the months leading up to the event. The Relay For Life movement is

the world’s largest fundraising event to fight every cancer in every community, with four million participants in 6,000 events worldwide in 2015. Last year, 500 people participated in the Relay For Life of Trinity and raised $91,000. This year’s Relay For Life of Trinity will be held Friday, May 13th at 6pm. Registration is open for survivors, caregivers, and participants. In addition to survivors, the American Cancer Society is recruiting teams

Williams Window Treatments - A Local Favorite for Blinds, Shades, Shutters & Up-to-the-Minute Wall Coverings! By Kim Thomas Located near downtown Dunedin, at the corner of Broadway and Washington Streets, Williams Window Treatments’ showroom itself inspires you to want to play with design, offering you a well thought out and spacious design studio with choices for all budgets and all personal styles. Williams Window Treatments in Dunedin has everything for welldressed windows, plus much more – wallpaper from current designers such as Candice Olson, ultra-cool murals by Urban Chic, and grasscloth (a style revival that I love!), as well as making custom top treatments, draperies and sheers, and even bedspreads – so that you can truly make your home unique and celebrate your own style. Williams Window Treatments offers inexpensive options as well as top-of-the-line name brands, so if you want to splurge on window treatments in the main part of your home and save money in the bedrooms –
you have the option to onestop-shop. Owner Pam Williams, says, “We are extremely competitive with the big box stores in terms of our blinds!” She adds, “If I can save my customers money in certain places, I can better help them put their money where its best showcased within their home.” You will love the great variety of choices and the personal attention at Williams Window Treatments, and you’ll be dealing directly with the owners. Pam is joined by her husband Robert and son Steven; they are hands-on owners who will take care of your needs every step of the
way from choosing the look you want, to measuring and installing your new window treatments or wall coverings! “We are very people-oriented,” says Pam. “Our clients like the fact that the owner and his son do the installations. We make sure that everything fits, we install everything ourselves and we don’t use any subcontractors. And because we make so many custom treatments, we like to measure and provide a free design consultation to all of our clients.” “I enjoy helping people choose, and I don’t like people to rush into their decisions,” says Pam. “Many of our window treatments have lifetime warranties, and we want them to love them for years to come.” A Designer’s Dream Showroom! Williams Window Treatments is one of the few Hunter Douglas authorized dealers around, offering every product that the company carries. You’ll want to take some time to browse through the shelves of wall-

Sample fabrics for draperies line one entire wall, ceiling to floor, so whether you are looking for sheers or formal draperies that open and close by remote control, you’ll love the selection! Williams Window Treatments has an extensive line of hard and soft treatments, and a unique drapery department that offers top-of-theline draperies in the finest materials. Their selection is so impressive, that designers from all over Tampa Bay frequent their showroom. Williams Window Treatments has an A+ rating with Angie’s List and has great reviews. Williams Window Treatments is located at 947 Broadway Street in Dunedin and the showroom is open Monday – Friday, from 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and 10 a.m.–1 p.m. on Saturday; closed Sunday. Continued from page 1 help with depression or anxiety, add a boost to your normal workout routine, or simply want to take up a new hobby and meet new people, practicing yoga is a great foundation that can help you in nearly every aspect of your life. Jennifer knows first hand the benefits of yoga. She says, “Yoga completely changed my life. I was suffering from a major stomach issue. I went to the doctor and she said they only way to fix the problem would be to get on medication… for the rest of my life! I asked if there was another alternative and she said, ‘well there is one other thing - it’s called yoga’. So I tried yoga, and within three classes my problems were gone! The combination of lowimpact exercise and stress relief was the key for me. Yoga truly helped me, and I realized that what I did, other people could do too!” Pose by Pose yoga offers a wide variety of classes throughout the week, including Fit Club- Stretch and Tone; Meditative Flow - Amrit Yoga; Yoga 101; Mindful Yoga and Meditation; Align and Refine; Release and Relax; Energy Flow; and Flow and Let Go.
46
Partnering with USF, Pose by Pose also offers an Adults over 50 class. Recently adding kids yoga to their list of offerings, with the help of her Jennifer’s eight year old daughter Megan, this class has really began to flourish. A born natural, Megan quite often assists her mother in teaching the classes and is able to bring a youthful perspective to yoga. Jennifer says, “Our program is based on the premise that ‘yoga is therapy’. We understand that every body is different and that the ‘one size fits all’ mentality has no place in yoga. We cultivate and adapt our yoga classes for the people in the room. Each class is specially designed to meet the needs of our members.” Cathy says, “It’s just nice and homey and warm and friendly. This is my fourth class, I’m just trying them all to see where I can fit in. I recently took a class with Emi - it’s like she read my mind. My shoulder and hips felt so relaxed and I felt 4 inches taller when I left here. After my class I feel myself smiling all day long, that’s what yoga does.” Pose by Pose Yoga is much more than just a studio. They are also a full yoga training facility, and teach those who wish to become yoga certified. Teaching Seniors The population of seniors looking to do yoga has grown significantly over the past few years. There are senior’s classes in most studios as well as assisted living homes. The challenge to a yoga teacher is that seniors come in all shapes, sizes and abilities. The Teaching Seniors classes will focus on a few stages of life, remembering that these stages can happen at all different ages. This class is offered in conjunction with an opportunity to intern in the
USF OLLI Program, a yoga program for Adults over 50. Each class will focus on teaching you the best way to deliver the benefits of yoga (asana and pranayama) appropriate to the student’s ability and comfort level. The actual structure of the classes may vary based on the student base, but a gentle class focused on increasing mobility, functionality as well as becoming comfortable in a yoga class is the main focus. Pose by Pose also offers monthly workshops, including workshops in meditation, chakra, heart opening, and various styles of yoga. Former informa-

tion or a list of upcoming workshops please visit www.PoseByPoseYoga.com. This month, Pose by Pose will be opening up a small shop within their studio, where guests can buy yoga-related items such as blocks and other props, mats, apparel, bracelets and accessories. Jennifer says, “We are a family and a community. We want you to feel welcome, which is why we offer you a place to sit, allowing you to relax before and after class. We have a break area where you can enjoy some hot tea before or after your yoga session. We don’t stack classes on top of each other because we want you to be able to take your time. Our teachers come early and stay late to make you feel comfortable.” “We come early and leave late not because we have to but because we want to,” adds instructor Emilianna. “This is our house as well. I want people to come in and feel the warmth, so our students can have the experience that this is what yoga really is. It’s about having support and forming a community.” Giving back to the community is very important to Jennifer, and when she is not busy at the studio, she and Megan volunteer at local preschool and elementary schools teaching the
fundamentals of yoga to the students. Together they have taught at St Thomas Aquinas, Genesis, and several other local schools. They have also volunteered at the Joshua House and The Spring. “It’s about being part of the community,” says Jennifer. “It’s about supporting the community that supports us.” Pose by Pose Yoga is located at 17761 Hunting Bow Circle in Lutz.
