Admission is free and will be open to the public from 1 p.m.- 8 p.m. Exhibitors from across Florida will bring hundreds of blooms to the show, competing for trophies and awards in more than 40 classes of home-grown roses, including hybrid teas, climbers, miniatures and Old Garden varieties. All entries will be judged by American Rose Society Judges. New this year will be four classes to have award selected by the public. Come purchase your Mother’s Day roses from the Tampa Rose Show. Born in Scotland, Annette’s fair Celtic skin, had given her trouble most of her life. “I had eczema and suffered from really dry skin,” says Annette. “ I had tried so many different products throughout my life and nothing really seemed to work. Hanh takes a very hands-on approach to running her restaurant. She says, “I am here all the time – this restaurant is very important to me. I am here to make sure everything is done right. If we wouldn’t eat it ourselves we won’t serve it. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and feel good knowing that what we serve is not only good, but good for you.” Hanh runs her restaurant with the help of her husband Luu, daughter Hien, and son Duc, who creates sushi on the weekends and makes all 30 of their unique sauces, which are freshly made at Hot Tuna. a diverse selection of masterpieces for every taste and palate. Hanh says, “Quite often when you have a group of people, there are one or two guests who don’t like or have never tried sushi. Because of this, we strive to offer many options, so people in your party aren’t feeling left with only sushi to choose from. We are more than just a sushi restaurant, we have lobster, steak, teriyaki bowls and other tasty entrées.” However, after seeing some of the spectacular sushi rolls, even if you aren’t a fan of sushi I have a feeling you might change your mind. Hot Tuna has so many different rolls to choose from, including those that even the pickiest of palates can enjoy! So even if you think you might not like sushi, I can almost guarantee you will find something that you’ll love. But, if I’m wrong, and sushi really isn’t your thing, not to worry, because as stated before they have plenty of other options to satiate your hunger! Their selection of appetizers alone is grandiose. From lettuce wraps, chicken wings, mussels and eggrolls to panko crusted crab cakes, crab Rangoon and steamed edamame, they offer a little bit of everything. On our previous visit my husband and I had their stuffed mushroom
caps – tempura button mushrooms stuffed with their signature spicy tuna mix and topped with garlic and a teriyaki drizzle. All I can say is wow – they were that good! The juicy mushrooms were perfectly complemented by the crunchy outer layer and the spicy tuna inside provided just the right amount of zing and flavor, which was enhanced by the sweetness of the teriyaki sauce. With a generous portion size, this appetizer is perfect for sharing, although as with ours, I’m sure it will be devoured in no time! Moving on to the entrees, the op-
