We continue to be educators with local medical schools trying to inspire the new generation of physicians so that they can continue to make a difference each and every day in their patients’ lives as well as in their community. “However, with budget cuts and a tough economy, and what we see every day in the news, it is difficult to continue to stay inspired and we hope that this award reminds all of us of how to feel good. Koizi Endless Hibachi & Sushi Eatery Opens in Grand Trinity Plaza All You Can Eat. One Price. Endless Possibilities. By Kim Thomas Koizi Endless Hibachi & Sushi Eatery recently opened in Trinity at the Grand Trinity Plaza on Little Road, and let me tell you, this is a must-try restaurant! Forget about what you think you know about all-you-can-eat restaurants because Koizi is an entirely different concept! If “all-you-can-eat” brings to mind heaps of food in trays served buffet-style – forget about it! Koizi is a full-service restaurant, where your food is cooked to order from the freshest, healthiest ingredients. At Koizi Endless Hibachi & Sushi Eatery, you’ll receive impeccable service, and can enjoy all-you-can-eat from the Hibachi grill, all-you-can-eat sushi rolls, or allyou-can-eat entrees – all for one low price! Dine-in prices are $9.95 for lunch (11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.), $17.95 for dinner (3:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.), and $15.95 on Sunday from noon until 9 p.m. Senior citizens enjoy a discount and pay only $14.95 for dinner every day. Koizi Endless Hibachi & Sushi Eatery opened in Trinity last month, making it the third location of this pop-

ular eatery to open in the Tampa Bay area. The first store opened in August of 2012 at The Pointe at Tampa Palms retail plaza, with the second location opening in Brandon in August 2014. The atmosphere at Koizi is lively, vibrant and exciting – and all it takes is one visit to see why this place is going to be a fast favorite in the area. Koizi makes it affordable for diners to explore the menu and experience a variety of items whether you sit at a hibachi table and watch your chef prepare your food, or whether you sit at a traditional table. And, hospitality is done right at Koizi! Everything is prepared fresh and made-to-order. You can order all-you-can-eat sushi rolls, even if your group of friends prefers endless hibachi – it is no problem to be seated together and everyone will have a delightful time exploring the delectable menu items. Koizi wants you to bring your appetite and fully enjoy yourself, but in an effort not to waste food, they ask that you only order what you can finish; a surcharge may be added to takehome items. Everything at Koizi tastes amazing so you probably will

want to try it all! One couple visits frequently and has worked out a system to try every single menu item – he started at the top left, she started at the top right and they are working their way down the menu, one delicious meal at a time! My mother and I have tried several of Koizi’s sushi rolls and they were so delicious that we didn’t even want to use our sauces! The Sexy Girl Roll was our favorite, comprised of spicy tuna, tempura shrimp, cucumber salad, spicy mayonnaise, eel sauce and roe – it is divine! Also delicious were the Christmas Roll and the Dancing Krab Roll. We also tried the tuna and salmon sashimi, which was perfectly prepared –

supremely fresh! I’ve also tried Koizi’s Mongolian Beef and Mango Chicken; both were so tasty that I want to be like the couple that keeps coming back until they’ve tried it all! The all-you-can-eat price does not include drinks, but look for coupons in Koizi’s ads in Neighborhood News & Lifestyles that are good for free drinks for up to four people who order the $9.95 all-you-can-eat lunch, and free domestic beer, house wine or sake for up to four dinner orders at $17.95. Koizi Endless Hibachi & Sushi Eatery is located at 4120 Little Road at the Grand Trinity Plaza in New Port Richey and can be reached at 727-376-1888.

People Who Love Massage Choose Albert Gill for his Therapeutic,Tranquil Touch By Julie Kanehl Massage has been used for centuries as a way to ease stress, anxiety and to increase circulation. With today’s technology and our understanding of massage, we know that the practice does a good deal more for the client than make them feel relaxed, although that’s still a top priority! Massage has been proven to lower blood pressure, release feel-good hormones, slow down a rapid heart and, as many athletes know, massages can reduce inflammation and relax tense muscles. So, we know the benefits of a massage, but where do you go to get one? How about staying in the comfort of your own home? Albert Gill is a professional, Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) who can be trusted to perform high quality massages where you feel the most at ease. Gill says, “The most important

thing is the welfare of the client. I want my clients to feel safe, know that my equipment is in good order, know that I use hypoallergenic products and that I am extremely interested in their health when I interview them.” Health is an important topic with Albert Gill, who knows what it’s like to need massage. He’s had muscle and joint pain for many years, and knows how massage can make a difference in people’s lives. In fact, his journey to become a LMT began when a friend of his offered him a complimentary massage, as she was qualifying for her licensing test. Eager to ease the pain in his back, he was impressed by the difference that massage made. A few years later, he had the opportunity to “sit in” on a class at a local massage school in Orlando, and he realized that he definitely wanted to take more classes. He enrolled right away and became a LMT, and he truly enjoys

taking many continuing education units, because he says, “You never stop learning!” Leaving a career in middle management, Gill created a comfortable, small business in Montverde in 2005 when a complimentary massage became an opportunity to rent space to offer massages. Mainly working on referrals, Gill enjoyed having a smaller practice. He said, “With a smaller practice, I found I could give a quality massage to those seeking, not only LMT Albert Gill brings therapeutic massage to therapeutic massage, but you at home. therapist to know if you have any heart issues, kidney issues, or if you’re on any blood thinners, for example. Gill is skilled in a wide variety of techniques and can apply them to different parts of the body for different results. Gill says, “Massage is a ‘complimentary alternative medicine’ or CAM profession.” Adding, “It is both therapeutic and relaxing, and it can help with inflammation, which is the body’s natural response to protect itself from danger, real or imaginary. Stressors like anger, fright, traffic, job changes, etcetera, these can cause trauma.” In addition to inflammation and stress, the body has a longer memory than the mind does. For example, you may have had many procedures or even surgeries over the years, and perhaps you’ve put them aside. But the body remembers. This is why on rainy days that knee injury pops up to say hello! Gill has worked with athletes to
ready them for a sport, and to cool them down afterwards to avoid muscle spasms, and has experience working with those who have lost limbs, using massage to ease phantom leg syndrome. Whether you’d like a massage for the simple fact that you’d enjoy the experience, or you have an acute need for massage for the purpose of wellness, Albert Gill can help. Gill says, “There are many different approaches to helping people with the use of massage, and many massage therapists, like myself, use an eclectic technique.” Gill is able to personalize each massage, and goes to every effort to make sure that his clients are comfortable. “With women clients, I invite them to have a friend or spouse in the room during the massage if they’d feel more comfortable.” Adding, “I enjoy helping people, whether I can help with those every day stressors to helping people with PTSD (Post Trau-

matic Stress Disorder).” There are many different massage options these days, known as modalities, from relaxation massages to cranio-sacral therapy for pain relief, manual lymphatic drainage (often used for cancer patients) and pregnancy massage. Massage is truly a gift that you can give to yourself. Gill says, “There are three things you should do after a massage! That’s drink water, drink water, and oh yes…Drink Water!” Albert Gill can come to you at your home, or office, and is often requested at local assisted living facilities.
If you are looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist who knows his stuff, choose Albert Gill, he comes to you! Albert Gill is a trusted, qualified professional that is licensed by the state of Florida. He earned his Certification from the National Certification board of Therapeutic Massage and Body Work from the Holistic Institute of Massage Therapy in Orlando. He also is a certified member of ABMP (Associated Body Work & Massage Professionals). His Florida license number is #MA46308. To make an appointment, call 727-389-8852.

Yes, you too can get your weekend back! While many people view cleaning services as a luxury, at the end of the day there’s nothing more valuable than your time. KleanSlate Professional Cleaning Services is here to give local residents and business owners a competitively priced service that provides the opportunity for you to enjoy more of the moments that truly matter. So, create a lifestyle through peace of mind, and leave the cleaning duty to KleanSlate! KleanSlate is an independently owed local business, based in Trinity and operated by Ana and Alan Woods. Ana’s many years in the cleaning industry, combined with Alan’s unique business background in financial planning prompted them to create an upscale business that they’ve put their hearts into. Community is important to them as well, and they were recent sponsors in a local golf tournament fundraiser for a local Christian School. Since opening, KleanSlate has developed an amazing reputation for being thorough, professional and courteous. Setting the bar high for themselves, they value each customer and put a lot of time and effort into making sure that each client is comfortable and completely happy with their services. Additionally, what sets them apart is their willingness to personally customize each cleaning service and their dedication to completing each job properly. Pasco County Public Transit: The Safe, Affordable Solution for Local Summer Travel By Julie Kanehl Have you ridden the bus lately? The Pasco County Public Transit (PCPT) is an incredible service that is provided for Pasco County residents by the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners. Taking the bus is a fantastic way to avoid the headaches of driving through busy traffic, it saves a lot of money, and it’s safe and convenient! In short, the bus is the smart way to travel this summer! What’s more, PCPT is offering discounts on their already low fares to qualifying residents, including seniors, veterans and students. In fact, the Summer Haul Pass is the perfect way for students to travel, offering unlimited travel from June 1st to August 31st for just $20. That’s fantastic, considering you can get Hudson Beach to the Shops at Wiregrass and everywhere in between! PCPT is a fixed
22
route transit system that operates 16 busses, running in both eastern and western parts of the county, and even into Tarpon Springs where riders can then travel on the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (Pinellas County’s public transit). While it’s easy to buy a one-daypass on the bus, the smarter way to ride the bus is to buy a 31-day-pass or a 20-ride-pass. If you think that you’re eligible for a discount, it’s important to sign up for your PCPT Reduced Fare Photo ID. This ID, which only costs $2.50, will cut the already affordable bus fare fees, in half. Bus passes are affordable and easy to purchase. If you’re just jumping on the bus for the day, one-way bus fare or one day passes can be purchased on any bus from the bus driver. Other pass options can be purchased in a variety of ways, including buying passes by mail, or by purchasing them from

any local county library, The PHSC bookstore (West campus), or at a PCPT office. The PCPT administrative office is located at 8620 Galen Wilson Blvd. in Port Richey with a satellite operations office in San Antonio. PCPT reports to the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners and is a Department under the Public Services Branch. In addition to passenger fares, funding for PCPT is primarily received through state and federal grants, with additional subsidies obtained through county ad valorem taxes. Having a public transit system like PCPT makes it possible to easily access all of the wonderful and important places in Pasco County, from hospitals and restaurants along main thoroughfares, to malls, movie theaters, beaches

and more. Pasco County has so much to offer, and the public transit makes it affordable, reliable and stress-free! Accessibility is the name of the game, and PCPT has you covered! That’s right, and they’ve been making sure that you are truly “covered” by providing additional shelters at bus stops all over the county, protecting their riders from afternoon showers and Florida’s hot sun. Another fun fact: All of the shelters on the PCPT route have solar powered lights and meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. Offering amenities such as bike racks and wheel chair accessibility, the goal of PCPT is to help people save money by providing safe, dependable transit services as well as providing the opportunity for

independence and increasing flexibility for many people who are without their own, personal transportation. If you use PCPT to get to and from work at least two days a week, you are eligible to register for the Emergency Ride Home Program. This program guarantees you a ride home for family emergencies, personal illness, or unscheduled overtime. Just check on-line at http://www.tbarta.com/en/erh/co mmuter/emergency-ride-home for more information. PCPT also offers what’s called the Paratransit system, which provides door-to-door public transportation for a very small fee. The Paratransit system is the answer for people who suffer from a verifiable disability that prevents them from reaching a bus stop, as well as people who cannot reach a bus stop due to distance or an environmental barrier. Personal care attendants ride for free on the Paratransit system, and this kind of transportation may be provided once the individual is qualified and registered and makes a reservation. Demand response service is also provided to the mobility impaired and the transportation disadvantaged through the PCPT Paratransit service.
PCPT is Ready When You Are! Offering an impressive schedule of routes and riding Monday-Saturday from the wee-hours until after dark, PCPT has a reliable system of busses that will get you to your destination safely. Rain or shine, you can depend on PCPT to be there when you need them. Additionally, in the event of a severe weather event such as a tropical storm or hurricane, PCPT works with the Pasco County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to assist with the important task of evacuation by providing transportation to designated shelters in the area. As Pasco County grows, it’s important that residents know that they can continue to depend on their public transportation. PCPT will be growing with the population, and will continue to provide reliable, safe, high quality transportation to residents all across the county. To find out more about Pasco County Public Transit, please call (727) 834-3322 or (813) 2356073 or visit their website at www.ridepcpt.com. You can view maps of all the PCPT routes online as well. All the flavor at our restaurant comes from fresh ingredients, spices, herbs and vegetables.” For the Love of Sushi! It seems as if a lot of restaurants add sushi to the menu because, well, people just love sushi! At Bangkok

If you ask customers, Grade-A sushi is what you will always get at Bangkok Sushi. Michael from Tampa says, “I was with a coworker when I visited and figured we could dodge in and grab a couple sushi rolls. Considering it was decorated mainly in Thai decor, I was skeptical about the sushi...many restaurants try to add a sushi bar, but don’t always do sushi well, but I was pleasantly surprised at the sushi selection. The sushi is really well prepared, the ingredients fresh and the staff were wonderful. We had

Ziona Kopelovich, ESQ, a Skilled Bankruptcy Attorney Who Cares By Julie Kanehl When you’re facing hard times, it can be overwhelming at best. That’s why it is so important to choose a lawyer that specializes in bankruptcy law, someone who is certified in bankruptcy law, someone who knows the fine print of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13, and someone who understands that it can happen to anyone. Ziona Kopelovich, ESQ, is a board certified bankruptcy attorney who is skilled at debt negotiation, foreclosures, mortgage modifications, liens, and of course the protection of your assets. At the end of the day, for a family facing bankruptcy, Ziona Kopelovich and The Debt Relief Offices of Tampa Bay will be there to help guide you through the process and remind you that you that things will be alright in the end. Florida ranks as one of the highest percentages in the country for bankruptcy, which means it’s important to know that you’re not alone. Thousands of people face bankruptcy each year, and while there is no easy, quick fix, there are ways to know that you will be back on your feet with good guidance and with time.
36
For many, the economy’s ups and downs over the last 15 years have put a strain on their income, their mortgages and their lives. For others, loss of jobs, illnesses, divorce, gambling, improper spending or other stressful situations have been the cause of financial distress. Whatever the cause, Federal law as well as state law contains protection from creditors or “exemptions” that can help you keep what is yours while going through the bankruptcy process. Ziona Kopelovich, ESQ. is a gogetter. Practicing law in Florida for more than 20 years, Kopelovich is certified by American Board of Certification in Consumer Bankruptcy Law. A graduate of Stetson University, College of Law, she was admitted into the practice of law in 1989 and began practicing Consumer Bankruptcy in 1996. Kopelovich got into this field because she truly enjoys helping people, she knows what it’s like to be a single parent, and she shows empathy and compassion to her clients. In addition to providing personalized legal advice, Kopelovich also hosts the “Debt Relief Radio Show” on WWJB AM radio, which can be heard bi-weekly, or on The Debt Re-

lief Offices of Tampa Bay website. Kopelovich says, “I specialize in rearranging people’s lives and making the things that seem impossible, possible.” Adding, “Many people look at bankruptcy with a stigma, but the laws are there to help people. There is help for the honest but misfortunate debtor.” Knowing the Laws: Chapter 7 & Chapter 13 Chapter 7 Bankruptcy is for people whose household income is below the median income in Florida. Thus, if your household income is at or below the median income, and you are unable to pay your debts, you may become eligible for Chapter 7. In 2005, many revisions were made to the Federal bankruptcy laws, and that means that people who want to qualify for bankruptcy must submit to a “means test,” which will determine whether or not they qualify. The second question that must be determined is to be sure that your assets are not more than what the law will protect. In other words, neither your assets nor your income can be too high to qualify. Chapter 7 is for people who have very few assets and very little money.
JUNE 2015
Ziona Kopelovich, ESQ Chapter 13 is a totally different animal, as they say, because Chapter 13 is for wage earners, people whose income is above the median line, but are still unable to pay their debts. For many people who are trying to save their home from foreclosure, or who have IRS debt or outstanding credit card, student loans or medical debts, filing under Chapter 13 allows for people to get back on their feet in a matter of a few years. In some cases, Ms. Kopelovich can get your second mortgage to be stripped away, so that all you have to pay in order to
Trinity Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles
keep your home, is your first mortgage! By no means is bankruptcy an “easy way out”, but it can help people get back on their feet, and see that there truly is a light at the end of the tunnel. Attorney Kopelovich has experience navigating the petition filing process, and in a collaborative effort can help you to see that there is life after bankruptcy. Helping with Mortgage Modification, “Automatic Stay” and Debt Negotiation Mortgage modification is a government plan to help people keep their homes. The Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP®) was created to provide relief to those people who meet the qualifications. Additionally, if you’re being harassed by creditors, or are feeling afraid to go to the mailbox, she can assist you by filing a petition for relief and thereby imposing what is called “Automatic Stay.” Automatic Stay stops creditors from calling you or pursuing legal action against you to collect a debt during the bankruptcy process. According to her website, “if a lawsuit has been filed, all further efforts under the lawsuit are suspended while the bankruptcy proceeding is in process. This includes foreclosure proceedings, re-
possession and civil lawsuits.” If you are in debt, but want to avoid filing for bankruptcy, The Debt Relief Offices of Tampa Bay can help you with debt negotiation. During debt negotiation, Kopelovich will negotiate with the credit card or billing company to see if they will accept a reduced payment of your debt. The idea is to pay them an agreed upon lump sum that will satisfy your liability with that company. Sometimes they have been able to negotiate deals on behalf of their clients to pay as little as a quarter of what was owed. While that is not the norm, Kopelovich and her staff will do their best to help you get out of debt and learn the tools to stay out of debt in the future. Kopelovich says, “We try to get the best result for our clients, and we help you with tools to get reorganized. At the end of the day it’s about income versus expenses and assets vs. liability.” Adding, “When we meet clients for the first time, they often come looking so worried. I jokingly call myself a “Respiration Therapist” because when I explain how I can help, they start to breathe again!” If you’re looking for personalized attention from a lawyer who understands the stress and anxiety that can come with debt and financial dis-

The Red Cross Needs YOU Do you know what your American Red Cross does? I'll bet you are nodding your head – you think you do. Everyone thinks of the Red Cross as the big disaster people – hurricanes, floods, and tornadoes – especially here in Florida where we get all three. It is what you see on television, whenever there is a big crisis. They are at every major disaster before the TV cameras arrive, and long after they are gone to help feed and shelter those who have lost everything. They give hugs. They give hope. They help communities endure. But the biggest disaster they respond to is not a tornado, flood or hurricane. It's not a man-made disaster like a train derailment or a plane crash. More than 90% of the disasters they respond to are local home fires right here in our community every day. On average here in Tampa Bay there is a home fire nearly every single night – about 350 per year. To the family that loses everything that night it's a big disaster – one of the worst days of their lives – and the Red Cross is there.
38
When a family loses their home and has no place to go, the fire department calls the Red Cross, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Volunteers from the Red Cross respond immediately, having a continuous commitment to be on scene within 2 hours. They verify the situation and take care of the family's needs, making sure they have a roof over their heads that night, that they have food and clothing, that the kids are ready to go to school the next day. Nurses are on call that can help replace medications and eyeglasses, and the Red Cross gives a small toy to the child who lost all of their cherished belongings and needs something soft to cuddle; but that's just the beginning. In the days and weeks that follow, trained Red Cross volunteer caseworkers help that family on their road to recovery; making sure they aren't alone; making sure they have access to every community resource available. Unless you've been in the unfortunate circumstance to suffer a house fire you probably don't know that's what keeps our local Red Cross volunteers busy every day.

More than 90% of the disasters the local American Red Cross responds to are home fires. On average, there are approximately 350 home fires per year in the Tampa Bay Area and the Red Cross is there to help every time! Over 90% of the work done by the Red Cross is done by volunteers. These special people make a difference in someone’s life every day. Volunteers like Lisa, who tells the story of one of the fires she responded to: “ I was called to the scene of a burning house at 8:30 one night. daughter’s phone number to call for her – but her daughter was in Ohio. It would take some time for her to get to Tampa. The Red Cross is a support system, a safety net. We were able to put her in a hotel for 3 nights, and help her with other immediate needs until her daughter was able to come down. It was important to stay in constant touch with her – she needed our support system. She could have been my mother, my grandmother. I could only imagine how grateful I would have been for Red Cross volunteers. Her relief at seeing us and knowing she would be safe was palpable. And her hugs and thanks gave more back to us as volunteers than we ever imagined. I love my work with the Red Cross.” This amazing organization has hundreds of wonderful volunteers just like Lisa who want to give back to their community. But, the Red Cross desperately needs more. In addition to responding to house fires they're helping their community get prepared- installing smoke alarms and teaching kids how to be ready for disasters. They are deep in plan-
ning for the upcoming hurricane season that begins in just a few weeks and are training volunteers in logistics and sheltering, etc. Many of their volunteer jobs are yet to be filled this season and they need your passion for helping others to help make a difference. Whether you have 20 hours a week to give, or just 2, won't you consider joining this group of caring and compassionate people? To learn more about Red Cross volunteer opportunities in your local community please visit them for an Open House on Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at their Tampa office, located at 3310 W. Main Street, or contact (813)-348-4820 or Margaret.brown@redcross.org for more information.

“J & C Consign” Continued from page 1 by a local artis are lovely by themselves but would look so awesome massed together on a wall! Fun and inexpensive items are abundant, such as handpainted wine glasses and photo frames (worth checking out if you need a gift for a graduate going to UF or FSU), insulated cups and so much more! Since my last visit, owner Christine Jackson has added even more artisan crafted merchandise. I love the beautiful horsehair pottery they now have available. Each piece is a one-ofa-kind and the colors are simply beautiful. J & C Consign and Design even has handcrafted gift bags and cards.
Let’s Talk Furniture! J & C Consign and Design specializes in new and “like new” high end furniture and home décor. Some of the brands you’ll find are Lane, Thomasville, Bernhardt, Vanguard, Ethan Allen, West Elm, Stanford and Stanley. Literally every time I go to this store, I find something to add beauty and function to my home. So far I’ve lucked out in finding pen and pencil framed artwork, an antique

Find giftware and house decor handmade by local artisans - from wallhangings, to frames, horse hair pottery & more! rosewood table, a fireplace screen, a wrought iron bed, and on my last visit I purchased a duo of timeless side chairs that are in near perfect condition! I saw those chairs and knew that it was an “act now and act fast” situation if I wanted them because they are excellent quality and I know the price I paid is a fraction of what the original owner paid for

With such high quality furniture at greatly discounted prices, people are finding out about this gem of a store and most customers are like me – they keep going back because you never

know what J & C will have gotten in. I spied some great pieces on my last visit – a brand new farm-style dining table, a brand new tall back loveseat that makes a statement all on its own, and a gorgeous wooden and leather upholstered bench (also new). There are some great desks – both feminine and masculine. From side tables and chairs, to bedroom sets, chests, and

quality furniture and home accents including lighting. There are light fixtures and chandeliers available at greatly discounted prices. I saw a threesome of new pendant droplights which looked antique yet modern and made me wish I had a bar to hang them over – trust me, they won’t last long! If you are interested in consigning, J & C Consign and Design takes very gently used high end furniture and home décor in “like new” condition. Christine and store manager Candy are very particular about what items they will carry, but that is what makes the store so awesome – everything is in excellent, saleable condi-

“Central Park” Continued from page 1 available to say hello to diners. Stop by Central Park and you’ll find Chris Michael busy with every aspect of the restaurant – he oversees everything and is in and out of the kitchen and running food, but he always finds the time to let diners know that they truly matter. Likewise, his customers know that he is a devoted husband and father with a young family growing up here, and they often share stories of their own with him. Chris carries on his family’s Greek traditions by treating guests like family and delivering consistently delicious food each and every time. The Michael family opened their first Florida-based restaurant in 1991, but they have been in the restaurant business for more than forty years! Recently, Chris’s brother Charlie joined Chris at Central Park Family Restaurant to expand their catering menu. Following the lead of their father Andy, Chris and his family have expanded their restaurants throughout Tampa Bay from The Square Plate in Pinellas Park to the two Central Park
Delicious for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Central Park Family Restaurant is favored for its consistently delicious food, friendly atmosphere, and service with a smile! Family Restaurant locations in New Port Richey and Temple Terrace. There is no doubt about it; the Michaels family knows what they’re doing when it comes to great food
and customer satisfaction! Most folks in the area already know this restaurant, but there are still a few who are finding it for the first time, like Joseph Marrero, who said, “Seriously the best French Toast I have ever had. Both times we were there, Chris (I believe that was his name, he appears to be the owner or manager) knew almost everyone
by name and was giving the most amazingly personal service to everyone. This place is amazing and I can’t believe we didn’t know about it until now. My wife and I will definitely be back many, many times to Central Park.” Central Park Family Restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, so you can always
get your Central Park fix! The breakfast menu is huge and served all day, everyday. And when I say huge, I mean gigantic! For breakfast, you can choose from over 65 omelets! All are made with three extra large farm fresh eggs, or can be made with Egg Beaters upon request. Each omelet is served with toast and your choice of home fries, hash browns or grits. My favorite is the Spinach Omelet with a bit of feta cheese added in and a hearty side of bacon! Lunch and dinner choices can be summed up, “a whole lotta food with
a whole lotta taste!” From appetizers like Greek flaming fried cheese to fresh homemade soups that are made inhouse daily, and over 27 different salads with hundreds of combinations, the biggest burgers around and Mediterranean dinner plates, there is no way you will leave Central Park Family Restaurant unsatisfied. I recently dined in for lunch at Central Park Family Restaurant and decided to try one of their specials – the Sweet Heat Volcano Burger for $8.99 was a half-pound of all-natural beef patty cooked to order and topped
Trinity Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles
with grilled ham, brie cheese, pineapple slices, spicy Siracha BBQ sauce, spinach and fried onions – and like all of Central Park’s burgers, it was delicious and truly a big mouth burger for a biggest of appetites! Traditional Greek dinner specialties include Pork Chops Athena, Spanakopita, Gyro Platters and Souvlakis Galore. A favored item is the King Maximus Greek Platter which has fresh gyro sliced off the cone, marinated chicken souvlaki, spinach pie, pita bread and your choice of rice or fries, and don’t forget the tzatziki sauce! Italian dinner specials boast the best Chicken Parmesan around, as well as Lasagna that is served with a housemade soup or salad of your choice. In addition to Greek and Italian specialties, you’ve got to taste the famous home-style cuisine offered for dinner at Central Park. From New York strip steaks to delicious pierogies
and kielbasa served Polish style, Central Park is a smorgasbord of flavors – just like you’d find a hopping diner in New York City. Central Park Family Restaurant is just like New York in a lot of ways – diverse, tasteful and full of people! You will enjoy whatever you choose to dig into and remember that I told you to bring your appetite; don’t say I didn’t warn you! Every menu item is unique and has a story. Chris invites you to bring your family and join his to become a part of Central Park Family Restaurant’s story. The Central Park Family Restaurant is located at 7657 S.R. 54 in New Port Richey and is open 7 days a week, 6:30 a.m.–8 p.m. For more information, to order takeout or ask about catering, call {727} 376-7402 or visit online at CentralParkFamilyRestaurant.com where you can view the entire menu.
