AnyCarUSA, Revolutionizing the Way to Buy Cars By Julie Kanehl AnyCarUSA is revolutionizing the way you buy or lease cars by keeping it simple, eliminating the need to haggle, and by having a sales staff that doesn’t work on commissions. Instead, what you get is a team of people who are dedicated to helping you find the right car for you, and if it’s not on in stock, they’ll help you find the car that you want. It’s that straight forward. No gimmicks, no hassles, and no dealership fees. It’s a back to basics approach, whether you’re looking for a brand new vehicle or a certified pre-owned one, AnyCarUSA is the newer, smarter way to buy a car, truck or SUV. Offering everything that you would get at a larger dealership, but with a personal approach, you’ll appreciate the difference in the way that AnyCarUSA conducts business. Located at 2510 Merchant Avenue in Odessa (Trinity), in the West Pasco Industrial Park, AnyCarUSA has a 10,000 sq. ft. showroom and an amazing selection of pre-owned vehicles to choose from. Of course, at AnyCarUSA, customers get the added perk of knowing that they’ll find you any vehicle that
14
you’d like to own, and bring it in for you. Want a 2010 or newer Jeep Wrangler for a certain price? No problem! Looking for a recent year Mercedes Benz that’s still under warranty? They can get it for you! Owned by husband and wife team, Daryk and Tina LeVasseur, AnyCarUSA is a family owned dealership that values your business. Daryk grew up in the car industry working at his father’s dealership, and then decided to go into the business on his own. In fact, his personal approach and his customer service lead people to want to work with Daryk even when they wanted a car outside of the realm of the dealership where he worked! His passion became helping people find the exact car that they wanted at a fair price, and AnyCarUSA was born. Celebrating 5 years at this location, AnyCarUSA is the answer to the problem and hassle of buying cars the traditional way. Daryk says, “We offer an easy, laid back way to buy a car. We have around 70 pre-owned vehicles on our lot, most of them are still under warranty, and we welcome people to browse the lot without feeling pressured.” He adds,

little ones to play, watch TV and have a snack while the paperwork is done, although that never takes very long. Andy Allshouse said, “The paperwork and financing usually takes 35 minutes or less!” If you are looking to have your windows tinted or your car detailed, AnyCarUSA also has a detailing department lead by Mike Zembellas, Tina’s brother. Mike can have your car looking as good as new in no time! Donna, a customer of AnyCarUSA said, “I came across this company while shopping on Truecar. I reviewed several possibilities with my credit union rep. He suggested I see this one first due to the price, year, mileage and condition. I verified a clean CarMax report as well. I requested and Andy pulled the BBook value for me and their listing was under BB and TrueCar. The car sold itself. No sales pressure and extremely easy to work with.” AnyCarUSA Can Find the Pre-Owned Vehicle You’ve Been Dreaming Of! If you’re in the market for a preowned vehicle, you no longer have to be at the mercy of whatever’s been brought in this month at the local dealership. AnyCarUSA can find you the
exact car you’re looking for by searching auctions anywhere in the USA! Sounds great, right? With no obligation to buy, they can send you all of the specs, and bring it in for you to test drive before you make a decision. It’s a revolutionary way to buy the exact car that you want, without having to settle for less. Val said, “I am 53 years old and have purchased countless automobiles and motorcycles throughout my life. This experience was hands down the easiest most seamless way to purchase a fine, ultra-luxury supercar. I was in and out within two hours and the Mercedes S600 was everything -and more than what- they had described. Daryk and Andy were awesome to work with.” AnyCarUSA has partnered nationally with Goodyear to ensure that
each car on their lot has completed a 120-point inspection, including the tires, the oil and fluids. They’ve taken every step imaginable to make sure that customers have all the information to make an informed and affordable decision. One customer said, “Our objective was to select the car that best suited my needs and ANYCARUSA did the rest. I wanted the Chevy Cruze with the Gold Mist Metallic color. Instead of traipsing dealer to dealer for the best price, we gave Daryk the information and he did the rest. Upon getting the best price, the car was delivered with the necessary paperwork to our door right on time. Service during this transaction was over the top! I recommend AnyCarUSA to everyone we meet. Love my car!” Trading a car at AnyCarUSA is a breeze as well. Daryk says, “We offer fair values for trades, we give an honest appraisal for what cars are going for at auction. There’s no reason to make it complicated! There’s no smoke and mirrors here. We’re honest, we’re not feeding you a line or telling you a story. We’re just a family company who wants to take all of the hassle out of car buying.” In the Market for a New Car? Buy it the AnyCarUSA Way! If you’re in the market for a new car, AnyCarUSA can help get you the best deal! For example, if you know
Trinity Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles
you want a brand new SUV for $25,000, AnyCarUSA can offer you more than what’s on the lot of one particular dealership. quickly and efficiently to make your landscape the prettiest on the block. It is difficult to know what will grow well and where, so instead of potentially costly trial-and-error planting, it’s best to take the guesswork out with Allpro Tree and Landscaping. Allpro uses a CAD program that actually shows pictures of what future landscape projects will look like.
Reviews from Angie’s List “Allpro was wonderful. Their crew worked like a well-oiled machine and were done with the entire job in less than 3 hours. They cleaned up and left the area nicely picked up. I was very pleased with the quality of the sod as in the past I have not gotten such high quality product. I

would recommend this company to anyone needing any landscape needs. Excellent job!!” Another Angie’s List reviewer for Allpro Tree and Landscaping states, “Arrived promptly, got the job done & cleaned up well. Dead tree was in the middle of a flower bed which they managed to work around without damaging flowers. Were in the middle of the road price-wise, but couldn’t be happier with the job they did. Would recommend & would also use Pete & his crew again.” This review comes from one of Allpro Tree and Landscaping’s repeat customers: “This is my second interaction with AllPro. Pete immediately came out to provide an estimate. We discussed a rough time frame to have the work done. Once I was ready, Pete responded immediately. He was able to fit me in the schedule much sooner than I expected or planned. The work was done magnificently as usual. The best thing about them is their work ethic. When you call, they respond very quickly and always get back to you. This is a top notch A++ provider. Keep up the great work. I would use them again and again, and would highly recommend to anyone.” Timeliness is import and Allpro’s reviews repeatedly praise the
company’s response and efficiency. “Pete arrived at the time expected, and had all the necessary paperwork to show he and his crew were covered with liability insurance and workmen's compensation as well. His crew were polite, competent, worked well together, and did an excellent job of cutting what needed cutting, and leaving the trees looking healthy and balanced. The clean-up was excellent as well. They met all of our requirements and expectations, and I've already recommended them to a neighbor. We would certainly hire them again.” “I met with Pete, the owner, on Friday afternoon to go over the work I needed. He quoted a fair &

I’m happy to be able to recommend a local business.” “We love the landscaping design Allpro provided and installed. Pete and his crew did an amazing job. He was quick to provide us with a quote and then worked with other companies that we had scheduled (fence install and irrigation company) to make sure they were all completed in conjunction with each other. We will definitely be using them in the future for any additional landscaping needs.” Allpro Tree and Landscape is committed to providing customers with quality service that earns referrals. For Experience, Technology & Discretion in Medicine, Choose Urology Professionals By Julie Kanehl When choosing an urologist, there are a lot of things to think about, from choosing a doctor with an excellent background and many years of experience, to finding a facility complete with state-of-the-art technology that can help detect areas of concern quickly. Urology Professionals leads the way in technology, experience, and patient care while addressing a wide range of urology problems professionally, discretely and tactfully. Juan N. Otheguy, M.D., F.A.C.S. and Richard I. Rabinowitz, M.D., F.A.C.S. are Board Certified physicians with more than thirty years of combined experience serving our community. Just this year, Urology Professionals opened a brand new medical office in Trinity at 2075 Little Road at the Premier Medical Center near J.W. Mitchell High School. Complete with up-to-the-minute technology that Dr. Otheguy and Dr. Rabinowitz insist on having for their patients, Urology Professionals also took the opportunity to make the new environmentally friendly practice energy efficient, using solar energy to meet seventy percent of their power requirements. While Urology Professionals’ facility leads the way in energy efficiency, it’s what happens inside their office that makes a difference in the lives of the patients they see every day. Offering in-office imaging, including
22
ultrasound, a small lab, and the ability to perform procedures like cystoscopies, nerve stimulation for overactive bladders, and more, the Urology Professionals are ready to listen, diagnose and treat their patients. The doctors at Urology Professionals are dedicated physicians whose goal was to create a practice that would allow them to spend more time with their patients, while facilitating an environment that was both patient-friendly and also conducive to allowing the physicians to easily confer with each other to best manage each patient’s care. Dr. Rabinowitz said, “We don’t have physician’s assistants or nurse practitioners here. Ninety-nine percent of the time, patients are seen by us. We are much more directly involved with our patients, and we collaborate and work together regularly.” Urology is a growing field, and not because the problems are new, but because the subject matter is less taboo than it was decades ago. Thankfully, there’s no need to suffer in silence. In fact, there’s no need to suffer at all when Dr. Otheguy and Dr. Rabinowitz are easily accessible at their new office in Trinity. Make an appointment today and meet the Urology Professionals. Choose Urology Professionals for experienced, state-of-the-art medical care. Hours are: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment, visit www.UrologyProfessionals.com or call 727-375-5520.

Inspired Design Hair Studio Welcomes New Owner Pam French By Kim Thomas Inspired Design Hair Studio has a new owner who is lovely, friendly and extremely talented, and better yet, Pam French will keep the whole team together! In fact, Pam said, “I feel like I am becoming family in a family business.” Located at 9945 Trinity Boulevard, Inspired Design Hair Studio is well known and loved by many in the community who cherish the personal attention and the warm welcome they always have received in the salon, where most of the stylists are family. Opened by Jesse and Eileen Karzon in 2009, Inspired Design has always very much been a family business, where their daughter Hannah and daughter-in-law Taylor are both hairstylists. When Jesse and Eileen decided to take more time for family, their search began in earnest for the right person to come in, take ownership of the salon, and keep the amazing team intact. It isn’t easy to turn over the keys to just anyone in a family business that you’ve put your heart into, and that you will still work for. Jesse’s clients don’t have to panic because he still works every Wednesday and Friday at Inspired Design. Coincidentally, while the Karzons were looking for a key person, Pam French, who has owned two salons during her 36-year career, was looking for a new salon to call home – somewhere her clients could easily find her, where she could easily visit her happy place at Walt Disney World, and where she could stay until she retires. Both the Karzons and Pam French have a strong faith in God, and there were definitely heartfelt prayers from both parties – one looking for a place to land and call home, and the others looking for the right person to bring

Jesse and Eileen Karzon, the previous owners of Inspired Design Hair Studio in Trinity, hand over the key to new owner Pam French into their carefully feathered nest. “I found them on Redken.com,” said Pam, who worked for Jesse and Eileen for just a year-and-a-half before they all agreed that this was a win-win for all involved. Pam’s warmth and enthusiasm has been wonderful at Inspired Design. Highly educated in Redken and using the company’s products for her entire career, Pam admits that when she came to Inspired Design and found that they used Rusk for color, both she and her clients were a bit apprehensive. Now, after experiencing her clients loving the color line, she loves Rusk. “The longevity of Rusk color line is awesome. They are pure tone colors which make my box of crayons that much better, and because of the smaller size of the dye molecule, my reds now last much longer.” Pam loves the Advanced Marine Technology utilized by Rusk and said, “It creates this amazing shine that won me over! I am so extremely picky being an educator, and my desire for science combined with my love for art makes me want to bring the clients at my salon the very best products on the market.” Having an intense

knowledge of Redken products, and having worked with Rusk for the past two years, Pam keeps the retail shelves at Inspired Design stocked with the products that work best for each specific styling need. Jesse’s fans, don’t forget, he is still there on Wednesdays and Fridays, and new to join the existing team of Pam, Jesse, Hannah and Taylor are stylists Angela and Maria. Both Jesse and Pam have worked as platform artists for European companies – Jesse was with Loreal, and Pam with Graham

Do You Have What It Takes to Race to Escape? By Julie Kanehl The clock is ticking, time is running out and the fate of the entire world is in your hands. You’re in a race against time, and all you have is your experience and a couple of your teammates. Will you solve the puzzles and get the clues before the clock stops ticking? Will you win the Race to Escape? No, this isn’t the latest episode of a reality television show, this is the hottest thing to do in town – exciting, fun and totally different than anything you’ve ever done before. If you’re not sure what an escape room experience is, you’re not alone! It’s a new concept in entertainment. Race to Escape sits somewhere between improv theater and Dungeons and Dragons, where one minute you’re you, and the next minute you’re immersed in a scene from a movie. This time, you and your friends are the main characters, and unless you work together, there’s no telling how things will play out in the end! The goal is to find the clues, solve the mystery and save the day
34
before the time runs out. Race to Escape is located at 2435 US Highway 19 N. Suite 101 in the Holiday Tower, and is convenient to all of Tampa Bay. Voted the #1 Escape Room Experience in Pinellas and Pasco Counties, the concept of an escape room is up and coming. This incredible immersive experience is taking dates, birthday parties, and group and even corporate events to the next level, and that’s the whole idea. They’ve had everyone from Girl Scouts to local law enforcement at Race to Escape, and everyone has had a great time. If you’re ready to escape the norm and do something really fun for a change, Race to Escape!
Four Escape Room Scenarios! Which Will You Choose? There are four escape room experiences at Race to Escape, and each one has its own difficulty level, theme and challenges. Each one is unique, and needs to be completed as a small group. Some rooms can be solved with as little as two people and others can be solved by up to six.

One of two rooms of the Biohazard experience Everyone must work together, which can be part of the challenge and part of the fun all at the same time! Each escape room experience takes about an hour and a half to complete, and it all starts with a short video that

briefs you and your group, and helps you understand the scenario that you are about to enter. Once inside your escape room, you’ll only have one hour to complete the task at hand! Afterwards, you’ll have the

opportunity to take some pictures using props from your escape room. Trust me, they’ll be social media worthy. One customer said, “My family and I visited this past weekend. We have never done an escape room before. We had so much fun with Sherlock Holmes we came back the next day and did another room! I would highly recommend this fun, interactive experience. The owners were wonderful!” Race to Escape is just one of the LLCs owned and operated by Shawn Peterson, an entrepreneur who just happens to be going to school to become a Pharmacist. Together with his father, Rocket Scientist, Dr. Keith Peterson, Race to Escape is a way for the family to work together and have fun at the same time. Creating each complex Race to Escape scenario themselves – which is no easy task – they have enjoyed introducing customers to this new type of entertainment! James tried Race to Escape and said, “We had a great time. The owners were super friendly and made sure everyone had fun. We definitely plan to do this again.”
Save the USA from a Terrorist Attack in “White House Down” In this scenario, your group of four to six people is given the nearly impossible task of saving The United States of America from a nuclear airstrike. A terrorist organization has infiltrated the White House with the goal of attacking the USA with its own missiles. Millions of American lives are in danger. You are the only remaining group in The White House, and it’s up to you to save the nation. Are you up to the task?
Can You Solve Sherlock Holmes’ Final Case? Arguably the greatest detective in history, Sherlock Holmes is missing from 221 B Baker Street, and it’s up to the two to four of you to solve the murder mystery that has Scotland Yard baffled. There’s a serial killer on the loose; many lives have been taken. Have they killed Sherlock too? Can you find the clues that Sherlock left behind and save London from a mass murderer?
Can You Save Earth from an Extraterrestrial Invasion? One minute you and your group of two to four are taking an exciting
Trinity Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles
tour of Area 51, and the next minute everything has gone haywire! Alarms are blaring, people are panicking and an alien dies in your arms. The family of that particular alien is not very happy about that! Your job in this sequence is to save the planet from impending doom! Will you stop the aliens before the world, as we know it, is destroyed forever?
Biohazard: A Pandemic of Mass Proportions The stories you’ve heard are true. There’s a terrible disease sweeping the globe that turns people into flesh-eating zombies. Billions of lives have been lost, and your group, four to six people, is comprised of the last remaining scientists in the World Health Organization. Will your team develop a cure to this devastating virus in time or will you become zombies yourselves?
One of the two rooms of the White House Down experience
Race in Now and Save Money on your Race to Escape Experience! Right now, Race to Escape is offering special pricing and a free escape room experience on your birthday! A two-person escape experience is $35, a four-person escape experience is $70, and a six-person escape experience is just $99! That’s cheaper than going to the movies, and a lot more fun!
Escape the everyday, humdrum dinner and a movie, and come to Race to Escape for an experience you won’t soon forget! Race to Escape is located at 2435 US Highway 19 N, Suite 101 in Holiday, Florida. “Central Park” Continued from page 1 known. “Our customers are saying, ‘If you haven’t tried the wings yet, you don’t know what you’re missing!’ We are adding new sauces too,” says Chris. So what’s on the menu? So many choices that you could eat here every day for year and never run out of new things to try! The menu is a fusion of American, Italian, Greek, French, Spanish, Polish, German, and more – Chris calls it American fusion, but most people just call it delicious! Every day there are new specials. In fact, there are so many specials that Chris installed a large, flat-screen TV that continuously scrolls the day’s specials. Last time I was there, two caught my eye: Ballpark Sliders with a root beer float and Open Face Short Ribs of Beef over garlic toast. There were too many specials of the day to mention here but just reading that board gets your appetite going! There are northern favorites such as scrapple (a traditional mush of pork combined with cornmeal and wheat flour with spices) and the New Jersey Taylor pork roll, and southern

favorites like collard greens and fried chicken. Breakfast is served all day and there are choices for the sweetlovers and the meatlovers! Fluffy, delectable pancakes, and yummy waffles are divine! The hearty breakfast sandwiches and scrambles are belly pleasers, too. Along with the 65 different omelets to choose on the menu, the chef puts out a specialty omelet each week. And, breakfast is even better when enjoyed with a champagne mimosa! Kids and Canines - An Assistance Dog Training Program Believing in kids and empowering them to take control of their lives, one dog at a time, Kids and Canines unites at-risk students and dogs in their unique program that is truly making a difference in Tampa Bay community. Located on the Dorothy Thomas campus in Tampa, Kids and Canines was originally founded in 1998 with a grant from the Justice Department. The sole purpose of this program initially was to help truancy students, founded upon the belief that giving these kids the responsibility of training and caring for a dog would help to keep them in school - and it worked! When the grant was not renewed, the program was continued as a part of the school program at Dorothy Thomas, and the success rates have been through the roof! “The program has grown significantly since its inception,” says Jo Deck, Chairman of the Board for Kids and Canines. “We are now a 501(c)(3) organization, which we felt was necessary in order to be able to significantly grow the program.” Kids and Canines is an elective that students at Dorothy Thomas School can apply for. Jo says, “This is a class and our textbook is the dog.
44
There is an academic side, but the most important things that we teach include how to not only show love towards a dog, but how to love yourself. Through this, the students learn how to properly deal with anger management and self esteem issues. The kids that we see have very serious behavioral issues; many have dropped out of school and have some sort of social problems or personality disorder. Most are referred to Dorothy Thomas by either the school counselor or their own personal child counselor.” Once a student gets accepted into the program, they sign a contract, which holds them accountable for taking care of the dogs. They are taught how to train the dogs, as well as how to groom, feed, and properly care for them. This encourages the kids to come to school, and gives them a reason to show up, because they know their dog needs them, and if they don’t come, their dog won’t get the necessary attention it deserves. In addition to the obvious benefits, this program gives these children so much more! It teaches them unconditional love and gives them self worth, helping them to

build their self esteem and give them purpose in life. It teaches them the importance and power of education. These dogs need the kids just as much as the kids need the dogs. “The program has been a huge success, and the bond between the children and the dogs has proven to be enough to keep these at-risk kids in school,” says Jo. Student Esme, is just one of their many success stories. Jo says, “When she first came to us, Esme had such bad self esteem that she didn’t come to school for over a year. Working with the dogs and the bond she formed helped her learn unconditional love. She also learned acceptance without judgement; the dogs relied on her on a daily basis; they needed her. Esme is now an ace groomer and teaches grooming to other students in the program. She has been in program for over three years and is going to Gaither High School next year. Her goal is to one day be a Vet assistant. And actually, she was recently adopted and both of her parents are teachers at the Dorothy Thomas School. This has given Esme stability, love and acceptance in ways she has never had before. Esme has done an amazing job

of turning her life around!” Kids and Canines is helping to change the lives of these students; and it doesn’t end there! Not only has their program helped the students by giving them accountability, Jo Deck, Chairman companionship of the Board for Kids and Canines and purpose, but the dogs that they train go on to become service and therapy dogs for those in need. “It is a win-win situation,” says Jo. “This program not only benefits the kids, but it also benefits the person who gets the dog. The kids train the dogs with the hopes that their dog will go on and do even greater things in the community. Our dogs are trained to be service and therapy dogs and are placed with many different types of people, such as those suffering from
Trinity Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles
Parkinson’s, MS, or younger children with Autism.” Since its inception, Kids and Canines has placed 86 dogs throughout Tampa Bay and surrounding communities! Volunteers Wanted! Due to their rapid growth over the past few years, Kids and Canines is constantly looking for volunteers. Their biggest need is for puppy sitters. Jo says, “Being a puppy sitter is such a wonderful experience. As a puppy sitter you would temporarily look after a dog when a puppy raiser has to go out of town. We are also looking for puppy raisers. A puppy raiser is
someone who agrees to house the dog full time for 18-24 months as they are being trained. Everything is paid for food, vet bills, leashes etc. - and all you have to do is be able to drop them off every morning before school and pick them up after. Essentially it’s just like dropping your dog at day-care.” Donations and Sponsorships Needed Kids and Canines is doing so many great things for the community, but in order for them to continue doing what they are doing, they rely on generous donations and sponsorships from caring individuals who want to help make a difference. There are many different ways in which you can help. The first is simply making a donation. That can be done
Trinity Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles
on-line or by sending a donation directly to the program. There are different levels of giving that are outlined in their Sustainer Program, including a $5000 donation to sponsor and name a dog! You are able to follow the dog through its training and will receive reports as to the how your sponsored dog is doing, as well as progress pictures. With this, you have the ability to come visit the dog at any time. All donations made go to helping the at-risk children improve their lives. Jo says, “The current Board of Directors is a very active board and committed to the success of the Kids and Canines Program. They are focused on raising more funds and helping more at-risk students change their lives!” Kids and Canines is currently in desperate need of a van. Even having done a very successful fundraiser to raise funds for a new van, they have had difficulty finding the right van for the right price. Ideally, they need an 89 passenger van - preferably a Ford T150, or a van with specifications similar. If you can help or know someone who can help in this area, please call (813) 558-5406.
Kids and Canines Summer Camp Program June 21st, 27th, July 11, and July 18th Every summer Kids and Canines hosts a summer camp, providing them the opportunity to offer their services and training programs to the community. This program is completely open to the public and is for anyone, ages 10-16, who wants to learn how to properly care for a dog, including grooming, basic training skills, and arts and crafts activities that are dog related. The camp is held weekly, Mon. - Thurs. 9:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m. and is $225 per week; due to limited availability and high demand, campers can choose to enroll in a maximum of 2 of the 4 weeks. Week two is full; but all other weeks still have openings. For more information or to enroll, please call the office at (813) 558-5406. “Our primary focus is to change the lives of at-risk children,” says Jo. “We turn around lives every day. Our mission is: Believing In Kids * Empowering Lives * One Dog At A Time!” For more information about Kids and Canines please call (813) 558-5406, visit KidsandCanines.org or find them on Facebook.
