Don’t Let Summer Slip Away Without Play! From The Editor Kim Thomas When I visited Camping World to see the many RVs, fifth wheels and travel trailers, I had just returned from a family camping trip to Ginnie Springs, located about two-and-a-half hours north of Trinity in High Springs, Florida. One of the great things about living here in west central Florida is that there are so many different landscapes to explore within just a few hours. If you haven’t tried it, camping and RVing is a great way to get away from the madness of US 19 and to get you and your family away from their phones, computers and video games. When you go camping, you really don’t have a choice – you have to relax! In Florida, my family has camped as far south as Key West and north to the pristine beaches of St. George Island and Cape San Blas in Florida’s panhandle. But one of the best trips we ever took as a family was in an RV. Two weeks in an RV allowed us to explore Mammoth Hot Springs and Old Faithful in Yellowstone National
Park, see herds of elk and buffalo, swim in Bear Lake in Utah, and see the wondrous vistas of the Grand Canyon in Arizona and Bryce Canyon in Utah. It was a trip that my kids, now grown, still talk about years later. Looking around at all of the great gear at Camping World gave me the fever to go exploring again. But next time, I plan on being a bit more comfortable with some great gear from Camping World. My husband and I aren’t ready to retire yet, but I look forward to the day when we’ll have even more time to break out of our everyday life and explore the beautiful landscapes across America and after a trip in an RV, I think I could get used to the RV lifestyle! Whether you are camping or just going for a day trip, don’t let the rest of the summer slip away without get-

ting out and enjoying nature. We have some of the most beautiful beaches in the United States, and Florida’s clear rivers and springs offer the perfect getaway on hot summer days. Chassahowitzka Springs is perfect for a day trip. Just an hour north of Trinity, in Citrus County, there are several places along the Chassahowitzka river to rent canoes or kayaks. Growing up in Wakulla County, we swam in Wakulla Springs and the local limerock sinkholes every summer. I can tell you firsthand, a dip in a Florida spring on a hot summer day is simply thrilling!

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED Imagine being taken away from your home, not knowing where you will go, leaving behind your favorite things. Now, imagine this through the eyes of a child. There are more than 3,500 dependent children in Pinellas and Pasco counties in need due to child abuse, neglect or abandonment. Many of these children will need to live in a temporary foster home, but we simply cannot meet our growing need without more foster parents. When you open your heart and home to foster children, you open possibilities for them...you foster hope. Foster parents must be at least 21 years old, have appropriate housing, and pass a background screening. Then, you will need to complete a home study and 24-hours of special training called Professional Parenting. You must have adequate space and be able to provide for your family now—although you will receive financial assistance to help care for the child, you cannot rely on this to pay your bills. To be a foster parent, you can be single or married— have a family of your own or be an “empty-nester.” Eckerd Community Alternatives

Children in foster care didn’t ask to be abused or neglected. They didn’t ask to be removed from their homes, forced to change schools, or, in some cases, separated from their siblings. Today’s foster parents provide temporary care for children, but leave lifelong impressions on their lives. Local media Magic 94.9 and Fox 13 will broadcast live as local businesses and individuals share in the joy of giving; patients have a special visit from Santa, and volunteers help collect toy and monetary donations from community members. What are they raising funds for? Health care settings are often stressful and frightening experiences for children and families. Providing recreation, developmental play, and play therapy gives kids strategies for coping and bring a momentary escape from their illness. It is through generous community support, and events like Christmas in July, that St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital is able to provide these services that dramatically alter a child’s hospital experience. How do I get involved? There are several options for event involvement, including online team fundraising, corporate sponsorship, hosting

Camping World Opens Up A World of Travel and Exploring!
By Kim Thomas When was the last time you heard the soul-stirring symphony of the deep woods, or looked into a night sky that reveals the Milky Way? There is nothing better for reviving one’s spirit than to get away from the hustle of everyday life and experience just how green the grass is over that “fence” and beyond into the vast beauty of parks and scenic lookouts that are American treasures. Camping and road tripping in recreational vehicles (RVs) have been favored in America for more than a century. The invention of the automobile prompted adventurous individuals to immediately think of ways to modify their cars to be used for camping. The first RV debuted at Madison Square Garden in 1910 and featured a back seat that folded into a bed, a chamber pot toilet and a sink that folded down from the back of the chauffeur’s seat. The luxuries of home-on-the-road in 1910 look far different than they do today! Some of the RVs at Camping World (located at 2112 US 19 North in Holiday) are more like mobile luxury suites complete with sophisticated navigation systems, high-definition electronics, gas log fireplaces, luxurious cabinetry, leather seating, and even outdoor kitchens that will be the envy of the park! If you are like a lot of folks, though, you probably don’t live in a million dollar home, and you probably want a more affordable camper or RV – no worries! Camping World has a huge selection of campers, fifth wheels and recreational vehicles with price points for every customer.
10
In fact, for just $99 a month, you can embark on many new adventures in a new Coleman camper, which can sleep six and is perfect for your getaway. Camping World in Holiday is hard to miss with its huge inventory of RVs, fifth wheels and campers spread over the acreage on US 19. Some of the major brands Camping World carries include: Thor Motorcoach, Itasca by Winnebago, Coleman Travel Trailers, Salem Travel Trailers, Cougar Travel Trailers and Fifth Wheels, Sandpiper Fifth Wheels, plus more. There also is a large inventory of top-quality used RVs, campers and fifth wheels on the lot. In addition to RV sales, Camping World has a full service department that services and repairs all makes and models of RVs. The parts department and the accessory department are fully stocked with everything you need to keep your RV in perfect order, including plumbing and electrical supplies. The Camping World store is basically an RV and camping superstore with approximately 8,500 square feet stocked with everything you need to enjoy the RV and camping lifestyle. From portable stoves and generators to games for the kids and folding bicycles, Camping World has everything you could possibly need to have fun on the road and fully enjoy the beautiful parks and destinations that Florida and all of America has to offer. You can even pick up some string lights to decorate your campsite! Many families are returning to their roots and taking their children camping, finding that the break from phones and video gaming is a blessing

The Thor Motorcoach line includes the Freedom Elite, the Axis, the Ace and the Hurricane. When I visited Camping World, I toured several styles of RVS and there really is a great choice for every lifestyle. Of course, some were out of
my league but one can dream! Some of the RVs are decked out creature comforts with big – yes big! – luxurious bathrooms and king size beds. Even the backsplash in the kitchen is high-end! But the more affordable RVs are amazing too and offer comfort and style. Camping World has financing available and maintains good relationships with numerous big-name

Adding Value and Comfort to Your Home with Custom Designed Furniture Custom furniture may sound expensive, but with today’s technology and computerized woodworking equipment that is no longer the case. Personalized furniture is now available at very affordable prices and offered in a wide array of attractive colors and finishes. Home organization has benefited greatly from this trend. Custom closets are quickly becoming a standard option for homeowners. Improving the storage and organization in a closet can add as much as three times the usual capacity of the old standard rail and shelf. Beyond the benefits of extra storage, custom closets look great and can add value to the home. Additional benefits include finding clothing or accessory items faster, enough space to keep clothes neatly pressed instead of crushed and the additional room to add new clothes. With the high cost of construction utilizing the benefits of a wall

bed can create the opportunity for dual purpose rooms. An underused guest room can become an exercise room, home office, media room or hobby room. With the Murphy bed it can quickly convert back into a guest room. Today these beds fea-

cases, drop down tables, built in filing and storage a highly functional custom business or work center can be a great addition to any home. Areas such as the garage can be transformed with innovative storage solutions that can allow enough room for the car to get back into the

garage. Utility rooms including laundry rooms and pantries can all be made to accommodate more. Today new homes feature many of these as standard options and if they were not included, become some of the first purchases by the new homeowner. Remodeled homes are also benefiting since many of these “must have” conveniences can be great additions and provide more space, particularly if the home is a downsizing project. In the Tampa bay area a good place to see examples of these great ideas is the More Space Place. They
have two showrooms conveniently located in Palm Harbor and St. Petersburg. At their showrooms skilled space designers can help turn custom concepts into realty. With 3-D design software the concept layout can be seen before it is purchased and installed by More Space Place’s professional installers. If the preference is for a free in home consultations, you can call (727) 580-0405 or (813) 654-1551. A Grateful American: How Passion and Professionalism Inspired Gifts of Gratitude Some of Deb Benson’s most cherished childhood memories are from visits to her grandfather’s farm in Temple Terrace, where she would fish in his lake. Since then, the landscape has changed dramatically, but Benson still visits that farm — almost every weekday. As a manager in the Florida sales operations department at Verizon Wireless, Benson’s office building stands where that farm once was, and she can see the old fishing lake from her desk. Benson has led and inspired many people in her 26year career with Verizon Wireless, working within nearly every department, including customer service, marketing, operations and sales. But, it was only eight years ago that Benson assumed a personal leadership role that would touch tens of thousands of lives outside her company. Around the Fourth of July holiday in 2007, Benson was searching for an engaging way to teach her sons about the expression of grati-

tude. As she researched ways to show appreciation for the selfless men and women who defend our country, she had an idea to have special coins made that they could present to soldiers and thank them for their service. Benson found that unique military coins are often collected by service members, or even earned through achievements or to enhance morale. So Benson and her family designed a coin of their own. As Benson set out to place a small order for a few of their new coins, she discovered that to qualify for a price break, she would need to purchase 2,000. Inspired by a legacy of family patriotism and her professional passion to connect with others, Benson decided to expand the idea rather than scrap it, and that was the beginning of the Grateful American Coin program. Focused on providing a tangible way to display gratitude to those who serve our country, the Grateful

American Coin program quickly went through those first 2,000 coins. By selling the coins to others who wanted to say “thank you” to our military, the Grateful American Coin program was able to donate proceeds from each sale to organizations that provide support services to the severely injured men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. Today, the Grateful American Coin has recognized over 51,000 soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and

Veterans. Additionally, it has donated more than $113,000 to partner organizations, including The Special Ops Warrior Foundation and Paws for Patriots. Even more powerful than the numbers are the personal stories behind each of the 51,000 coins. While waiting to board a recent flight, Benson “coined” an Army helicopter pilot to thank him for his service. After receiving the coin, he went to the Grateful American Coin
Trinity Area Neighborhood News & Lifestyles
website, where he realized he had received his coin from the organization’s founder. When the plane landed, Benson was walking out when she heard someone say, “It’s you, it’s you!” She turned around to find the Army pilot waiting on the jetway for her to express his heartfelt appreciation. “It’s inspiring to show sincere gratitude to the people fighting for our freedom every day,” said Benson. “Their personal stories are the most beautiful gift, which I never expected.” Grateful American Coins have been framed by recipients, laid at an unmarked grave in Normandy and buried in the caskets of servicemen, but one of the most impactful moments for Benson was learning about a 13-year-old who received a specially designed coin for the families of the fallen after his father passed away. Dealing with the death of a parent can be very hard, and this young man was no exception. It was difficult for him to talk about it, so he used the coin to drive the conversation. When he went to bed at night, he would leave his coin out on the nightstand as a signal to his mom that he wanted to talk about his loss.
This is just one of many encouraging and emotional stories shared on Grateful American Coin’s website and Facebook page. The coin was thought up as a way for Benson to show her sons whom the true heroes are in today’s world. And if they’ve ever stopped to think about the 51,000 experiences those coins have generated, they’ve probably realized that their mom is one, too. If you’d like to donate, purchase coins, or read the stories of those who have given or received coins, please visit www.GratefulAmericanCoin.org.

TCBY –– Cool Treats for Hot Days By Dara Tucker Nearly four summers ago Trinity became home to the first TCBY SelfServe on the West Coast of Florida. Owners Patti and Jay Silar opened the store with their daughter Jenifer SilarMills, who is the store’s marketing manager. The idea of opening the Trinity location came quickly to Patti and Jay when they visited a TCBY Self-Serve store in Charlotte, North Carolina. The amazing taste makes it hard to believe the frozen yogurt is 96, 98 or 100 percent fat free. The couple knew it was a great business to bring back home to Trinity, where our hot days make cool treats even more scrumptious. TCBY, also known as “The Country’s Best Yogurt,” originally opened in 1981, and is the oldest frozen yogurt company in the United States. The company has high health and quality standards that appeal to Patti Silar who is a retired RN. Patti says, “TCBY takes pains to purchase products that are high quality. Fruit is sanitized to meet TCBY requirements, and we don’t use frozen fruit because it turns to mush on your yogurt. Our fruit are

in their own juices instead of syrup.” Jay Silar adds, “Our yogurts are kosher and Halal certified. We want to meet our customers’ needs.” TCBY’s yogurt is delicious, smooth and creamy. The possibilities of flavor combinations and toppings seem endless, but you many not have known it has great nutritional value, too. TCBY has super frozen yogurts (Super Fro-Yo), which is a new classification of frozen yogurt that sets a high standard for nutrition within the frozen yogurt industry. To qualify as a Super Fro-Yo, TCBY’s frozen yogurts meet or exceed (based on a four oz., half-cup serving) having at least three grams of fiber, seven types of live and active cultures, four grams of protein, and 20 percent daily value of vitamin D and calcium. The fiber and probiotics in TCBY yogurt help you feel satisfied and aid your body in digestion, boosting your general health. Vitamin D and calcium are also essential for bone and muscle health. The protein in TCBY yogurt contains amino acids that help proper muscle maintenance. Eating healthy has never tasted so good! Summer Martin truly values hav-

Our daughter has insulin resistance and it is hard to find a low sugar option for dessert. TCBY always carries a no sugar added flavor and would let us know when it arrived. The staff at TCBY is so friendly and treated us like their extended family. When it came time for my daughter’s birthday she

couldn’t imagine having it anywhere else than at TCBY and several of the staff were there to wish her a Happy Birthday. When we found out that we were moving to a different town, the staff got together to say goodbye and even gave us a going away card! They always went above-and-beyond to offer great customer service. We love our Trinity TCBY!”

Trinity’s TCBY is bright and fun, with a textured wall that changes colors. Between the music, bright colors, and cheerful staff, Patti, Jay and Jenifer have created an atmosphere that’s perfect for enjoying a treat. Unsure which of the ten flavors you should try? Don’t worry! An employee is happy to give you a sample. You don’t need to decide on just one flavor either. You can fill your 16 or 25 oz. cup with as little or as much as the cup can hold.
Bananas are available to turn your frozen yogurt into a banana split. If you don’t like your flavors mixing, cup dividers can be used to separate them. The ten available flavors rotate or change periodically, but there is always a no-sugar-added option and a nonmilk based option. For example, Silk™ Coconut Milk and Silk™ Chocolate Almond Milk are the current nondairy options available. In the upcoming months additional frozen yogurt

flavors TCBY will be carrying include English Toffee, Blueberry, Chocolate Chip Mint and Apricot. After you dispense your frozen yogurt, head over to the topping bar, which has over 45 different toppings to choose from, including fresh fruit and crushed Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. There are plenty of kids’ favorites such as gummies and candy chocolate rocks. You can top it off with hot chocolate fudge or warm walnuts in a caramel sauce. It’s possible to come to TCBY every day of the month, and never put together a repeat combination of yogurt and toppings! Jay, Patti, and Jenifer are involved in several community projects and fundraisers including Taste of Trinity and Long Leaf Fall Festival. As active members of our community, you’ll spot the TCBY “car” around town,
and at places such as the New Port Richey and Tarpon Springs Christmas Parades. Jenifer also works with local non-for-profit groups for spirit nights. For a set number of hours, a portion of the proceeds made on a designated night goes back to the school or church as a fundraiser. It’s fun and delicious way to earn money for your non-for-profit group. TCBY provides the Trinity area with a scrumptious and healthy yogurt shop that is perfect for taking the kids for a treat, birthday celebration, date night, or to take a pint from their freezer home to enjoy. When you go, make sure to ask for a loyalty reward card that gives you 1 point for every dollar you spend, and after 30 points you earn a $3 coupon. If you’re looking for gift that’s sure to be loved, purchase a TCBY gift card for any amount. TCBY of Trinity is located at 3140 Little Rd. in the Mitchell Ranch Plaza. During the summer months of June, July and August, TCBY Trinity’s hours are from noon–10 p.m., Monday – Friday. Call (727) 375-1177 for more information about spirit nights, and check out TCBY of Trinity’s Facebook page or website www.tcbytrinity.com for upcoming events and flavors.

Ralph Zuckerman (in blue) and those involved with the Child Adoption Education Day hope for even more Forever Families for children

Ralph Zuckerman, owner of Old McMicky’s Farm in Odessa, wrote to Neighborhood News & Lifestyles to say thank you for help in publicizing the Child Adoption Education Day (CAED) held on June 13, and to let us know that the event was attended by 450 people! Zuckerman says, “We are

all glad and proud to say that the Child Adoption Education Day was a huge success. All of the agencies and groups that participated are certain that this event will directly lead to finding more Forever Families for our local children in the foster care system.” Zuckerman adds that 610 people registered for the CAED event and that 1,400 people visited the CAED webpage. “Which means,” says Zuckerman, “Eckerd Community Alternatives will continue to receive contacts of interest after the event. From all of our research, this was the largest Child Adoption Education event in the nation. We also hope that the Child Adoption Education Day was able to play a small part to inspire and reinforce all of the great and dedicated work done by all of the agencies and groups serving our community’s children.” Old McMicky’s Farm is putting together a video of the day’s highlights and we will let you know how to access it when available. We watched a short section featuring 17-year-old Jabari’s speech about his wait for a Forever Family, and consider it a heartwarming “must-see” video! Our team at here at Neighborhood News & Lifestyles fell in love with Jabari’s spirit. “I always knew there was some family out there

looking for me,” Jabari said. “I’ve been patient; waiting for them to find me. And a couple of months ago they actually found me…and we’re doing good.” Jabari found his Forever Family at an Adoption Match Day that was held at Old McMicky’s Farm in April. Neighborhood News & Lifestyles will continue to bring you news about future child adoption information events. “RAYS UP For Our Community” Energizing Tampa Bay with the Magic of Rays Baseball! By Katelyn Thomas There are many reasons we love our Tampa Bay Rays! Of course, there are the games, where every inning has its white-knuckled, yellout-loud moments and the breaks are filled with laugh-out-loud antics that keep the live audience participating. There is no doubt, as you watch them heat up the diamond, that the Rays players have their heads and their hearts in the game. Furthermore, they have put their hearts into the Tampa Bay community and have put their heads together to make a real difference for the people living here.
Spanning the organization from the players to the management, the Tampa Bay Rays make it their team mission to stay active, both on and off the diamond. The Rays organization is much more than entertainment and finely tuned athleticism – though we do love that! From the players and their families to the corporate employees, the Rays are dedicated to making a difference in the community. One way that the Rays have been a positive force in Tampa Bay is through the Rays Baseball Foundation, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that supports youth education development. The Tampa Bay Rays and their support team continually
pitch in to help families and individuals in our community through charities, volunteer programs and partnership affiliates. This Summer: RAYS UP For Our Community! Most recently, the Rays created a new campaign called “RAYS UP for Our Community.” Launched on June 1st and lasting until September 20th, the “RAYS UP for Our Community” campaign focuses on four key areas – Kids, Heroes, Health and Education. Additionally, every game during each two-week campaign flight will highlight a partner agency “Everyday MVP” on the telecast and social media.
The four key areas of focus each have a Rays team ambassador, including pitchers Chris Archer and Matt Moore, manager Kevin Cash and infielder Evan Longoria. Each campaign has a deep personal meaning for them. Tampa Bay Rays president Brian Auld says, “We enter the 10th year of Stu Sternberg’s ownership with a renewed focus on our mission to energize our community through the magic of Rays baseball. The ‘RAYS UP For Our Community’ campaign celebrates our community partners and helps share their successes with a wider audience.” Rays pitcher Chris Archer “threw out the first pitch” on the

new campaign with RAYS UP for Kids on June 1st. Archer dedicates his time and support to programs that focus on kids in the communities of Tampa Bay, and he is a mentor and advocate for children. As part of RAYS UP for Kids, each of the 5,600 students who celebrated their graduation at Tropicana Field received vouchers for four tickets to any Rays game in the homestand from June 9th –16th. Matt Moore heads up the RAYS UP for Heroes campaign from June 29th to July 12th. Matt chose RAYS UP for Our Heroes, stating, “Baseball is our national pastime but we wouldn’t be able to enjoy it without the great men and women who protect us. I grew up on an Air Force base so I know firsthand that American heroes, like my dad, sacrifice every day to keep us safe. Your Tampa Bay Rays are committed to energizing our community through the magic of Rays’ baseball and supporting those who give so much for our freedom. Join us as we rally our community around active duty military, Veterans, first responders and their families.” RAYS UP for Heroes highlights the “Everyday MVPs” in our community to thank them for their service and dedication to the safety of our community. For the period of August 2–16, the “RAYS UP for Our Community” campaign switches to Tampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash’s focus, RAYS UP for Health. Cash and the Rays organization is inspired to promote health within the community and give thanks to healthcare professionals in the Tampa Bay area. With his daughter born with a congenital heart condition, Kevin Cash has experienced that we have another sector of heroes in Tampa Bay – the ones who look after our health. Cash will be working with Rays’ partners to raise awareness for health in our community with RAYS UP for Health! Rays ambassador Evan Longoria will RAYS UP for Education. The RAYS UP for Education part of the RAYS UP for Our Community campaign will last from September 7th until September 20th. Since 2006, the Rays Baseball Foundation has
teamed with the Tampa Bay Times to promote “Reading with the Rays– –Read Your Way to the Ball Park,” made possible through a partnership with public library systems. Evan Longoria sponsors “Reading with the Rays,” which, because of his sponsorship, has grown to nine counties with more than 20,000 children participating annually. He is passionate about supporting children’s education and continues to find ways to make “Reading with the Rays” excel. Evan Longoria and the Rays received the Outstanding Business Partner of the Year from the Florida Literacy Coalition and will receive the 2015 Friend of Newspaper in Education Award from the Florida Press Education Services on July 23rd. Longoria’s dedication to education is outstanding.
How Do You RAYS UP? So, the question is, “How Do You RAYS UP?” The Rays want to hear from you! There are “Everyday MVPs” of all ages in Tampa Bay who set out to make a difference for others, and the Rays want to hear your stories. All summer long, fans are encouraged to submit stories answering the question, “How do YOU Rays Up?” If you are an “Everyday MVP” then join the big leagues and tell the Rays what you are doing to make a difference in Tampa Bay. Log on to www.raysbaseball.com/raysup to be inspired to RAYS UP for Our Community! You also can check out #RaysUp on Twitter and Instagram!

Having a smile you’re proud of can change your life, and Dr. Mostafa has made a great deal of patients in our area smile. He continues to find ways to help patients, stating, “We are now offering free exams and x-rays for patients without insurance.” A graduate of the University of

Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Mostafa knew early in life that he wanted to be a dentist when he saw his uncle practicing dentistry. “I saw the difference that he made in people’s lives and it became my passion. It became an obsession to improve people’s lives.” Denise, a patient, wrote on American Family & Cosmetic Dentistry’s facebook page, “Thank you so very much Dr. Mostafa for returning my smile and teeth. I was so very apprehensive and you made my smile and Dr. Mostafa and his staff welcome you to teeth look as normal as ever. work is the best. His staff is great and the office is spotless. When you have to see a dentist, you should go here!” With many years of continued education under his belt, Dr. Mostafa has built a practice that aims to make each patient’s dental health a priority. In fact, he completed one year of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Dental Research Clinic located in Tampa, and is a Fellow at The International Congress of Oral Implantologists. A member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the West Coast Dental Association, the West Pasco Dental Association and the Hillsborough County Dental Research Clinic, Dr. Mostafa spends a great deal of time staying up-todate on the latest techniques and procedures. Dr. Mostafa also serves the local community providing dental work to patients who cannot afford it by cofounding the Red Crescent Clinic in Tampa, where he regularly provides free care. He also volunteers at Good Samaritan Health Clinic of Pasco and the Gulf Coast Dental Outreach Center.
Technology that Makes Dental Work Pain-Free! Using technology such as lowradiation x-rays and intraoral cameras, the staff at American Family & Cosmetic Dentistry can quickly and easily help to show you where your dental needs lie. American Family & Cosmetic Dentistry also utilizes two different lasers – one is for treating gum disease and one is useful in detecting cavities. If you need a root canal, Dr. Mostafa is proficient in something called Rotary Endodontics, which is a new way of performing a root canal using an electric tool that is worn on the dentist’s hand. This new technology makes having a root canal a lot faster and easier, which means patients start feeling better right away. Offering a variety of oral sedation options, patients do not need to worry when they come they visit American Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. In addition to having advanced technology and being experienced in a plethora of advanced dental procedures, Dr. Mostafa’s first priority is to make you feel comfortable each step of the way,

“Albert” Continued from page 1 that are really what the clients are paying for. I feel strongly that my personal attention and high standard of quality care is what has made my practice successful and so highly reviewed by our patients.” Dr. Albert is a specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and has had a private practice since 2003. A graduate of East Lake High School who then earned his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from The University of Florida, Dr. Albert was honored by the University of Florida as an Outstanding Young Alumni, for his contributions to his profession and community in 2010. What’s more, Dr. Albert recently completed his term as President of the Florida Association of Orthodontics! He is a member of more dental associations than we have room to mention here, but what’s important to know is that Dr. Albert is on the cutting edge of the newest technology while staying educated on the latest techniques. It’s not just the patients who are happy, but their parents and families as well. With affordable treatment

plans, a variety of finance options to fit every budget, and appointment times that work around busy family schedules, Albert Family Orthodontics is hard to beat! The Dampier family has three daughters receiving treatment at Albert Family Orthodontics, and said, “The girls had minimal discomfort after orthodontic adjustments. Our appointments ran right on schedule without long waits to be seen. Also, Dr. Albert always gave us parents an update personally on our daughters’ progress during treatment. Our experience in his office has been none less than extraordinary and we recommend that you go for an orthodontic consultation here and see for yourself.” Who Knew that Orthodontics was this Much Fun? I may be dating myself here, but when I was a kid, going to the orthodontist was not this much fun! At Albert Family Orthodontics, the waiting room is filled with big screen TVs, free WiFi access, video games and even a coffee and snack bar. It’s awesome. Past the waiting room and the superhigh-tech sign-in center, the orthodontic chairs are made of memory foam that makes getting orthodontic treat-

Making People Smile, Near & Far Dr. Albert is one of those rare human beings who is both involved in everything and completely humble about it at the same time. Obviously a doctor with heart, Dr. Albert was inspired by his church’s mission to help people in a remote part of Haiti. Cypress Meadows Community Church in Safety Harbor is trying to really help those people who don’t have access to basic things that we take for granted. Dr. Albert said, “This year I brought three other dental professionals with me. It’s a six-hour ride on dirt paths; it’s an eye-opening off-road experience to help people who need it.” Adding, “If we aren’t there helping, no one is.” Treating 160 patients and pulling 130 teeth, Dr. Jeremy Albert, Dr. Mark Mitchell, Dr. Matt Burton and Dr. T.J. Albert worked together to relieve pain in patients caused by dental issues. Dr. Albert explains, “We try to
save the teeth that we can, but sometimes in remote areas of the world, pulling diseased teeth is the definitive answer to the pain they’re going through.” Dr. Albert plans to return every February and bring as much help as he can. It’s this commitment to his patients, his local community, and the world beyond that makes Dr. Jeremy Albert a local treasure, and that’s a quite a lot to smile about! Albert Family Orthodontics is located at Trinity Professional Place, 1806 Short Branch Drive, Suite #102 in Trinity, and in Palm Harbor at 2445 Tampa Road, Suite A. Both locations are open Mon. – Fri., 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. The offices can be reached at (727) 376-2770 (Trinity) and (727) 781- 7475 (Palm Harbor) or log on to albertfamilyortho.com for more information.
