By Matt Selby Boasting a huge wing selection, mouth-watering wraps and juicy burgers the menu at Patio 6 is sure to excite your taste buds. “We get really creative with our food, bringing you items that you won’t find anywhere else, especially our wing sauce selection,” says owner Richard. The concept for Patio 6 was developed with the simple goal of bringing something new to the Westchase area– and they have definitely succeeded! Opening less than a month ago, this fun, local hangout has been very well received in the community, providing customers with a place where they can enjoy a

delicious, quality meal at a very affordable price while hanging out with family and friends and catching their favorite sports game. Patio 6 is proud to offer NFL Sunday ticket once football starts up again! “We love this area and enjoy meeting people in the community,” says TJ. “We are one of those places where we call our customers by their names. You are not just another ticket number. What I love most about Tampa is that it is a melting pot of cultures. A lot of people have migrated here from other places, bringing with them the diversity of the cuisine from their different regions.” Quality smoked meats are to be rolled out on the 4th of July! Bring the entire family for a great BB-Q inspired day! On my first visit to Patio 6 I had the great pleasure of sampling the mango habanero wings and they were fantastic. The wings featured exceptional smoky flavored meat with a sweet mango and spicy kick of habanero sauce. The two paired perfectly to create a one of a kind sweet and spicy flavor! I also tried the Patio 6 burger and it was juicy,

Patio 6 Burger perfectly cooked and a hefty portion of beef. I was very impressed with this burger and while I’m no famous burger critic, I can say I eat a lot of burgers all over the Tampa Bay area. I also tried the Caribbean chicken wrap and it was to die for. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I had a fantastic experience and trust you will as well.

Simplify Your Life! Cut Out Clutter! Call 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Today! By Katie Thomas Got Junk? Convenient pick-up, on-time service, upfront pricing, junk removal services and responsible disposal make 1-800-GOT-JUNK? the company in your area to call for the hectic job of spring-cleaning, or any other major clean-out project. 1-800GOT-JUNK? has been hauling off unwanted items since its humble beginning in 1989. Now the company is known nationally as the go-to company for full-service junk removal for residential, commercial and construction site locations. The company has saved over 2.4 billion pounds of junk from landfills, earning kudos for being not only easy, but eco-friendly too. Simplifying your life and living a more open, minimal lifestyle is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself and with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? at your disposal, the job of de-cluttering has never been easier. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is the largest

10

JULY 2016

junk removal franchise in the world. You may even have seen them at work on the popular A&E Reality TV show Hoarders, or maybe on Dr. Phil, Rachel Ray, or the Oprah Winfrey show, all of which have featured 1-800-GOTJUNK? on episodes. Local 1-800GOT-JUNK? franchise owners Troy and Rachelle invested in GOT-JUNK? more than a decade ago. Troy had worked in medical sales and Rachelle worked as a medical technologist, but the couple really wanted to own a business of their own and agreed that looking into franchising would be a smart place to start. Troy and Rachelle sat down and took an evaluation through a franchise placement company that ultimately led them to choose 1-800GOT-JUNK? as their future business endeavor. Troy says, “There was no other business like 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in the area. Rachelle and I became educated in junk removal services and marketing aspects of the business, which

got us to the point we are at now.” Rachelle and Troy’s 1-800-GOTJUNK? business services all of Pasco, Northern Pinellas and Hillsborough with complete full-service junk removal, professional call services and free estimates with pricing based on the volume of junk being removed. “Our friendly professional haulers will handle almost any kind of junk as long as it is non-hazardous,” says Troy. “We pick up single items or can handle multiple truckloads of junk for commercial and residential clients. Our friendly, uniformed drivers will do all the lifting for you, clean up and haul your junk away. More than 60 percent of what we haul away is recycled or reused and our haulers will do the sorting for you to determine if something should go to the dump, local charities or recycle centers. We have even taken small boats, engine blocks, sheds and docks. We can take away almost any material we can fit in our trucks, without you ever lifting a finger. We’ll remove junk from wherever it’s located and we won’t leave a dent or

speck of dirt behind! And we are fully licensed and insured.” Simple and Easy! Getting rid of the things we don’t need can sometimes be an emotional rollercoaster. Many times we place sentimental attachments on things that no longer serve a purpose in our lives. Most of the time, when it comes to excess stuff, we hold on to it “just in case.” If you aren’t sure about an item, ask yourself a few questions. Have I used this in the last six months? (Or, for some of us, in the last six years?) Am I keeping this out of obligation or expectation? Do I have more than one of these? Am I holding onto a broken item to fix one day? Is this item worth the time I spend cleaning it? Is this item worth the space it is taking up, and can I use this space for something better? If you find yourself answering no to many of these questions, it may be time to call 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. Troy says, “Our service is the most inexpensive way for you to gain space in your home or office. Most people find that they have an extra 100, 200 or even 500 square foot of space after they declutter and remove unwanted items.”

Neighborhood News & Lifestyles

Junk removal is as easy as making a phone call with 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. Begin by making a call to Rachelle and Troy’s professional calling service and schedule a convenient pick up time. Customers are given a two-hour time window for the arrival of the trucks and will receive a phone call 15 to 30 minutes before the arrival of the truck. Once the guys are on-site with their trucks they will give you an estimate, load up your unwanted goods into the truck and leave you with a less cluttered, more organized space. “All you have to do is point out to

Neighborhood News & Lifestyles

us what you don’t want anymore and we do the rest,” assures Troy. “From the sorting to the recycling to the hauling, we make sure your stuff ends up where it should, whether that is at a donation center for charity, the recycling center or repurposing center. We take care of it all, so you can focus on creating more space for you and family.” 1-800-GOT-JUNK? disposes of any non-hazardous materials and specializes in the removal of household junk items including appliances, mattresses, furniture, carpet, television sets,

and tires. The company will remove office junk, offering computer, printer and monitor recycling. Not only does 1-800-GOT-JUNK? remove unwanted home and office extras, the company can take care of construction debris, yard debris, and will remove disaster preparation materials. They also work with building contractors, property managers and real estate agents. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is environmentally conscious and recycles or donates everything they can when possible. Rachelle says, “We operate out of a 4500-square-foot warehouse where we sort and store items for recycling, donating and repurposing. “We recycle as much as we can. Sixty percent of the materials we remove are recycled or donated to Lighthouse Ministries, Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, and other charities and thrift stores.” One customer, Kelly, says, “Great service...right on time, safe and friendly

driver/ haulers. We had a sleeper sofa to remove (that wasn’t in bad shape) but charities didn’t want it or it would take a while for an appointment. 1-800-GOTJUNK? was a better price than competitors and the best part of using this service is that they work to donate it to an organization that would like to have it. I would much rather it be reused than go to a landfill! I would recommend them!” Satisfied customer Josh says, “I had about half my garage stuffed with cardboard boxes and other miscellaneous junk. I also had some extremely heavy trashcans on the side that the garbage men wouldn’t take. Booked online, they came, grabbed everything and were done in about 30 minutes (last time I tried to clean out my garage and boxes and cut everything up it took me an entire day and I still wasn’t done). Fantastic service and they did a great job.” If you want to unburden yourself from unnecessary stuff, 1-800-GOTJUNK? literally lightens your load! Call 1-800-GOT-JUNK (1800-468-5865) to schedule a free estimate and/or pick-up or visit 1800gotjunk.com to book online or for additional information.

“Whole Foods” Continued from page 1 making freshly prepared take-out meals – all under one roof. Originally founded in Austin, Texas, when four local businesspeople decided the natural foods industry was ready for a supermarket format, the original Whole Foods Market opened in 1980 with a staff of only 19 people. It was an immediate success. Growing by leaps and bounds, in the past 36 years Whole Foods Market is now the world’s largest supermarket for natural and organic foods. Yet, despite their size they have never strayed from their core values and beliefs, and they continue to maintain the spirit and principles of the company’s original heart and soul. Widely known as America’s healthiest grocery store, in addition to having an unshakeable commitment to sustainable agriculture, Whole Foods Market seeks out the finest natural and organic foods available, while maintaining the strictest quality standards in the industry. They are a destination for many people with special dietary needs, devoting more space to those offerings than most conventional supermarkets and carry thousands of products from both small, artisanal producers and larger brands – all of which meet their strict quality standards. They believe that food in its purest state —without artificial flavorings, sweeteners, hydrogenated fats, colorings and preservatives — is the best tasting and most nutritious food available, which is why you will never find any of those ingredients at Whole Foods Market! They also offer a wide range of options when it comes to price – from their affordable 365 Everyday Value® line to specialty gourmet items.

These are all examples of business practices that support Whole Foods Market’s commitment to their core values and belief in the importance of giving back to the community.

On designated days throughout the year, a total of 5% of the day’s net sales are donated to a local non-profit organization. Lion Fish Filleting and Sampling at Whole Foods July 2 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Watch a live filleting and learn about this invasive species that is severely threatening local marine life. Sample this white flaky fish, similar to grouper and snapper, prepared with a special recipe you can take and prepare at home. Whole Foods Market only sells seafood that’s certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council or rated green or yellow by the Monterey Bay Aquarium, so once Lionfish earned a green rating, Whole Foods Market was so excited to offer shoppers a new, delicious species that also improves this serious environmental problem. Lionfish reproduce at really high rates, and without predators to deter them, the populations only continue to grow. A female starts releasing egg sacs after she is one year old. She will live to be around 18 years old, and will release

TWO MILLION EGGS EVERY YEAR. The male fertilizes the sacs, and they float around in a toxic goo that protects them from being eaten until they grow into small fish. When it comes to species like Lionfish that are invasive, Whole Foods Market is thrilled to be part of the solution to protecting our waterways and all the species that live there – all while providing a really interesting, delicious option for shoppers. “Tre MedSpa” Continued from page 1 skincare products or latest procedures were recommended. Previously owning her own medical spa in New Orleans before moving to Tampa in ’08, in addition to having over 15 years of experience as an M.D., Dr. Pham has years of experience running a medical spa and is happy to once again offer these services, now to the Westchase community. Coming from a medical background, she brings a much more comprehensive approach to skin care, incorporating a medical outlook that has proven to be very beneficial in the success of the procedures performed. “I have a great interest in aesthetics,” says Dr. Pham. “I enjoy talking to patients about their skin health, focusing on a comprehensive medical approach to guide me in advising what procedures or skin regimen are safe or most effective for my patients. The goal is to work with my patients to help them feel more youthful and look younger. I really focus on enhancing your own natural features and not making you look like someone else; instead an enhanced, more refreshed, version of you.”

A full service medical spa, at Tre MedSpa the knowledgeable, friendly staff will help you reach your beauty goals using the most advanced noninvasive skin corrective technology and professional grade skin care products available. Whether you want to freshen up your look with a revitalizing facial, chemical peel, or microdermabrasion, improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with Botox or Dysport, add volume to your face with a dermal filler such as Restylane or Juvederm, or get rid of unwanted hair with their laser hair removal treatment, Tre MedSpa will help you enjoy enhanced beauty at any age. Dr. Pham also has been introducing two other distinct antiaging skin treatments to her patients that many may not be aware of. IPL ( Intense Pulsed Light) Photorejuvenation, is an amazing noninvasive procedure that targets and reduces the uneven tone and dark pigmentation of sunspots/freckles/discoloration as well as reducing redness/blotches that patients often have with conditions such as rosacea or prominent capillaries/blood vessels to their face or body. Patients will be so excited to see majority of their sunspots/freckles and discoloration improve with this

procedure. Another well-sought after procedure is the Collagen-Induction Therapy (often referred to as microneedling). This procedure uses a medical grade device that is gently passed over your skin to produce tiny fine microperforations in the skin, which help stimulate collagen production. The procedure enhances the absorption of skin products that are often applied immediately during/after the treatment to obtain the best benefits for skin renewal. It can also be combined with the application of PRP ( platelet-riched plasma), which contains countless growth factors and nutrients that stimulate skin repair and rejuvenation to a more advanced degree. Dr. Pham is happy to offer this new cutting edge technology to her clients. She says, “An advanced anti-aging procedure that has become really popular amongst all the celebrities, micro-needling involves

discoloration, and acne scarring, as well as burns and other skin damage. It leaves your skin feeling smoother and more beautiful.” Dr. Pham focuses heavily on client education and stresses the importance of taking care of your skin from a young age. Taking a very proactive approach, she has shown a great interest in educating young teens, as that is an imperative age to begin proper skin care techniques. A lot of the time we don’t realize how harmful the things we did in our youth have affected our skin later on in life, which is why it’s crucial to start proper practices as soon as possible, that way it’s a matter of prevention as opposed to treatment. “Having a 14 year old daughter, I am big on teen awareness and enjoy teaching them about using the right make-up and facial products, the importance of protecting their skin from the sun and

proper hygiene techniques. This age often is troubled by hormone changes and acne breakouts and it is very important to discuss and educate our teens and young adults on not only good skin care but overall health, diet and fluid balance to help promote healthy skin. “ Living in Florida, where everyone is so sun-happy, it is even more important that you take your skin into consideration, as Florida residents experience much more sun damage than other regions. If you don’t take care of your skin now, you will definitely see some of the negative effects it will have on your overall appearance down the road. With all the different clinics and med spas out there, it is so critical that you do your research when choosing where to go to have your procedure done and who is overseeing or performing those procedures, as

different places follow different guidelines and rules and use different devices and modules - some of which are not as effective as others. Having over 15 years of medical experience, Dr. Pham here at Tre Medspa, provides not only the aesthetic advise that patients are looking for, such as what is the latest skincare treatment or line to use, but she also is able to provide a medical approach to your skin consultation, evaluating abnormal skin conditions or lesions to make sure there is not an underlying medical concern that needs to be addressed. You may not necessarily have that additional overview or medical evaluation at other typical spas. Dr. Pham says, “Coming from a medical background, I have done thorough research into all the devices and procedures that we offer, and have been very particular in choosing those that I truly feel are both safe

and effective for my patients. . Majority of my treatments are based upon medical science; we offer you medical grade treatment using products that I really do feel have the science to back them up. The safety of my clients is a top priority, and we follow very strict protocols.” Tre Medspa offers a variety of different pharmaceutical grade skin care products and lines and Dr. Pham and her staff are very good at recommending the proper products to best suit the needs of each individual client. “I am very selective in the products we offer,” says Dr. Pham. “I do a thorough review and only pick the ones that I feel have good evidence behind them. Every skin tone is different and I look at what is working for you and mix and match different products depending on what your skin care goal is.” A testament to the type of doctor that she is, Vitals, the Internet's largest source for doctor reviews, recently announced that Dr. Pham has been named a Patients' Choice Award FiveYear Honoree. This award acknowledges the five consecutive years that she has won a Vitals Patients' Choice Award - a distinction that places her in an elite group of the top 1% of U.S. doctors.
