At the time of opening Sugardarlings, Jess was working at Innisbrook Golf Resort in Tarpon Springs where she had been employed for over 13 years. Willamette Valley of western Oregon. From the age of 12 until he graduated from veterinary school, he worked as a residential housepainter. He attended Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio earning a BA in Biology/Chemistry in 1986, and then attended Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine, where he graduated with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1990. Dr. Amsberry founded a small veterinarian practice in his hometown in 1995, which he ran successfully until he and his wife Jenny sold it in 2008 so they and their two teenage children could move to Florida to be close to Jenny’s family. The Amsberrys love it here and especially enjoy the East Lake area. Currently, their family pet members include a mother and son set of Yorkies, Truffles and Fudge, and two local rescued cats named Suri and Belle.
