By Kim Thomas Michael and Michelle bought a home in Westchase knowing that they would be remodeling the bathrooms. Though the home wasn’t old, it had basic contractor-grade plumbing fixtures, lackluster design, and the previous owners faltered on upkeep as well. The master bath had a major leak that even ruined the floors in the master bedroom. Michael searched Angie’s List and called several companies to come out and meet with them, but the stellar reputation of Yeager and Company stood out. When they met Yeager and Company’s Vice President Melanie
Carter, who heads up the kitchen and bath remodeling division, their decision was made. Michelle shares, “When I met Melanie for the first time, I told my husband, “I want to go with them! Melanie is very warm and friendly and I felt comfortable with her. My husband is savvy with design and she listened to us and really complemented the ideas we’d already thought of.” Michael and Michelle hired Yeager and Company to remodel all three bathrooms in their home, and to replace the wood flooring in the master bedroom. Cafe Mezze: A Turkish Delight Right Here at Home! By Matt Selby Everyone knows that Tampa Bay has become a foodie paradise known nationwide as one of the best areas in the country for culinary treats. I personally love enjoying a nice meal out on the town with my family and with so many great choices I hardly ever visit the same place twice in a month but that’s about to change. I love a good Kebab so when I found out Cafe Mezze was opening on Tampa Road in Oldsmar, I immediately became intrigued. Our area is filled with great choices for fine dining but tasty Turkish fare is sometimes hard to come by. One of their most well known food items of course is the Kebab but many other options should be quite familiar as well including Hummus, Lamb Chops and other Mediterranean favorites such as the Gyro. If you’ve never had the opportunity to dine on authentic Turkish food, now is your chance so don’t be afraid to try something new

and exotic. I highly recommend starting your visit to Cafe Mezze with any of their delicious hot or cold appetizers but If you happen to come in a group don’t pass up the appetizer sampler. Shoot, even if you come by yourself get it! You can always take home what you don’t eat. The appetizer sampler is a combination of Hummus, Babaganoush, stuffed grape leaves, Ezme, Tabuli, Labne, Pinto Beans and Eggplant. On my most recent visit I started off my meal with the Sigara Borek which was recommended to me by Co Owner of Cafe Mezze, Deniz Kayalar. Deniz is a restauranteur with over three decades

combination plate of sliced Gyro meat and Chicken Adana. Growing up in Tarpon Springs I’ve had my fair share of Gyro meat and trust me when I tell you this stuff was as authentic as it gets. The meat was a perfectly balanced blend of herbs and spices, flavorful and juicy. It wasn’t greasy either which is not easy to do! The Chicken Adana was also fantastic! I’ve never had it before but yet again Cafe

absolutely fell in love at first taste. I have to admit that I wasn’t sure what to expect. Yogurt and Chicken? Sounds strange to someone who has never experienced it but once you do, you are sure to order it again. The cubes of Chicken were juicy, tender and bursting with flavor! The Yogurt is not overpowering at all and brings your taste buds to a whole new dimension that many of us have never
experienced before. This ethnic delight is one of my favorite dishes at Cafe Mezze but you honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. They also offer a number of Kebabs with Yogurt including Kofte Kebabs, Steak Kebabs, Chicken Adana Kebabs, Adana Kebabs, Lamb Shish Kebab and the Iskender Kebab which is Sliced Gyro Kebab over garlic toasted bread served with
yogurt and tomato sauce! The inside of the restaurant is beautifully done as well. I was fortunate to be able to witness Philomena in action during our interview, when a former client came in to look around.
