Jenny Molloy, the “Aesthetics Fairy Godmother”
PRSRT STD U.S. POSTAGE PAID TAMPA FL PERMIT 1185
Nurse practitioner Jenny Molloy is an “Aesthetics Fairy Godmother,” granting returned youth through the magic of science. It seems appropriate that the place where Jenny, in her starched white lab coat, waves her magic wand and erases the lines of time from your face is called 3 Wishes Aesthetics. Located within The Body Bar Spa in Westchase, at 10913 Countryway Boulevard, the benefits of her practice comes threefold – look well, feel well, live well and it is also the hot pink tagline on Jenny’s 3 Wishes Aesthetics business card. “When people look better, they feel better. When they feel well, they live better,” said Jenny. “My children call me the fairy godmother of a 15year decade, so I had to come up with a name that was a little whimsical, but yet had some deep-rooted meeting for the practice.” In 2007, Jenny spent 6 months putting her ideas
on a grease board, trying to devise the perfect design. She launched 3 Wishes Aesthetics in Harbor Island and relocated to Westchase in 2012. At 3 Wishes Aesthetics, Jenny does facial rejuvenation and artistry. Wielding the tiniest of a needle, she helps the evidence of the aging process virtually disappear. “I use my art to help people look better with my tools being Botox, dermal-fillers, and skin care.” A customer will come to a 30-minute no-pressure consultation and if they chose to get treatment, complete paperwork and receive selected service immediately following the initial meeting. Jenny doesn’t tell the clients what she sees needs improvement; rather, she hands them a mirror and asks what bothers them. “As women, we can spend hours nitpicking on what we see. I ask the client what is your goal? What would you like to improve? When they show me, See “3 Wishes” on page 26.

Tampa Bay News & Lifestyles
From The Editor Kim Thomas
Happy Thanksgiving – Enjoy Your Time Spent With Loved Ones This year has slipped by so fast and it’s hard to believe that it is already time for the Holidays. We want to let our readers and our advertisers know that we really appreciate you. We are thankful for you. We are just as excited about sharing community events and giving you an inside look at the businesses who serve you, as we were when the first New & Lifestyles to serve the Odessa, Lutz and Land O’ Lakes areas rolled off the press nearly seven years ago. With growth comes change, and we have definitely experienced both, especially in the past couple of years. A recent name change, to the new Tampa Bay News & Lifestyles, for all seven of publications is representative of this publication’s growth, now in all three counties of the Tampa Bay Area, with coverage from South Tampa out to Land O’ Lakes, to East Lake in North Pinellas and Trinity in West Pasco. It is an honor and privilege to help put this publication together, and personally, I am thankful to know and
Tampa Bay News & Lifestyles
love the people I work for, the Selby and O’Reilly families, because they are honest, hardworking, and like the many small businesses that advertise with us, they put in long hours and plenty of sacrifice for the good of the company. Our graphic artists are amazing and I am thankful that they can work their magic! Dave once made a Styrofoam food container disappear like magic from a photo sent to us of a high-end kitchen. Our art guys also are tech-smart and Tony has helped me get back online more times than I should admit – thanks Tony! Our writers, some of whom have been with us since the first publication printed, keep the pulse of this publication strong and for them, I am eternally thankful for I couldn’t do my job without them. Our writers have been writing for our advertisers since the first run of this paper – Julie Kanehl, Dara Tucker, my daughter Katie Thomas, and Marcy Sanford. I hope they know how appreciated they are
for their timeliness, work ethic and their true desire to help local businesses succeed. The remarkable thing, even though they all have other jobs and very busy lives, when they sit down with our advertisers, their focus is on the task at hand. Dara Tucker recently let us know that due to her busy work schedule as a teacher and her girls’ busy afterschool schedules, that after eight years she wouldn’t be writing for us. But I am so thankful for those eight years that we had her and I hope Dara will send me some community interest stories! Keep sending us your community events and uplifting news. We are thankful to hear from you, residents of Odessa, Lutz and Land O’ Lakes! Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at Tampa Bay News & Lifestyles. We wish you a holiday season filled with joy and many special moments with your loved ones.

The Best of the East Vs. The Best of the West! Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Hosts 2nd Annual Pasco County All-Star Football Game Tony Dungy / Bobby Bowden / Tom Landry / Sue Semrau – these are but a few of the 80 or so legendary coaches in America who are a part of the “Hall of Champions” at FCA headquarters in Kansas City. These are coaches who have impacted the lives of athletes in the areas of character, integrity, leadership, and even for eternity, for most of their careers. And these are coaches who’ve been a part of FCA for over 30 years. On December 8th FCA will host the 2nd Annual Pasco County All-Star Football Game. The best of the East vs. the best of the West. Last year 2,000 fans packed Sunlake Stadium for the inaugural all-star game and this year promises to be even bigger! Every public High School in the County and two private schools will participate. Head coaches from each school held a “draft day” where they selected the best senior players from each school. The countywide battle for bragging rights will be held again at Sunlake Stadium, Thursday, December 8, at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at any participating

school, or online at pascofootball.eventbrite.com, or at ticket gate the day of game. Fans are strongly encouraged to get tickets prior to game to avoid lines at gate on game day. FCA is a non-profit sports-based ministry that seeks to impact the lives of coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, for Jesus Christ. There are FCA chapters in all 50 states in the U.S., and in 54 countries around the world. Locally, there are chapters in 101 “huddles” in the Tampa Bay area, which include Middle Schools, High Schools and Colleges. The ministry can be best described with the Four C’s: Coaches, Campus, Camps and Community. Coaches – Coaches are FCA’s initial impact each year. Young people may not respect authority like they used to, but they will still respect “coach.” Billy Graham said, “a coach will impact more people in one year than most people do in a lifetime.” So we try to influence the influencers.
Tampa Bay News & Lifestyles
The second “C” is for Campus. With a presence on most High Schools and many Middle Schools in Tampa Bay, we reach thousands of students on our campuses. The school meetings are student initiated and student led. This gives the students who choose to be a part of our club an opportunity to grow and stretch in areas such as leadership, public speaking, preparation and other life skills. Students who come through the FCA ministry as leaders can put this body of work on their resume as they begin searching for colleges or careers. It’s important to know that while FCA has “athletes” in our name, that students don’t have to be athletes or a part of a sports team to be a part of our club. We seek to reach all students at all schools. Next is “Camps” – FCA has hundreds of camps around the country each year. These camps range from “all student” camps, leadership camps, and virtually the different sports-specific camps. Locally we offer a full week of camp at South-
Tampa Bay News & Lifestyles
eastern University in Lakeland. Students from all across southwest Florida meet at SEU for a full week of perspiration, inspiration and transformation. They come back fired up and ready to make a difference in their schools and with their friends. The final “C” is Community. FCA partners with businesses, churches, parents and volunteers to organize several events each year that impact the community. Some of the events we’ll do are golf tournaments, cornhole tournaments, sporting clay shoots, and all-star football games, where a much broader audience is reached. Areas of need within FCA are for volunteers, speakers, monthly financial partners and board members. If you have any interest in serving in any of these areas, we would greatly appreciate an opportunity to talk with you. Area Director Bob Durham can be reached at (813) 784-4410 or bdurham@fca.org

Save Time and Money with Grout Tech By Kim Thomas Before you spend thousands of dollars remodeling and re-tiling your bathroom or kitchen be sure to call Grout Tech for a FREE estimate on cleaning or repairing old dingy tile and grout. Grout Tech can breathe new life into your existing tile work, making everything shine like new at a fraction of the cost. Grout Tech is a family owned business serving Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco Counties. With over ten years of experience in the industry, Grout Tech specializes in cleaning and sealing tile and grout, re-coloring grout, re-caulking showers and tubs, and repairing grout and broken tiles. Grout Tech will renew existing grout and tile to its original beauty by cleaning and maintaining the tile and grout lines. John Cole and his wife were ready to re-tile their entire bathroom before calling BJ at Grout Tech. “Our bathroom tile was over 40 years old it was looking grungy and very dull. We called Grout Tech

We saved so much money by having the grout in our shower resurfaced and the tile cleaned and it looks brand new,” John shares. BJ is happy to set your appointment, come out and give you a free estimate. She stresses, “It is important for me to be respectful of our customers’ time so I will always arrive at the time we set.” In addition to always arriving in a timely manner, BJ says that they can keep their prices low because they are a family owned business and not a franchise. She explains, “What many people don’t understand is that franchises are often forced to charge more for their serv-

ices because they have to maintain their franchise fees, but not with Grout Tech.” Not only does Grout Tech keep its rates competitive, but the company will also honor any other quote as long as it is in writing. Because grout is a porous material, trying to remove stains is seemingly impossible. BJ explains, “Color sealing grout lines is one of the many services we offer and it is definitely the most effective way to create a perfect, new look.” Using a step-by-step process, Grout Tech begins by using a cleansing product to remove all bacteria and surface dirt with special machinery. They will then apply a color seal (of your choice).

Once the sealer is applied the grout lines will be permanently protected from any stains. The color seal also guarantees against cracking, chipping and peeling. Additionally, they will also cosmetically fix or replace chipped or cracked tiles, making your bathroom or kitchen tile like new again. Carla Bartow, a satisfied customer, shares her experience, “When BJ came out to give us a quote, she looked at the job and I could tell immediately that she knew what she was talking about. We had our family room, kitchen and dining room regrouted. They also re-grouted the tub, shower and base of our toilet in

our bathroom. They were fantastic! Not only were they professional and reliable but they also completed the job much faster than we had anticipated.”
Excellent Service Leads to Referrals Throughout the years, Grout Tech has grown through its many referrals from happy customers. People really appreciate that Grout Tech saves them time and money, but it is the excellent service provided that has really helped this business grow. Doris Strathearn, another Grout Tech success story, said that before calling Grout Tech her bathroom and guest bathroom shower and floor grout had deteriorated over time and the tiles were dull and stained. “The tile was in good condition but it was stained so we had Grout Tech come out and clean them and they turned out very well.” They were so pleased that they have already referred Grout Tech to neighbors in their community. old moldy areas and keep your dry wall free from water damage. From old to new in just one day! If you are tired of scrubbing until your hands are sore trying to clean stained, old grout, call Grout Tech today! San Jose Mexican Restaurant Boasts Delicious Authentic Fare, A Vibrant Atmosphere and Excellent Value!
By Kim Thomas There is no need to drive across the county for the fresh and authentic taste of Mexico! Dine at San Jose Mexican Restaurant, located at Arbor Square just north of Land O’ Lakes High School on Land O’ Lakes Boulevard. Celebrating its One-Year Anniversary this month, San Jose Mexican Restaurant gained popularity fast in the area due to neighbors telling neighbors about the consistently delicious food and great service! The perfect locale for lunch and dinner, it’s open seven days a week and the already affordable menu is made even better with San Jose’s specials. General manager Jeff has been there since day one and recalls the mad rush to get San Jose Mexican Restaurant open last November. “We were told that it would be January before we could open and then we got the call two weeks before Thanksgiving that we could open, so we made it happen!” For three years prior to managing the San Jose Mexican Restaurant in Land O’ Lakes, Jeff managed a sister restaurant, Vallarta’s in Wesley Chapel. “We have a lot of regulars and we’ve grown fast in our first year because many of the people from the surrounding neighborhoods like The Groves bring tell their friends and neighbors about us.” The open, airy space at San Jose Mexican Restaurant boasts vibrant and happy Mexican décor, and if you like to watch TV while you dine, there are six large flat screen TVs. But the TVs don’t take center stage, as the lovely sounds of a strumming guitar and Mexican music playing add to the great ambiance. It seems like a great place to host a party, and there is an awesome sombrero for the guest of

And if you love listening to a live Mariachi band (who doesn’t!), plan to come on a Thursday evening to listen to live Mariachi from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The feast begins as soon as you sit down, when your table is presented with chips so crisp and salsa so fresh that writing about it makes me want some again! If you love guacamole, then order the Guacamole San Jose, which is AMAZING! The menu is expansive! From appetizers to a la Carte items and side orders, to salads, entrées and combos, you could eat here every day and never get bored. There are 26 lunch combos and 23 of them cost $7 or less! Now that is an affordable and filling lunch! There are seven different specialty tacos, six specialty quesadillas, six different enchilada dishes, and ten specialty burritos. Specialty dinner entrees feature dishes made with pork, chicken, steak and seafood. And the Fajitas are always a popular choice. They also have a delicious Angus burger or grilled chicken sandwich, or the Carne Asada (a Ribeye steak topped with grilled onions), if you want an All-American favorite. There are eight different steak entrées! On a recent visit, we shared a feast, but I have to admit that the San Jose Tossed Shrimp salad is so fresh and healthy tasting that I didn’t want to share! Molcajete is another delicious specialty that is a must-try. Served in a dish carved from volcanic stone, the Molcajete is a sizzling combination of steak, chicken and shrimp cooked with tomatoes, onions peppers, mushrooms and squash, and topped off with cheese and salsa. It is served with rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream,

“3 Wishes” Continued from page 1 then I share what I can do for them. We talk about what kind of outcomes they can expect, price, how long it lasts – overall, what to expect with the treatment.” Jenny refuses to allow the work she does on her clients to be glaringly obvious that they had work done. Rather, she stresses subtlety, aiding in the natural hiding of the lines and furrows, and using the art of dermalfillers to enhance cheeks, downturned mouths, and lips that have lost their youthful fullness. Her magic is considered achieved when the woman feels rejuvenated, but not overdone. “My philosophy is if you’ve had good work done, no one is going to notice it. Most people don’t want you knowing what they had done. That is my goal too. I want my patients walking out of here looking refreshed and beautiful, feeling really good about themselves, having had some time given to them and spent with them. We never want someone to ask, ‘eww, what did you do?’ “ Despite her services not always taking a full 60 minutes, each session

is booked for one hour, allowing for a relaxing, unhurried treatment. Jenny’s perceives her services as a form of women’s health. “My practice is based on based on taking care of women and most women don’t want to come in here, be rushed and leave. They want to chat and might want to add something, so I give them that time.” And there is nothing cookie-cutter about 3 Wishes Aesthetics. Jenny customizes every treatment for each patient. “I listen to the patient and let them direct their treatment plan.” With competition strong in the field, Jenny feels she stands out in several areas. “It’s my years of experience. I don’t do anything halfway, my prices are good, but more than that it’s my personal touch,” said Jenny. “I developed a special technique using dermal fillers to lift a saggy, downturned mouth, I call it mouth rejuvenation, beautiful, comfortable and less chance of a bruise.” The most common request Jenny receives is for Botox, to relax frown lines, forehead lines, and crows’ feet. “The lines between their eyes make them look angry, I can relax those

angry lines with a little Botox.” An estimated 17 million people use Botox injections as a temporary solution to the permanence of aging, relaxing wrinkles. With the festivities of the upcoming holidays, everyone wants to look their best! During the Holiday Season, if you get one syringe of filler, enjoy $75.00 off a second syringe, if used on the same day by the same patient. Jenny has extensive training in the science of microneedling, sounds painful but isn’t, she says. Every six to

eight weeks, skin cells replace themselves and each time the do, they age a bit. On top of natural aging, there is the sun and environmental exposure that age skin even more. Microneedling makes miniscule micro-channels in the skin that reprogram the cells to act and look younger. The new cells that come in are actually better and healthier. “No heat, no chemicals,” said Jenny. “It’s very safe and painless. It feels more like vibration on the skin. and builds collagen. It improves overall skin health. It can even treat scars. The downtime is no makeup for 24 hours and you might be a little red when you leave.” Jenny also provides her patients with skincare products like Lifeline Pro Plus that she diligently researched and uses to increases the positive results of her facial artistry services. In addition to Botox, dermalfillers and micro-needling, Jenny offers another non-evasive treatment, Microcurrent that reduces under eye puffiness, sagging jowls, double chins and droopy eyebrows. She also offers an array of skin treatments including chemical peels
