Dear Prospective Home Buyer, My family has lived in the home on Burlington Place for the past 7 years. We have been so fortunate to have found this home in this neighborhood. If it was not for my job location and the long commute from Springfield, this would have been our permanent home. First, the home is spacious for our family of 4. Second, the community is most ideal for young couples and families with or without children. We have friendly neighbors and we look out for each other. The community is diverse with ages from infants to older adults who have retired. The community is well kept with a very dedicated board. Each resident and homeowner try to keep the neighborhood clean, free of debris and conducive for children to roam and feel safe. The upkeep is daily and weekly professionally and by us. We celebrate major holidays and change of seasons with block get-togethers, all put together by the board and volunteers. Our community is blessed to have great schools nearby with ratings of 9 out of 10. Elementary school is Keene Mill ES and Irving Middle School and West Springfield School. They all have won awards in teaching and excellence. In terms of commute, transportation is easily accessible with Springfield metro station less than 1 mile away. We are fortunate also to have the slug line which is free carpooling that has been in existence for over 30 years and with no incidences or problems. Participating the slug commute allows for driving over the HOV and incredibly short distance to major points in Rosslyn and Washington, D.C. I have been both a passenger and slug driver. Beyond our neighborhood, there are great family restaurants, fitness centers, several Plazas. Nestled near the community are trails and nature parks at short distance away. We will miss our first home and our family hopes you will be able to build your memories as we have.
