FROM THE OWNER

Dear Prospective Home Buyer, This condo was our first home together and where we fell in love over the two years before getting married. We loved our cozy yet spacious getaway from the hustle of busy travel schedules for work, yet we loved being able to go out and enjoy all the great restaurants, bars, and activities Capitol Hill, H Street, and the Navy Yard have to offer. If it weren’t for a great job opportunity for Stephanie, this would have been our home that we got married in and enjoyed many other celebrations and relaxing weekends home. We are a couple fortunate to have many friends that we love to host. We celebrated many holiday parties, birthdays, and simple couples dinners sharing our love for cooking across the open countertop with our friends and loved ones (for one holiday, we proved it’s possible to host 25 people comfortably in the spacious living room!). We hosted many friends from out of town, further proving you can turn that same spacious living room into a second bedroom when needed. We spent most weekends walking to Eastern Market for the Saturday farmers market, going on runs along East Capitol to the U.S. Capitol and National Mall, and picnicking in Lincoln Park. Through snow days, summer days, and holidays, we enjoyed so many aspects of our condo and neighborhood in Hill East. We found the community of our condo building was both comforting and exciting for two DC transplants. We became close with a number of our neighbors through tending to the building’s vegetable and herb garden, sharing cooking recipes, and the latest beverage discoveries. Our home provided all the accessibility we needed, with an easy 10-minute bike commute to work at Union Station, a 15-minute drive or cab ride to DCA for all-too-often work trips, and quick access to Virginia, Maryland, and Northwest DC thanks to an easy route to I-295 and I-695. We met in DC, fell in love in this city, and grew our love in this home. It will always be a meaningful place for us, and we only hope that you experience as much joy, love, and community as we have. Sincerely,

Stephanie and Spencer Lucker
