Dear Prospective Home Buyer, Our family has lived in the house on Gordon Drive for more than 10 years and it has been a wonderful place to call home. The need to be closer to a job is the only reason we’re not staying for 10 more years. Our five children spent their teen years in this home. They kicked soccer balls and played other games in the backyard. That large flat yard was a big part of what drew us to the house. Our sons worked on go-karts and bicycles in the shed. One of the things we love best about our house is looking at the beautiful trees from our dining room, as if we were in a tree house! We’ve enjoyed family barbecues on the deck, shared many laughs and meals in the dining room, and watched some big games in the basement rec room, while sitting in front of the fire. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, and all of the kids’ schools, including a new high school, are within a mile, and there is shopping within blocks. One of our daughters ran almost daily on the long jogging trail along 234, and it was just a short drive to soccer fields at Howison and Hellwig Parks. Our community affords easy access to Dumfries Rd (Rt. 234) and is situated at nearly the midway point between Interstates 66 and 95. There are commuter lots with slug lines and bus routes where 234 meets both interstates. We are going to miss our home in Independent Hill. It has been filled with many wonderful memories.
