Dear Prospective Home Buyer, Writing this letter prompts mixed emotions; on one hand, we are sad that the pursuit of a graduate degree is moving us to North Carolina—we wish we could remain in our condo on North Patrick for years to come. On the other hand, we are excited by the possibility of all that this home has in store for its next residents. From the moment we first saw the beautifully sunlit living area of the condo, we had a hunch that this would be a special place to us—and that has absolutely been the case! We have been able to live an abundant life in this home. There’s no other way of describing the location except to say it is fantastic. Nancye’s consulting job had her splitting time between Foggy Bottom (only a 15 minute drive via the GW Parkway) and frequent trips to Reagan Airport (7 minutes door-to-door…trust us; she’s gotten that timing down to a science!). A 10 minute walk places you at the Braddock Road Metro station with access to blue and yellow lines and Alex’s commute out to Tyson’s Corner was against the flow of the heavy commuter traffic, which was a major plus. There is an endless array of shopping and dining options from which to choose. We have loved spending our evenings on King Street (Virtue Feed and Grain is a favorite) and in Del Ray (don’t miss the Dairy Godmother). Of course, you’ll notice all of the development that’s happening nearby. The EDENS 530 project promises even more excitement. While the location is one of our favorite things about this home, what makes it most special is the community we have found while living here. Our neighbors in the 915 building—and the 4th floor especially—have become dear friends. We know they will welcome their new neighbors with open arms. Most of all, I think we will miss sitting in the living room and drinking in the beauty of Old Town Alexandria. It is such a treat to be able to watch the sunset paint the sky vivid pink and blue hues as the day draws to a close. This home has been filled with so many wonderful memories. We will really miss it but know that its next owners are in for the same wonderful treat we have experienced! Sincerely,
