Objective The Course of Spanish for Speakers of Other Languages is a Learning Management System (LMS) program that allows participants to work autonomously. Before embarking on this experience, a diagnostic test is conducted in order to assess your language level at the beginning and end of the program.
Face-to-face Program Cartagena is the most prominent tourist destination in Colombia, and due to its gastronomy, culture, history, architecture and magnificent sceneries, it has been designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Cartagena’s exquisite night-life, historical tours, beaches and a solid logistical infrastructure, provides visitors with the best experiences.

Length: 1 month per level Activities If you learn Spanish in Cartagena, you will have the opportunity to attend classes in our modern building. This place meets all the physical and technological requirements to guarantee a proper academic development of your Spanish lessons. You will also learn the language experientially by means of planned tours around Cartagena, both day and night.
• Traditional Cuisine Mote de Queso Costeño (Yam and cheese soup), fish, cheese stuffed arepas (corn cakes), carimañolas (meat or cheese stuffed cassava dumplings), butifarra (pork sausages) and fish soup. • Shopping (Visit to las Bovedas) • Cultural visits Exhibitions, museums, Naval museum, Zenú Gold Museum, Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Inquisition. • Beach (Baru and Rosario Islands) • Historical Tours to San Felipe de Barajas Castle, the Convent of La Popa, San Pedro Claver Square and Walled City.
Cartagena at Night: The night tour includes:
• Transport from your hotel/cruise ship • Walking tour around the Historical Center (Bocagrande, Manga and the Walled City) • Party in a Chiva (colorful wooden bus used as a traditional transport in Colombian rural areas that has been adapted to party while listening to music and enjoying a drink). • Entrance to a local night club. • Trying local traditional fried snacks.
Virtual Program By enrolling in our Course of Spanish for Speakers of Other languages, you will ensure a high-quality learning of the language, since it has been designed by Hispanic American specialized professionals in the teaching and learning of a second language.

Virtual and Face-to-Face Program This course gives you the opportunity to learn Spanish through an experiential methodology. You can start your learning process wherever you are, and by the end of the course, you will travel to Cartagena to practice the language by direct interaction with locals in real contexts and with activities designed to meet your learning goals.

During the tour, participants will enjoy a visit to San Felipe de Barajas Castle, located in the San Lazaro Hills. This castle was originally fortified by Spaniards in 1536 to avoid attacks. While going past the old historical area, you can find the arches of Las Bovedas, a place filled with handmade Colombian crafts, stores and boutiques. *All courses and guided tours can be customized
