SOURCE LPG & Forest Forest & Purchase.
PEOPLES PARTICIPATION: MAIN PROBLEMS Personnel removed from Dam area settled at other places are not provided with road facilities. Vaterinary and dispensary is away from the villages and accomodation is not available for the same. Drinking and irrigated water is not sufficient in the villages. All the machineries and crushers are creating huge dust and smoke in the environment. Total land has been dryed due to dust and warming. Private land acquired by Dam authorities have not been given compensation. Cultivated land has been involved in Dam and no other income source is available to the people. Pollution and heating is in very huge limit which is effecting life of the locals. Crops and wild plants have been destroyed by the pollution. Wild animals and stray cattles destroys the crops. Lantana bushes are in huge scale in the govt and private land which is very harmfull. Many blank areas are lying in the MWS arround the Dam.
PEOPLES PRIORITIES
SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT All the villages be provided link road from Patti and Bus facilities be provided. Vaterinary and dispensary be opened in the nearest place and accomodation be provided for the same. Water for drinking and irrigation be supplied from Jajjar approx 12 Kms span and large storage tank be made at Feru. Sprinkling of water be done in all the working areas. Van sarovar/ponds be made at Neri, Parnali, Pauda, Deoghat, Piplighat, Dora Panda for rain water storage. Compensation and employment be given to the personnel effected from the Dam site. Control on pollution be managed and Dam authorities be asked to provide compensation against the losses. Management for wild animals and stray cattles be done. Lantana bushes be removed in all the areas. All blank areas be planted with suitable plants to save the environment.
