“Narra la leggenda che un giorno il dispettoso Cupido tagliò le divine unghie di Venere con la punta di una freccia mentre ella dormiva. Lasciò le unghie sparpagliate sulla sabbia e le Parche le mutarono in pietra, perché nessuna parte del corpo divino dovesse mai distruggersi”. Ecco la strada che Cerdomus ha intrapreso per la creazione del suo nuovo gioiello LUMINOR. Ispirazione forse alquanto fantasiosa ma altrettanto reale... il nome “onice” infatti deriva dalla parola greca “onux” che significa “unghia”... ed è proprio dall’elaborazione di una macro sezione dell’onice che si sviluppa la trama che, sfuggente, corre sulle superici specchianti di LUMINOR. Realizzato in gres fine porcellanato, si presenta nell’assoluta magia del colore nero, spaziando poi nei colori calcedoni quali il bianco, il beige ed il grigio, da qui fino ai toni più caldi ed avvolgenti del color bruno sino ad arrivare ad una tonalità di rosso che molto assomiglia al colore del ferro ossidato. “Legend has it that one day the mischievous Cupid cut off Venus' fingernails with the tip of one of his arrows while the goddess slept. He scattered the nails over the sand and the Fates transformed them into stone, so that no part of the divine body should ever wither away.” This legend is the inspiration behind the new LUMINOR collection from Cerdomus. Not as far-fetched an inspiration as it might appear, for the name "onyx" in fact derives from the Greek onux, which means “fingernail” - and it's onyx which gives the surface of LUMINOR tiles their unique glossy sheen. « La légende veut qu'un jour, ce taquin de Cupidon coupa les ongles splendides de Vénus avec la pointe d'une flèche pendant qu'elle dormait. Voici la voie choisie par Cerdomus pour la création de son nouveau bijou LUMINOR. Une inspiration aussi fantaisiste que réelle…en effet, le nom “onyx” dérive de la parole grecque “onux” qui signifie “ongle”… et c'est justement à partir de l'élaboration d'une macro section de l'onyx que se développe la trame qui, fuyante, court sur les surfaces réfléchissantes de LUMINOR. Réalisé en grès cérame fin, il se présente dans la magie absolue de la couleur noire, en allant ensuite des couleurs de calcédoines comme le blanc, le beige et le gris jusqu'aux tons les plus chauds et enveloppants du brun pour arriver à une tonalité de rouge se rapprochant fort de la couleur du fer oxydé. “Es heißt, dass der freche Gott der Liebe, Amor, Venus die göttlichen Nägel mit der Spitze eines Pfeils abschnitt, während sie schlief. Die abgeschnittenen Nägel fielen in den Sand und die Parzen verwandelten sie in Steine, damit kein Teil des göttlichen Körpers jemals vergehen sollte.” Das ist der Weg, den Cerdomus bei der Kreation seines neuen Juwels LUMINOR eingeschlagen hat. Eine vielleicht äußerst fantasiereiche, aber doch ebenso reelle Inspiration... der Name “Onyx” leitet sich ab vom Griechischen “onux”, was so viel bedeutet wie “Fingernagel”... und die Verarbeitung stellt einen Makroquerschnitt des Onyx dar, der sich durch das Gewebe zieht und auf den spiegelnden Oberflächen von LUMINOR entlang läuft. Hergestellt aus Feinsteingut, präsentiert sich das Stück mit der ganzen Magie der schwarzen Farbe und weiter in den Chalcedon-Farben Weiß, Beige und Grau und immer weiter zu warmen und faszinierenden Farben wie Braun bis hin zum Rot, das der Farbe von oxidiertem Eisen sehr ähnlich ist.Für Sie von Cerdomus...
