Christmas at the Park is a winter wonderland with over a half-mile drive-through of lights. Almost 450 pieces are on display with over 400,000 lights. As guests travel through the display, they will have an opportunity to participate in an A-State Howl and Scarlet Scavenger Hunt of several custom-designed pieces. There is also the opportunity for guests to venture out of their car and visit the concession stand, take pictures with props, and when available, even meet Santa.
On November 3, 1995, an old Jonesboro building took on a new life with the opening of local artist Sara Howell’s studio and gallery. Since that time, the Sara Howell Studio and Gallery has given Jonesboro artists and patrons a venue to show and purchase art. Her first show highlighted nine local artists, and through the years, Howell’s body of work and the number of artists represented has grown and evolved.
