Writing down your ideal day for powerful manifestation

Words SANDY FORSTER

I remember listening to an audio about the power between the pen and the mind; how writing unleashes magic that is far greater than your actions could ever produce by themselves and why it’s so important to write down your goals. It suggested I write down my ‘ideal day’.

At the time, I was over $100,000 in debt and working seven-days-a-week in a business I didn’t enjoy and receiving the sole parent benefit (welfare) of $15,000 a year from the government. To say I was stressed about money was a mammoth understatement.

But this was going to be fun… how would my ideal day look? How would it feel?

“First,” I wrote, “I’d get up in the morning and meditate, do some yoga, and then walk along the beach. I’d come home, get the kids to school, then go to the gym. Afterwards, I’d read some inspiring books to help me grow and become a better person. Then I’d listen to personal development audios and hopefully share what I’d learnt with someone else and make a difference in their lives.”

I said to a friend, “If I was living my ideal day, I’d never have time to work.” I didn’t for a moment think I’d ever experience that life.

Fast-forward six months, I was attending a seminar for a new business I joined selling personal development audios and seminars.

The first day was ‘business training’, and we were told, “to be successful, you have to plan your day”, and our homework was to fill in a day planner. That evening I thought, “how exactly do I spend my time these days?”

First, I get up in the morning and meditate, do some yoga then run down the beach. After I get home, I take the kids to school and go to the gym; then come home and study some of the personal development books and audios I sell. Then I phone people and tell them how great the products are.

At this point I’m getting chills down my spine, as I remembered writing an identical list months earlier, thinking it would be an impossibility. And here I was living it and making $10,000 a month – almost as much as I’d make in an entire year previously!

In that moment, sitting on my hotel bed with tears of joy and gratitude running down my face, I realised – not just in my head but in my heart – that I had the power to write my own script; that I could design my future and create the life of my dreams.

So, I invite you to grab your magic pen and begin manifesting your own miracles.
