Ge ng Started System Requirements The WireRat 1.0 iPhone App is compa ble with the devices below:

iPhone 4 & 4S

iPhone 5

The WireRat 1.0 iPhone App requires at least the iOS 5 opera ng system

The WireRat 1.0 iPhone App requires an ac ve internet connec on, such as:

Ge ng Started Downloading the App

App Store If you do not have an Apple account, you will need to create an account in order to download the app. Follow these instruc ons to do so:

1. From the Home Screen, tap Se ngs, and then tap iTunes & App Stores. 2. Tap Create New Apple ID. 3. Choose the appropriate store by tapping Store, and select the country in which you are located. Tap Done to confirm your selec on, and then tap Next to proceed to the next screen.

4. The next screen will display the iTunes Store Terms and Condi ons. You can opt to have the Terms and Condi ons emailed to you for easier reading by tapping Send by Email. To do this, enter your valid email address, and then tap Send.

5. To agree to the Terms and Condi ons, tap the Agree bu on which is located on the bo om‐right of the page. Tap Agree again when the confirma on appears.

6. Once you've agreed to the terms and condi ons, you'll need to enter an email address, password, and choose three security ques ons and provide answers to them.

7. The email address you provide will be your new Apple ID (which is what you will use to log in to the iTunes Store). Enter your email address, and then tap Next. 8. You can also enter an op onal rescue email address. Providing a rescue email address is recommended. 9. Next, you'll be required to enter your billing informa on. To choose a different Credit Card type, tap one of the available op‐ ons, and then tap Done. You will not be charged un l you make a purchase.

10. Once you've filled out all of the fields for your billing informa on, tap Next. 11. You'll then see a screen that says Verify Your Account. 12. Tap Done, and check your email for a verifica on email from Apple. 13. Open the email, and tap the Verify Now link enclosed in the email to ac vate your account. 14. You'll be taken to a secure page to enter your Apple ID and password to complete your account verifica on. 15. Once you've entered your email address and password, tap Verify Address.

Ge ng Started Downloading the App, Con nued 1. Open the App store on your iPhone, by clicking the App Store icon.



2. Tap the Search bu on on the bo om naviga on ribbon. 3. Enter “WireRat” in the search box, and tap Enter. 4. Tap the WireRat app, and tap the

bu on.

5. You will then be prompted to enter your login name and password, even though the app is free. 6. Once this informa on isvalidated, you will then tap the bu on. 7. Your app will begin download immediately.

Logging in 1. Tap the WireRat icon on your homepage. WireRat 2. You will be taken to a login screen, pictured right. 3. Enter your Username & Password. If you would like to eliminate needing to sign on each use, slide the “Remember Password?” switch to ON. (We recommend password protec ng you en‐ re phone if you u lize this op on, due to the amount of informa on and capabili‐ es accessible through the WireRat App.)

4. Tap Sign In. When prompted, allow the WireRat app to use your current loca on. This will enable you to create the la tude and longitude field for the new pivot, and eliminate the need to write it down and manually type it into the computer later.

3. You will then be prompted to enter the customer’s informa on:

Adding New Informa on Adding New Irriga on Sites 1. Tap the WireRat icon and login. 2. From the Customer page, tap the customer with which you would like to associate a new site. 3. Tap the bu on and a box promp ng “What would you like to do?” will appear. Tap Add Irriga on Site. 4. You will then be prompted to enter the irriga on site details:

Nickname for the irriga on site Corresponding Device ID & Brand Tap Add Irriga on Site

Adding New Informa on Adding La tude & Longitude to an Irriga on Site 1. Tap the WireRat icon and login. 2. From the Customer page, tap the customer with which the site is associated. Then tap the specific site with which you would like to add la tude & longitude. 3. Tap the Loca on tab along the bo om naviga on ribbon. 4. Tap the

bu on and a box promp ng “What would you like to do?” will appear.

If you tapped “Don’t Allow” when prompted, you will need to change your phone se ngs to enable the WireRat app to set loca ons. To do this, exit the WireRat app. Tap the Se ngs app. Scroll down to App se ngs and tap Loca on Services. Ensure that all loca on services are turned ON. Then scroll down and ensure WireRat loca ons se ngs are also turned on.

From the Customer page, tap the customer with which the site is associated, then tap the site name. 3. Tap the bu on and a box promp ng “What would you like to do?” will appear. Tap Add New Recipient or Use Exis ng Recipient. For exis ng recipients, tap their name.





4. For new recipients, tap SMS, Email, or Voice messages, and enter contact informa on. Tap Add Recipient. In order to have one person receive mul ple forms of no fica on, you must separately create each recipient. For example, for John to receive both Emails and SMS, you must add a recipient and enter name and his SMS number, and tap add recipient. Then add another recipient, select email, enter John’s name again, his email, and create a second recipient.

Changing Exis ng Se ngs Edi ng Customer Informa on 1. Tap the WireRat icon and login. 2. From the Customer page, tap the customer with which you would like to edit. 3. Tap the

bu on and a box promp ng “What would you like to do?” will appear.

Tap Edit Customer. 4. Enter any desired changes, and then tap Save Customer. While this app does facilitate adding customers and upda ng pivots on‐site, it does not have all the capabili es as the website. In order to input or edit addi onal informa on , please visit NetIrrigate.net

Changing Exis ng Se ngs Edi ng Irriga on Sites 1. Tap the WireRat icon and login 2. From the Customer page, tap the customer who owns the irriga on site which you would like to edit. 3. Tap the

bu on and a box promp ng “What would you like to do?” will appear.

Tap Edit Site.

4. Enter any desired changes, and then tap Update Irriga on Site. If a red exclama on point appears next to your site name, it means you need to edit the site and input the associated Device ID.

Changing Exis ng Se ngs Edi ng No fica on Recipient Se ngs 1. Tap the WireRat icon and login. 2. From the Customer page, tap the customer who owns the irriga on site which you would like to edit. 3. Tap the site which you would like to update no fica on se ngs, then tap the next to the no fica on recipient you want to edit.

4. Slide specific services off or on, or from the Site Details page, slide all services off or on. Then tap the again to save changes and return to the Site Details page.

The WireRat app is designed for the input of informa on. If you need to delete no fica on recipient informa on en rely, you will need to log into NetIrrigate.net on the computer

Viewing Informa on Viewing WireRat No fica ons 1. Tap the WireRat icon and login. 2. From the Customer page, tap the customer who owns the irriga on site which you would like to view. 3. Tap the name of site, and then tap Events on the bo om naviga on ribbon. 4. You may then scroll through no fica ons sent.

To view more detailed informa on, tap the event to see who received the no fica on, the message sent, and the me/date stamp.
